    Just took delivery of my new Mini - same White Silver colour as the vid and love it. Rally informative video thanks. One extra feature worth mentioning is that if you hold the lock button down on the key fob it locks the car, and then press again or hold longer and folds in the mirrors.

    so about the now missing dedicated foglights: Theres a button next to the headlight switch that is meant to be used in bad weather, such as snow/rain/fog/etc., all it does is it gives the lowbeams the full beans as well as turning on both of the cornering lights.
    a couple of things that I think should have been mentioned:
    both side-mirrors are automatically heated if needed. you have no control over it, however I have found it reliable.
    the driver side-mirror dims WITH the rear view mirror. a feature that I feal that every car manufacturer should adopt.

    I recently bought a 2023 MINI Cooper S Convertible in Ionic trim, which suppose to have the Driver Assistance option; that is, an adaptive cruise control, except that it doesn’t. Neither does my car have the panic button in the MINI key fob. It probably suppose to have the head up display but it doesn’t; which I really don’t care to have in the first place. Although no one in the dealership ever mention these omissions in the new MINI Coopers. I suspect, that because of the microchip shortage, the manufacturer decided to exclude some electronic features in the MINIs in order to save them for the more expensive BMW vehicles - that’s my theory. I think that the MINIAC should explain why there are these omissions in the new MINIs because after all, he’s the MINI expert. Other than that, I love my MINI Cooper in the white nanuq metallic with the Chesterfield malt brown interior; now my wife wants to drive my MINI instead of her Mercedes-Benz - I don’t blame her.

      @henryhawthorn8849 Рік тому

      @@TheMINIac my car has an automatic steptronic transmission but with a regular parking brake, not electronic, which I actually prefer. At first I was upset that my car doesn’t have adaptive cruise control, but I’m over it, it’s not a deal breaker, that’s also true of the lack of panic button. Although I’m not sure if my car has parallel parking assist, which I would never use any way - my car is less than two weeks old, so I’m still learning things about it.

  • @yazpib
    @yazpib 3 роки тому

    Bad Weather Lights are affecting basically every Mini model save for the Clubman and Countryman. MY 2022 Clubman doesn't have them. It sucks but I can count on one hand the amount of times I used the fog lights over multiple years and pretty sure I turned them on just to turn them on in my last vehicle. Pretty sure I'd never remember to use the bad weather lights either, so not a big deal.
    Does Mini even sell a car that doesn't have powered mirrors?
    Also don't recommend using the wireless charging for extended periods of time as your phone will overheat and shut off in there.

  • @Mberard
    @Mberard 3 роки тому

    Can you explain the fog light button? I don't know if/when I need to use it. If hit the button and don't notice any lights coming on when I do? Also, can you explain all the driving modes? If / when I should use them? For instance, does Sport really use more fuel? Is Green really efficient - and I don't understand the little symbol that pops up when in Green mode on the dashboard with a dot that moves up and down.

    • @LrcoolJ
      @LrcoolJ Рік тому +1

      If you’re still wondering about sport vs. green, yes there is a difference. the dot that moves up and down is based on the fuel efficiency of your acceleration. the higher it goes the less efficient because you’re acceleration harder. hope that helps.
