I do like to see old school shit meet new age. Back in the 90’s, 1000 watts was pretty damn big for regular people. But Db drags and so forth weren’t a huge deal here in the 4 states. Our local big name system store pretty much just put JL 12’s or 15’s, paired with a RF amp in everything if u had the cash. $2k got u 2 JL 15’s w/ whatever RF amp in a simple box in ur trunk. But they hit hard. Life in the mid 90’s was pretty simple here in small town Midwest. It’s so fuckin crazy to see how far the science of audio has come. When 4th orders and so forth made it to our area, they were called isobaric bandpass and were about the size of what ONE decent 10” ported nowadays would need (at the minimum). But the motors on the subs were tiny by comparison. Like I said, 2k watts was HUGE back then. At least for non-comp situations. Hell, I was a lowrider mini truck guy and ended up trading my slammed Mitsubishi for a slightly lowered Nissan with a snugtop. Had a carpeted and finished bed with 4 12’s right up against the cab (but still in the bed). 2 MTX and 2 Lanzar. Don’t remember the wattage of the amp, but it was minimal. All I can remember is that it was a Lanzar OptiDrive. The cubes for the box were huge. The ports were box shaped with no round overs, no polyfil or anything. But that motherfucker HIT! Would’ve been so much better if there was a wall behind the box and throwing everything into the cab, but I hit a 132 like that. I believe I could’ve gained at least 10 with tweaks, but I was 17 and the info and science wasn’t there yet. I was just a dumb kid. I hate to look back.

I believe that audiobahn amp is 400 watts rms at 4 ohm and 800 watts rms at 2 ohm so if he has the right ohm sub he can get a good amount of power to that sub he definitely has enough power for it

Sounds like that sub is begging for some more power. It's going down low very well
