    I support you doing a rant on skinmedica, it's unbelievable that they wouldn't share info from the batch code, and it absolutely makes me suspicious their products are old. Unacceptable, especially ones at that price point!

    I’m with you!!! Yes when the exp date is on the product itself I am SO grateful! I mean I need a magnifying glass and light to hit it at the exact right angle to read it most of the time, but at least it was there. It seems like a lot of Japanese companies aren’t helping us out with deciding which products are too old.

    Kelly Driscoll says that if you liked the texture and feel of the Illiyoon ceramide ato cream, or whatever it’s called, before they reformulated, that this is very, very similar to that. I’ve never used Illiyoon, so I can’t speak on that. But for those who liked it more before the reformulation, they could give this a try.

    I love this moisturizer, even more than illiyoon. I think it has more ceramides possibly, but it is more emolient and less thick, so i can layer a bean sized amount in at the end of a routine, or I also love their water gel cream underneath a thicker moisturizer! Their mist is amazing too- like cream skin but more ceramides!

      I agree with you, this one does feel more hydrating than the illiyoon. The texture is just perfect for me and my skin just loves it.

    Hi Sarah, thanks for the review. I bought the lotion instead of cream. It’s nice too and easy to absorb 😊

    It is thicker and more emollient than the Illiyoon Ato-Ceramide cream.

    Thank you. I wanted to try this but I don’t want to breakout so I’ll move on to another product when it’s time to try someone new. ❤not worth the risk.

      This one is pretty thick but they have a lighter moisturizer- I think it is their Ato Soothing Gel Cream - I think that one would be much more friendly for breakout prone skin.

    This doesn't sound like a bad deal at 2.7oz for $24, but the Illiyoon ceramide ato cream being like 6.7oz for around $15 is unbeatable and solidly a dupe for the product itself? I'd choose the Illiyoon. I actually do have the Illiyoon and really enjoy it! It's been helpful to deal with the effects of living somewhere with real deep cold snowy winters, my city rounded out 2022 with 189 inches of snow 😂 so I'm really getting to test out products for dry skin this winter. Another bonus with the Illiyoon is that I feel more than comfortable using it on other dry parts of my body, the price per ounce is just too good!
    Edit to add I have naturally oily skin but the Illiyoon has worked super well for me. I tend to wake up with a really oily T zone with some heavier products but I don't with this. It really helps balance preventing dry patches without turning into a grease pool! Lol

      You are right about that, I hadn't taken into consideration just how large the illiyoon bottle is, that stuff lasts me a long, long time and the price is something that can't be beat!

    Can you do a video comparing this to illyoon and Cerave moisturizing cream?

    • @angelinebiswas7611
      @angelinebiswas7611 Рік тому +2

      I’m assuming it’s extremely similar to the illyoon but knowing Korean moisturizer creams, it’s likely no comparison to cereves. There’s just something sooo good about the textures of Korean and Japanese creams it’s so beautiful

      Kelly Driscoll has a This or That video comparing the Aestura to the Illiyoon. She's got combo skin and is the person basically responsible for putting the Illiyoon on other influencers' radar in the first place.

    Yes, two points here. I believe Dr Dray said “ noncomedogenic “ means nothing on products, it’s just something they like to put on there. As well as “ Dermatologist tested”, because they DO NOT sit around all day testing products. As far as expiration dates, I’ve Googled about that & the advice is, depending on the product, if it’s unopened, it may last 1-2 years longer as far as shelf life. If something is already opened, it could be months more. When in doubt, throw it out. Obviously if it smells bad, looks bad, etc. what I like to do, if it doesn’t have an expiration date is I put little white label stickers on with the date I got it.

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  Рік тому +2

      You are so right, noncomedogenic is essentially meaningless marketing jargon. The only thing that matters on a product packaging is the ingredients list. 👍

    • @JessieDubois8
      @JessieDubois8 Рік тому +2

      There’s actually more to the “dermatologist tested” thing. Dr Dray said that it means a dermatologist tested it. However, it doesn’t mean whether that dermatologist liked it or not. They could loathe a product. But because they tried it, the brand can slap “dermatologist tested” on it all they want. However, she says that “dermatologist approved” DOES mean a derm tried it and liked it

      People who’ve tried both usually say Aestura is similar but more cosmetically elegant, which makes sense because they’re both owned by Amore Pacific.
