    for anyone who is going try this: make sure to add garlic to the yogurt otherwise its never the same. as a turk i cant imagine this dish without the garlic. because the difference will be huge.

    Cilbir is one of my all-time favorite egg dishes! I love it with lots of minced garlic in the yogurt. Sometimes when I'm lazy and don't feel like waiting for water to boil, I will "poach" the eggs in oil in a pan over low heat, spooning the hot oil over the eggs to cook them evenly. After the eggs are done, I will use the same oil to make the pepper sauce.
    Thank you for another wonderful recipe!

    Hello - this reply might be too old to warrant a response.
    I am making this for my breakfast tomorrow.
    I enjoy a Turkish breakfast - it doesn't bloat me - love the freshness of it all.
    My only issue is that I live in part of England were there are no Turkish bakers.
    Turkish bakers produce some of the finest breads in the world.
    Looking at the yoghurt base, which I will love - I would quite like to add garlic & maybe something else
    I love Cacik & I think I would enjoy, but we have a Turkish restaurant here where I live & their yoghurt accompaniment is Ispanak Tarrator.
    I know spinach is used but I am searching for a traditional way to make it.
    Do you have any recipe in your repertoire or could you possibly show us how to make it please.
    Thank you for your channel you bring my favourite country alive with your cooking.
    David.
    Merhaba - bu yanıt, bir yanıtı garanti edemeyecek kadar eski olabilir.
    Bunu yarın kahvaltımda yapacağım.
    Türk kahvaltısından keyif alıyorum - beni şişirmiyor - her şeyin tazeliğini seviyorum.
    Ispanağın kullanıldığını biliyorum ama bunu yapmanın geleneksel bir yolunu arıyorum.
    Repertuarınızda herhangi bir tarif var mı veya nasıl yapılacağını bize gösterebilir misiniz lütfen?
    Kanalınız için teşekkürler, en sevdiğim ülkeyi yemeklerinizle canlandırıyorsunuz.
    David.

      @TFT  Рік тому +2

      Hello David, thank you for your lovely comment. There are different spinach tarator recipes. Can you describe the one you ate in the restaurant? Does it have only spinach and yogurt as a base, or with carrot? Or a hot oil or butter sauce on top? I might make it in the near future.
      Thanks

    • @idavo
      @idavo Рік тому

      @TFT - what a lovely reply thank you.
      It had spinach & would it be dill?
      The carrot and the hot oil sound amazing also.
      I really would be grateful if you could make any or all of them I shall sure to watch, make notes and prepare myself.
      Thank you once more,
      David.

    Thank you for such a tasty recipe. Basically it is normally said that eating eggs and yogurt together is not good for the gut. But you proved it wrong.

    Very nice! In Bulgaria we call this dish “Jaica po Panagurski” - Яйца по Панагюрски.
