You guys complain too much. It’s not often you have the artist that wrote the song showing you how to play it. Thanks guys I appreciate these tutorials. Keep up the good work.
For those of you staring at verse 2 without a clue I think I've figured it out by watching it at .25 speed haha Fret (String): 7(2) 4(2) 4(2) 6(3) 4(3) 6(3) 4(2), 4(2) 4(2) 7(2) 4(2) 4(2) 7(2) 4(2) 4(3) 6(3) All palm muted
Hi guys, can I make a request not to hard pan the guitars? Maybe pan to 3 and 9 o’clock? I’m deaf in one ear and with headphones on it’s essentially impossible to follow the tutorial as each instrument is only coming out of one channel. Thanks!
Verse 2 Tab Guitar 1(It's not the same exact way he plays it, but it's the same notes. I found it easier) B: 7-----------------------------------------7------------7--------------------------------- G: ------8----8--6--------6--8-----8----------8-------------8-----6------------------- D: --------------------9--------------------------------------------------------9------------ Play clean muted and add some delay. Sorry for the ugly tab, just listen to the song for the rhythm.
+David Franco Thanks for the link. Lance is only playing thirds (root note and 3rd note of each chord on the Intro and Verse 1). I learned this from Worship Artistry.
I know this is old but I'll take a chance anyway. Can anyone clear up what he is playing in the Bridge? Is it octaves? Power chords and inversions? I just cant make out his fingering on the board.
Very cool parts and amazing sound. However, tabs would be great. Not everyone is an expert at figuring out what’s going on simply by looking at hand positions. Especially considering ALL of the tabs for this on the internet are wrong.
+Tiny J I completely agree. They could have at least mentioned what key they're playing in. It's not really even a tutorial, it's just them playing various parts of the song.
What notes is Lance playing (top guitar) on the THIRD chord of the BRIDGE? It looks like open E, 4th fret A, and sixth fret D but that sounds terrible. Is he just hitting the E and muting the rest?
I'm pretty sure i'm right but by any chance did James either start playing for or just help Matt Redman at passion, i thought i saw him while at the Houston Passion.
+Caleb Gibson Two note chords, with video showing you his hand placement starting at the 7th fret. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to figure out the correct notes, if that. It's so basic, perhaps they thought tabs would be pointless. Epic fail would be an inability to figure it out on your own.

Intro tutorial 0:25
Verse 1 tutorial 0:35
Chorus 0:55
Dry single note picky thing 1:25
Bridge 2:08
I love the inversions Lance is using on the chorus and bridge. I have never played them that way! I'll give it a whirl!

Fret (String):
7(2) 4(2) 4(2) 6(3) 4(3) 6(3) 4(2),
4(2) 4(2) 7(2) 4(2) 4(2) 7(2) 4(2) 4(3) 6(3)
All palm muted
Thank you so much! Been trying to learn this song for my band! ;P
@stanleycjohn Thanks man. I got something slightly different.
7(2) 4(2) 4(2) 6(3) 4(3) 6(3) 4(2),
4(2) 7(2) 4(2) 7(2) 4(2) 6(3) 4(3)
stanleycjohn how do I read this ?
Thank you elevation worship 👍
Lance's overdrive tone is just perfect!.. how?! ¬.¬
Da Duke doght not speaketh...
he speaketh with his axe
Thank you guys. Great tutorial, getting right to the parts quickly.

