Thank you for the review, I purchased one of the 15 gallon tanks a couple of weeks ago, but I can’t set it up until my granddaughter moves out this Saturday. Your tank setup is beautiful.
Thank you Wendy! Hope you have many hours of enjoyment with your tank! My goldies have grown alot since these 3 months. I'm in a dilemma if I should upgrade or rehome some of them.
Very beautiful! While anything manmade can break, I find Fluval and their product's to usually be good. I like the company very much, but I can understand your concern about your child. Have a nice day!
i bought this tank 1.5 months ago and followed exactly your setup after i watched your wonderful videos. however one of the problems i faced is that my background and foreground plants keep on dying off. only the midground plants are doing fantastic. i thought it might be the water flow or fertilizer or light intensity (i put everything on 100% white 100%RGB). plants still dying or not growing much. So i concluded that the Fluval aquasky light that comes with this, although very good for fish, may not be adequate for a planted tank with monte carlos. I decided to buy a second light to see if it helps.
Hey, Jonathan. Thank you for viewing and enjoying my videos. The videos I post are just my findings and learnings. It doesn't make me right nor wrong. It just works for me and am constantly reviewing for best practices. My tank now consists of 1 anubias petite (on a rock) and mostly cabombas. Previously had a java fern which was doing well too but I removed it as I didn't like the look of it. These plants require relatively low to moderate light intensity, which the equipped Aquasky can manage. This was supposed to be an easy low tech tank for me hence the choice of the plants. I'm not too sure about the requirements of Monte Carlos. They may require something of higher intensity. I believe Fluval came up with an Aquasky Plant 3.0 which may better suit your needs. Also you might wanna see videos from Aquascape Guide. I learnt alot from those videos and bought NilocG Thrive fertilizer after watching their videos. ua-cam.com/video/83ggwJmKXWk/v-deo.html
@@goldfishinaflex4030 hi friend. i have bought a second Fluval light unit. instantly i noticed my foreground plants stopped dying. big improvement in the tank condition.
I have many planted tanks already, but now i just got another, this same Mega Flex that you have, if i just wanted 2 fancies in there do you think that would be ok or will eventually need to rehome them? I got his new tank between two smaller flex's and want this one to have just a few center piece fish, im trying to find stock that doesnt actually require much in decor so its differant to my others.
I'm currently at a point where I believe 2 fancies is the max limit for this tank. Might wanna add more filter media in the center compartment. Might also want to experiment on anoxic filtration by setting up a plenum at the bottom of tank or BCB baskets in the center compartment as there are claims that it helps to reduce nitrates...among other benefits. I will be experimenting with such a setup when my new tank arrives.
Thank you! I can't confirm if the besta can hold it. I fear it may flex under the full weight of the tank. I suggest to play safe and get a sturdy stand for it. I got my aquarium and stand from Carousell thru a seller store named 'Sunpets'. Add $20 for delivery. Check out 'Fluval Flex 123L with Stand 1 Year Warranty', available at S$555 on #Carousell: carousell.app.link/t4MHxs3a1nb
Hi, just some additional info for you. i have this tank, please be warned that the tank's weight when fill up with water and the rocks, can be very very heavy! i originally placed my tank on one of the ikea type furniture but it flexed just like our friend here had predicted. it only happen AFTER i filled up the tank with water and fish. to prevent the fish tank cracking, i had to drain away the water and reinforced the furniture DIY
@@iainm4k Oic. It's a nice tank. The curved glass is very unique. If I were to start over, I don't think I will keep goldfish but smaller fishes instead.
@@goldfishinaflex4030 its a good deal and really doesnt matter what kind of tank for gold fish, the only key is like urself changing water and not get burnt out. This 123L probably max can keep 2-3pcs of 3-5" max

How did you get your lights to do a lightning storm ? I have the 32.5 flex with 2 marine lights.
The Aquasky that comes with it should have that function.
Control it via the Fluval app on bluetooth

Every tank I've owned has the same thickness glass. Pretty standard thickness.
Do you by chance know the length of the led
Hiya. I'm afraid I don't.
Bro where did you got the stand for this tank?
The seller I bought from had a bundle for the stand and the tank SGD555. They must have got it on Taobao and marked it up a little.
