    When I first bought the Buffet from The Ordinary, it was $10. The new one is $32. I cannot get over that considering what the brand was all about

      $32 is with the copper. I've tried even more expensive copper peptide serums and TO one has been the best.

      Yeah there has been a price creep for sure, but I think you’re confusing two distinct products. The Buffet and The Buffet + Copper Peptides are not the same. Copper serums tend to be higher priced.

      They are definitely creeping up in price. It also seems like their new releases are also getting pricier as we go. I believe last month Estee Lauder finally paid their last payment to take over "full ownership" of Deciem and The Ordinary. Kind of sad, I cannot imagine how much Brandon Truaxe could have done with his company if he were still around. Huge loss for the skincare community.

    Hola Sarah, I bought and already finished the G&G Azaelic after your recommendation. I like my vitamins A, C. I tried TO peptides once but didn’t see much different, probably needed to use for a longer period of time. I am going to start Azaelic prescription.

    I can't believe you didn't list the Grek and Gorgeous Power Peptides! It has encapsulated copper peptides. I'm really loving it, like a lot. I'm going to trade my TO copper peptides serum for this. That's how much I love it😂😂💗💗💗And I've been a TO Cu peptides fan for years! Plus it's far less fussy to pair. @NOBSBeauty  5 днів тому +1

      So far LOVING the G&G Power Peptides! Will review it asap- well worth checking out. In terms of benefits, some ingredients take much longer for it to "show" a difference. Some exfoliants and actives can take 3,4,5+ months, and by then sometimes people won't know which product to attribute the change to. For me, there's only a few ingredients where I noticed a benefit very quickly. The G&G Apad serum was about a couple weeks. The SkinMedica TNS was about a week. Other than those two, everything else took time, which is understandable. It isn't quick for the skin to increase collagen production in a noticeable way. It is funny, there are have been a few products where my Subscribers noticed a difference faster than I did! One of those was the Topicals Faded Serum.

      @NOBSBeauty Well, that explains it perfectly! Thank you💗💗💗I think I'm at the maintenance point. I've legitimately done all I can. My skin 8s lifted and firm, which is saying something, cuz it was super saggy when I'd lost 80 lbs. I just love how easy the G&G peptides pair! IF I could afford the TNS, perhaps it would be a different story. I'm still switching from TO to G&G😆😂🤣

      So right now it's on Dermstore for $220 and if you use a cash back sites like topcashback or retailmenot they both have between 10% and 6% paybacks. In the past I've purchased it also from Editorspick and from time to time they will have it on sale for about $150. Worth watching those two sites for good deals. I also stocked up a bit during the black Friday sales when it was on a pretty good sale!

    Thank you for the informative videos! Question how do you make sure the aliexpress peptides are legit? Have you had any issues with distribution within the cream (ie: when I used the vitamin c powder from the ordinary, it burnt my skin because of uneven application)

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  5 днів тому

      I do know they are legit, I know this sounds strange, but I actually had them randomly tested for amount and purity. I picked a few random sellers on Aliexpress and tested them. Most were legit, but this source was by far the best and purest. One vendor was legitimately blue power and nothing more. Testing wasn't cheap but well worth it because the last thing I would want to do is link to an unauthentic source. I have another source I'm working on as well. I will let everyone know when I have more information on that.

    I really enjoyed this topic. Im always interested to hear peoples favorite ingredients outside of the normal vitamin C, retinol, direct acids triad. Definitely a fan of copper peptides and started using growth factors a couple months ago, and I’m happy with the results so far. I’ve been using Statia’s Interface. It’s pretty affordable.

      Thank you for mentioning the DMAE - I've been intending to do a video on this one so I added it to my "to do" list. DMAE is an extremely interesting ingredient being that it was originally intended to be used as a pH Adjusting ingredient and nothing more. It's become a topic of discussion as to whether it is beneficial for skin or if it can be detrimental to skin. Some think in the short term it is helpful but with continued use it can actually be degrading for skin and skin's collagen. More is emerging on this ingredient and PubMed has some research showing it actually may be an antioxidant when used topically. PubMed also has research showing it's skin firming benefits, that being said, the research was funded by Johnson & Johnson so take that into consideration as well. If you are having good results I think I'd stick with it. Also great for firming can be Glycolic Acid when used over the course of a few months so that is also worth considering (if you don't already use an exfoliant).

    Can copper peptides be paired with tretinoin?

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  5 днів тому +1

      This one is a good question, and if you asked 5 different people you will probably get 5 different answers since so many people have differing opinions on stacking different ingredients together. This is especially true of copper peptide because they are still relatively new (they were found in the 1970's). From my experience, with copper peptides you want to avoid using them with other products that have an extremely low pH. This would be products like Ascorbic Acid Serums, Glycolic Acids, and other exfoliants. At this point I do believe you can use Tretinoin with Copper Peptides. If your skin is extremely sensitive it might be worth using them separately. The one thing I do when I use them together is I'll apply the Copper Peptides, apply a neutral serum in-between, then apply the tretinoin. My neutral serum favorites: Hyggee Natural Repair Serum, Purito Centella Unscented Serum, and the Isntree Green Tea Fresh Serum are all some nice options.