Check out elevation worship's gear vid. It's a black falcon.
Thank you guys!
thank you! elevation worship.
Thanks guys, very helpful!!!
getting the top part for verse two is nearly impossible without some sort of tab, will try to experiment it out but man its gonna be tough
Verse 2 Tab Guitar 1(It's not the same exact way he plays it, but it's the same notes. I found it easier)
B: 7-----------------------------------------7------------7---------------------------------
G: ------8----8--6--------6--8-----8----------8-------------8-----6-------------------
D: --------------------9--------------------------------------------------------9------------
Play clean muted and add some delay.
Sorry for the ugly tab, just listen to the song for the rhythm.
actually scratch the delay part, just listen to how he plays it
Hi! This video is great! However, a chord chart would be a huge help as well! :) God bless.
Here, my dear friend: elevationworship.s3.amazonaws.com/WUTWassets/UnstoppableGod/UnstoppableGod-Chords.pdf
+David Franco Thanks for the link. Lance is only playing thirds (root note and 3rd note of each chord on the Intro and Verse 1). I learned this from Worship Artistry.
+Tony McAlister Thanks! I couldn't figure it out and it's so simple. Classic overthinking!
What are the actual chords?????????,?
Is there a "break down" version of this?
What is the model of that Gretsch? I absolutely love it!
Tutorial for "Great Things (Worth It All)" soon?
One of the best songs. Great guitars, inspiring lyrics, and very singable melody. Thanks for breaking it down for us.
thats not a tutorial it just shows them playing the song up close
Colden Thompson that should be tonight to figure it out
Hat else do you need? This is pretty simple music.
LANo Tabs would be good
Connor Payne \the Frozen Doctor/ tabs won’t get you anywhere my friend. Learn to play by ear and new doors will open 🙌🏽
Can u put the tabs in the video???
Does anyone know what are the power chords they play for this song?
Could someone put down the tabs of the chorus (top black guitar). Help me out! thanks...
could you make a tab chart for the chorus hook that James is playing?
Everything you need to know? Ummm ...what are the chords??
I know this is old but I'll take a chance anyway. Can anyone clear up what he is playing in the Bridge? Is it octaves? Power chords and inversions? I just cant make out his fingering on the board.

I believe it's a Gretsch Black Falcon :)
I love duke's sound.
Ryan Sumawan you mean Jonny Buckland’s and The Edge’s ?
Wished you talked about your pedals too and how you get your sound
ugh that bridge is beautiful. The frequency split is amazing
Good job guys! Love what God is doing over there!
How do you guys think up these parts? Humbling...
I hope he didnt pay good money for that haircut
How about a tab please.
Lance, are you a big fan of Johnny Marr? If you don't know who that is, definitely check his guitar work out The Smiths and with Modest Mouse.
I'm a downie, someone please share with me the chords that theyre playing so that i know what it is lmao
Love that bridge! I have a lot of tutorials for Jars of Clay songs if you guys want to have a look.
Can I get the chord voicing for the bridge at the end?
I cant see what hes playing for the chorus. Anybody know the inversions or have tabs for eg2? (Lance)
I think a tab to each part would be helpful as well.
Mine does! So please check it out!!
With basic photoshop you could have put the music on the screen at the same time. #justsayin'
+Tiny J I completely agree. They could have at least mentioned what key they're playing in. It's not really even a tutorial, it's just them playing various parts of the song.
+Tiny J Photoshop is for photos, not video. #justsayin'
Photoshop CS6 has the capability to edit video. #justsayin'
Did I never type my reply out? Okay (clears throat):
I guess since I named the wrong program, the idea of tabs is unreasonable.
I love the song unstoppable god and The new song rattle
What notes is Lance playing (top guitar) on the THIRD chord of the BRIDGE? It looks like open E, 4th fret A, and sixth fret D but that sounds terrible. Is he just hitting the E and muting the rest?
no it's not fourth fret A, he's muting A with that finger, it's:
Open E
Muted A
6th fret D
4th fret G
Muted B
Muted E
tabs please.
some tutorial...
Hey lance, what drive you use at this song? Sounds so good 🔥
What kind of inversions are the chorus chords? Also, is this the key of B?
+Chris G yes it is key of B
I'm pretty sure i'm right but by any chance did James either start playing for or just help Matt Redman at passion, i thought i saw him while at the Houston Passion.
tckmn11 Yep! He's been playing with Matt recently
Oh ok thanks for the reply, i was just curious.
the bridge part together is beautiul
Pedals and amps?
Why do people not INCLUDE the tabs??? Epic fail :(
+Caleb Gibson epic fail if you need them :D *scnr
+malagoke then why make a tutorial if you don't need the the tabs lol I mean I'm not mad, just using basic common sense.
Caleb Gibson yeah like a how to make a "xyz item" that is just a video of someone making xyz item
Can't work out the intro
+Adz Milz 2 string arpeggios.
what does that mean ?@@tinyj4520
Like so many tutorials they fail to tell us what key they are playing in.
Sojourn .sixtysix B
um, what are the actual notes for this song
