This technique is even better if you're using outboard gear like a neve which would force you to put it trough it in mono first to do your eq moves from there which makes even more sense
@@prod.dimension7784 your ears get too adapted to the noise and when you turn it on the next day it might sound like crap to you but depends on experience
You are one of the most true guy online to help new producers like me to improve thanks a lot man. And ya should we mix the entire mix in mono from beginning to end.
Just wanna say on behalf of myself, thanks for these tutorials bro. after like 2 years producing i've finally got my stuff off the ground. Thanks for the inspo and all the tips, its much appreciated
mix in mono, mix in stereo, mix loud, mix quiet, mix medium, do it all if you really want to sound good, also I do recommend while mixing in stereo to do some creative mid side processing so you can get a full and wide mix without anything colliding
Great tip. Also If you really want to get a good mix balance turn off one of your studio monitors and try to mix on just one! It really helps you to focus sounds and make space.....
really I thought mine were bad but of course we are our biggest critiques I do this everyday. ONLY cuz one monitor went bye bye must be part of gods plan
Thanks man! Your videos have really helped me and countless others 💓💓 Correct me if I'm wrong. When we start a mix 1. Turn into mono 2. Levelling 3. creative effects 4.subtractive eq 5. Turn into stereo 6.then panning and stereo selection of individual sounds.??
You know, I was always told to mix in mono but me being hard headed, stayed mixing in stereo and then would wonder why everything is clashing so much. I'm actually excited to utilize this in the progression of my mixes. Thank you for yet another great one lifestyle!
Very nicely demonstrated technique 👍🏻The biggest challenge for me (and for many others I imagine) is the EQ-ing bit. I often make a big mess. It’s not that easy to getting right.
This low key made me scared to go listen to my beats in mono 😂 will be doing this from now on, the difference is crazy. Thanks for reminding me about this!!
Hi, when I do the Mid Side EQ it's like turning the mono knob to 50% so it doesn't work if I turn the mono knob all the way. how to have the same stereo sound but in mono without phase problem, because when I listen to my mix on an android it sounds bad because of the mono and when I listen to other professional mixes on android, I have the impression that it sounds like in stereo
Thanks for the video! I always thought that when you put it in mono to EQ mix, you just had to keep the whole track in mono LOL. Huge mistake, I almost made :D
Man if u can i wanna know much about stereo maybe side equalize techincs and maybe can u show ur acoustic room enviroment or about it cuz i noticed it so imprortnat to correct mixing. also i liked to watch this cuz ur beats is sounds so pleasure to my ears...Peace)
Definitely the best way to make it clear and fresh. I have only on e question about trap beats. How to make kicks hard AF without clipping? When they sound clean and not clashing with 808 it's very good of course, but I still feel them weak into the mix. It is good to use a soft clipper only for kicks so that you can make it a bit louder without ruining the balance of other drums and instruments? And additionally, it's a good idea to use DRUM BUSSES and put compression and additional eq only for the drums pattern? Thanks guys
Good stuff man, I noticed that you had all your instrument tracks spread or widened is this something you normally do to all your instruments ?? Thanks again bro 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for all the tips from your videos man a lot of people try to keep secrets from people who actually want to do this, I salute you. Will you be doing the critique beats stream again anytime soon?

If it sounds good in mono, then you're good. I like mixing in low volumes & raise up my interface for my monitors.
Thx for giving us advice 🚫🧢
