Thanks for the videos. A side effect of advertising the planes for sale is, we get to see the performance and characteristics of many airplanes. Typically most of us out here don't get the opportunity to fly so many types. I have learned a lot from your work. So thanks again. Please keep making content for us.
Thank you!
310 is one of the most beautiful planes ever built.
Best channel on UA-cam. Really enjoy your videos. I know it’s a lot of work to shoot and edit them. Thank you.
Thank you!
Got a chance to fly a 310R a few years back, it flew like it was on rails and one of the best looking GA planes in my opinion!
Another great video Rich, enjoyed!
Thank you!
Gorgeous 310!
Thanks for the ride.
Great colour scheme and avionics, thanks for the flight Rich
Thank you!
My dad used to fly one of these around along with a 421 so I’ve kinda fell in love with Cessna twins.
Easy to do!
Did my multi in a 310R, love those 285 hp motors 😁 - with 160 gallons of gas you can go a looooong way if you want. Was a great airplane to land, rock solid.
Rich this is my favorite Multi engine aircraft that I truly would love to own for my family members and cross country flights and it’s worth every dollar
Thank you!! A gear up landing would have been a nightmare for me and my pocketbook being my insurance would go through the roof very nice plane fly safe
Thanks for watching!
Nice Plane Rich, I remember 1978...I was 24 and after the brass ring! I heard the market is "super-hot" even with fuel high....good!
Super hot still - even with high gas prices!
I used to fly 41A. Good solid 310.. never let me down.
Thanks Rich
Thank you!
Wish I had the money, I love the 310 and with upgraded avionics this is my dream plane.
That air looked so smooth it was almost unreal!
Very smooth!
these camera shots .. wooo . very nice . kudos to the camera man . .. what a nice plane
btw i was born in Torrance . used to swim at long beach growin up . fun times . grand parents used to live there . relatives in Newport beach huntington .. now reside in S. Florida just north of miami . love florida
VERY nice airplane! Working to be able to afford one. My dream plane.
Thanks for watching!
Sometime repaired planes/cars are BETTER than new as the tolerances are a little more closely followed during repairs and they try for middle road tolerances vs during manufacture you can have tolerances on each end of the spectrum!
Another excellent piece. Any radio panel?
Hey Rich, the STEC55X is rate based versus the Garmin is attitude based so it’s not as precise. You can set heading and approach on the STEC. You have to hold the heading button and press approach and then it should fly a set heading until capturing the localizer on VTF. The Cirrus SR22-G2 has similar setup. Great video!
Thanks for the tip! Seems like I’ve operated the 55X before like that and it and it held the previous heading until LOC capture. This one wanted to turn away from heading and intercept. Probably user error!
@@FlyingwithRich it probably depends on how it’s setup or could be an issue with it. I usually just fly heading mode until close to the localizer and then hit APCH mode. The Garmin and Avidyne are better than the 55X AP but I know STEC has rate based models now too that are great. I think 310 Pilot has one of the newer STEC’s. That would be a good upgrade for the 310 you demoed.
Appreciate your videos. How many type ratings do you hold?
500 hours in the 310 great airplane miss flying it.
Probably gone.. Bet you wish you had a dozen of these awesome twins. Flight Safe Rich.
Boa tarde Donizete Braganca pt SP Brazil 🇧🇷
I think with that autopilot of you hold the heading button while pressing approach button it will keep the current heading for intercept. If I remember correctly anyway
Could be - thanks for the tip!
Great looking plane! With the avionics this would be a great platform for a family who doesn't need turbocharged engines for high alt. flying. But if the budget is a bit more (about 150k) I would got for a Seneca V, roomier club seat cabin, slightly lower operating costs, turbo charged engines for those mountain getaways, no critical engines as they're counter rotating, and newer airframe overall.
Good points - thanks for watching!
👍👍👍👍👍
I have a 310-B and a 310-Q in my FXS collection.
Nice!
Now, I like that plane. For the last several yrs. I've been lookin for just the right one. 185 on 20ph is what I'm talkin bout. Very nice plane. And, your camera man ain't as pretty as the one on the last video.
The price discussion here is so useless. The plane is worth the money in the actual market and the avionics have there value too. If this is to expensive to you: ok. But don’t blame the plane for it. I think, if people spend 1 Million for a Cirrus and they sell quite a lot, this nice beautiful 310 is a bargain even with two engines and built in 1978 and not in 2022. Nice video like always, very good useful content, keep up this great stuff and I will enjoy. Save flying. And I want to say, that it’s a huge amount of experience to sit in so many different planes and fly them professional. And have the guts to do this with foreign planes. Thanks for this great content.
Thank you!
Wondering if that’s the ol’ Parks College airplane….. The only thing that bites about an R model 310 is that you probably can’t get them into a standard size T Hangar like you can a Q model or even 58 Baron.
I believe it was a Parks college airplane!
@@FlyingwithRich It was. I got my multi in that same plane in 1980
So cool!
9,000 hrs.? Wow ... Glass panels are nice though
Where is this airplane listed?
In reference to your inventory sales page, what does "under contract" denote?
Sale is pending.
I notice you always lean your T310 variants following startup and go full rich on TO. I never did that with my T310R. Do you see problems with idle mixture in your airplanes?
I got that technique from long time twin Cessna pilot who worked for Cessna. The instructions were really to listen/feel the engine for smoothness and adjust mixture from there. I guess I’m in that habit for about all the engines.
Price?
$295K/offer
My ex-wife and I (both pilots) were looking at a C310 at VNY back in 1982; both low time engines -- they were asking $25,000; worse decision not to buy something I ever made...
Easy to say with the benefit of hindsight! Thanks for watching!
Even for ‘82 that was a steal!
@@billmoran3812 Don't I know. I was atc at BUR and she was a bank exec and p/t flight instructor so all we had to do was say okay! She would have taken it in the divorce anyway...
All that money to go with an s-tec autopilot… why is the question
Gfc 600 would’ve been perfect for that garmin setup.
Availability at the time.
120k?
For avionics - yes.
@@FlyingwithRich oh nice than i only need the pilot license 🥲
@@_strg_626 "only"
Lol, if I could pick that up for 120k I’d sell my house and move into a single wide trailer. 😎
That's a lot of Glass. Probly 200k depend on motors.
Be cool if the instrument panel was original. Can't understand a word that woman said on the radio. I must be getting old. Great flight but terrible music.
You are welcome.
Analogs best , F##k the rest. 😆🤘
9,000 hrs.? Glass panels are the only thing of value..... best part this plane out to generate some cash flow
Interesting perspective but highly unlikely it will ever happen!
Crappy Cessna gear design.
Thanks for watching!
