this was my first show, drove with my brother all the way from oregon. next day my brother talked to Jerry on the phone and got us comp tickets for the show on the 24th. Pretty awesome outcome for randomly calling hotells and asking to talk to Jerry Garcia. :).. fricking awesome thank you for posting.
hero
awesome
Great night ! Me and my buddy jimmy rockin shakedown street tuxes! What a blast !
WOW.. This was my first Dead Show. so glad to have found this.
mine too
Same here
Me too!
The Spectrum had such a cool 80s logo. Saw many a Sixers game here with my pops. Special place.
Ahhhh! The Spectrum! My old stomping grounds. "The Dead" played their final show there just a few months before it's demolition in the early 2000's. Their encore was "Samson And Delilah" "I would tear this old building down! Thanks. Always enjoy listening. Miss you Jerry!
That's awesome just moved to Philly and was wondoring what happened to the spectrum, you know of any local deadhead bars or bands?
@@richerlennon9429 Splintered Sunlight Plays the greater Philadelphia area often.
Awesome I'll have to look out for em, I'm in north-east Philly so they'd prolly be easy to go see
Splintered is the best. Jerry Ito!!!!!
@@scottcrowley77 They are no JRAD or DSO but a fun evening nonetheless. No one will ever compare to JERRY! He was a gift for all of us to share. If that doesn't make you believe in God nothing will!
This show has such a terrific setlist 🎉
Jerry started to not remember the lyrics.
Love him so much -
Philly had a bass voice like his guitar ! ❤️🐰🐇🌹☠️💀👽🪐🛸👻🌹☮️ thanks again Mr. Tobin !
Thank you Kevin. Please keep em commin.
thank you Dr. Tobin. Just in time. Just in time indeed. you are a saint sir.
Thanks Kevin!
Outrageous Deal. Starting off hot. Spring 86 was phenomenal
Hi Kevin, long time so see.... thanks for the upload brother
Thanks Kevin, bringing back a great memory with my late williamo and crazy drops this night.
You are lucky to remember. I remember having extreme fun there
Boogie time
I love Brokedown House Productions!!!! Thanks KT as always! I had a tape of this for many years but not a killer master board! 😇
Some graphics or not. Philly was always special. I got lucky to see 100 or so shows between 82 and 92. Philly always rocked.thanks Tobin for sharing. Is this the Tobin from E.Lansing? A million to one. Regardless thanks for the shows again. Head for life. A way of life. See ya later Brent and jerry. We'll rock those gates. Lobe all you heads keep truck in.
I must say I have never heard them do Willie and the Hand Jive other than this. My first Philly show! The show was delayed because the Spectrum held a pay per view of Wrestlemania II that started in the afternoon, so they had to clear out the arena before they could let any deadheads in for the show! I partied with a dude that said that after Wrestlemania got over, he straddled the toilet with the stall locked down so he could get into the show. He said security came around and he just stood up on the john and didn't make a sound. I thought it was genius.
yes remember with vivid imagery the crowd mix outside...complete shitshow...the wrestling fans thought the 60s exploded in the parking lot...this is an epic epic run
Great show remember it well
Love all you heads. Keep on truckin
I always loved Day Job just for the "God bless the child that's got his own stash, a nine to five and a place to crash!" lyric.
I love day job!!!! It's Jerry's ode to cutting a rug...lol
SWEET! I was there! Wasn't this the day that the showtime was a little late because they were simulcasing WrestleMania II that afternoon?
Yes IWT ,saw every Spectrum show from85-89.
@@stevestegman998 Hey Brother ✌️ , I only missed 2 in that time 🤪😋😇. ✌️💖🎶🍀🌈😋

Bob's guitar sounds fantastic in Shakedown. Love it
I remember this show fondly. My 15 year old brain was 🤯!
The only things I remember semi clearly after Cassidy is Shakedown, Drums, the Other One and Good Lovin.. was a heck of a night.
My 2nd Dead show.
Fun - diggin' it
The first two shows are really special to me
Wall in front of Phil first night wall in front of Jerry second night
Great suff
My love dried up + my cup is empty because my love is gone with Jerry !
Hand Jive so fun-ky.
❤️🕯
DG rocked bur can you help people more than they did?
It’s good to hear Philly sing finally because he couldn’t because of a blown septum but he still did my coke through his mouth ! But he got it fixed when he got the new liver transplant !
Sure man no worries
Wow. I supposed the will end with Promised Land.
willie and the hand jive is so smokin hot. wish they did it more
This & centrum 87 are the only east coast I’m aware of
Yup
F them graphics
Don't know why the person who did this had to do all the special effects. Just show the band. It was really annoying. Stronglyly takes away from enjoying the music.
@@raygunner2437 ZAP!🤡
Brent ...close your eyes and create your own special effects...open wide your DMT receptors...wield to the storm and fly!
I agree no need for the special effect the band gets you places your brain never imagined
You can just listen to sbd
Graphics suck , ha
Horrible
2nd show for me and second Comes a Time. I took that as a good omen. 😂🎉
Any books that r out there me + my niece will not b mentioned because we told them not to ! 🐒🐵🙈🙉🙊🐰🐇🌹🥀🦐🦞🦀
