As a car guy, I've been known to justify some absurd costs. But I'm not sure I can get behind this kind of money. I love the service for what it is and I think Topaz are second to none, but that number doesn't make sense and I think that this is another example of how the rich don't know when they're being scammed.
The rich have too much money so they dont mind probabaly paying double of this until the job is done. A stage 2 correction for me and I'm happy lol which would cost a fraction of this by someone credible or has footage showing good work. Just shop around
i really enjoy detailing videos, but i think going 4k video can help showcase just how much work goes into detailing and especially on a car like this and its extravagant process of restoration deserves more than 1080p.
@Stev Rex it's called over-exgaration to show appreciation for the wonderfull job they do. Which they saw and replied thankfully for it. Only an idiot would reply with such a hatefull comment. Guess this points that haters stay hating. Go handwash your Daewoo Matiz.
Gustavo de Caires Anhaia A repainted car will never be worth the same as a original example now and certainly not in the future. A true collector or dealer will slate the car 100%.
I didn't understand it too.. Didn't made any sense to repaint a car for some rockchips. There is 100% chance that the color from the rest of the car is a little bit off, or if it is painted completely, people can tell that it has been repainted and will wonder if it has been crashed...
I doubt they bother to tell us that it sat for days while they waited for that. It's all about quality and quality takes time and everyone knows that. Cheers!
How long did you let the paint settle before PPF was installed? As far as i know it takes week for the paint to dry completly before you can do any wrap on it.
Just seeing the end process really...would have been good to see some of the prep aswell. Also thought you needed to leave a few months before applying PPF on fresh paint ??
Wow! I am a lost for words. Fantastic job done on that beautiful 918 Spyder Hypercar. So here is my question. Is there a waiting period before applying PPF on a freshly painted car? I ask this because my 2016 E400 Mercedes, just had the front bumper recondition freshly painted in preparation for PPF. The PPF being applied is a 10 year self healing high end PPF. Thanks
I'm sure there was a good reason, but can you explain why you didn't apply the PPF when the panels were off the car? It seems that would be a bit easier.
Simply amazing id love to be able to complete all the workings in this it would be so amazing being able to work for yourselves and being able to complete work on such an amazing car
I noticed that after you guys apply ppf on top of the car theres still some sort of "orang peel" on the paint job. Is it because of the ppf or its just a reflection issue ? :o
You did an awesome job and the attention to detail is just incredible! Anyway, a car which is used properly needs also some scars. If the car needs to stay perfect forever than its just a garage queen.
Really amazing job and I know how difficult is, not only technically speaking, also psychology because working on unique car (also quite expensive). Just to point a little detail, the side logos "e-hybrid" is missing.
I'm curious to know how the PPF will react to the not fully cured paint. Most of the best painters in the business seem to agree that paint won't fully gas out for as long as 3 months after being sprayed in some cases. Is there any risk that the PPF will bond to the paint on this 918 in a way that will cause damage in the future if it is ever removed? Obviously, you guys do things to the Nth degree, so I'm not questioning your quality of work. Just curious to know if you've found a way to cheat the system when it comes to curing fresh paint in a quicker fashion.
One of my favorite car and color, great job! Obviously worth to fully protect the paint but don't all films eventually get yellowed and will need to be re-pilled and re-applied? It’s best to check how the light reflects on the panels when they sit on the car to make sure they’re all perfect first
