If you want access to a mailbox while cooking, the brazier outside the inn also works as a cooking fire. The brazier seen at the beginning of this video next to the mailbox.

Thank you SO much. The move and resize addons are a definate QOL. I can actually see stuff now. I also learned something new about Auctionator. Although I have been using it for years, I didn't know about the crafting cost and search the AH from prof function.

Aww man someone finally made a video on this haha! Been enjoying the profits of cooking since day one of the season! Super great profession for making some easy money, but the profit margins are definitely lower now than they were earlier in the week. Great guide though!

@@Penguinr2gt Same! I've been enjoying it a lot and it has been great to do when I have downtime from taking a break from dungeons and raiding or anything else.
I've always enjoyed my crafting in WoW, so seeing I could make lots of gold with cooking in DF sounded great. I went to buy the Blubbery Muffin recipe, had to send an alt to the AH to get the mats as fishing for mackerel took way too long. I finally bought the recipe to see the muffins are selling for less than 4G each on Alexstraza, so I'd be losing money to make these. Already lost money just buying the recipe. I will have to discover a better one. I did get the Demodal addon which is nice, so I learned something useful today from this video.
There are a few battle pets that work as cooking fires too. They never run out!
This video is 10/10 just for the DeModal/Blizz move recommendations, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Great vid!

I still remember the first week of the expansion when nobody understood where to get the muffin recipe and I was selling individual muffins for 180 gold a piece for like 2 days, and on top of that the grand banquets were selling for like 2,300 gold each, so many people overlook the power of cooking it's incredible.

Idk if anyone has mentioned yet but you can by default have the crafting and auction window open together. I do it all the time with no addon. It will default to your bags but you simply close your bags and open your crafting window while leaving the AH window open. (Resizing is not included that I am aware of.)
That depends on your aspect ratio. Most of them will still need to either scale the windows down, which makes it harder to read, or get addons.
I'm glad I didn't sleep on Cooking and Fishing, both are proving to be quite profitable with not a lot of effort involved.
The Tuskar next to the one that sells the recipe for the muffins sells a Toy that can be used as cooking fire: Tuskarr Traveling Soup Pot

I do skinn and mine on hunter and sell the mats, basically a supplier. But I started trying to get more into cooking. I THOUGHT I was gonna make bank selling raid feasts but your saying it's better to sell the Ingredients for those feasts basically
Hi Penguin, so I tried to use Auctionator but at the cooking window I don't have any search button whatsoever and it shows me 0 bronze at every craft. Is it normal? How can I fix that? Thanks! Great video.
You likely need to run a full scan on the AH to let Auctionator update its prices. In terms of the search button, you need to have the AH open at the same time as your profession window with them both being visible on screen
Also you can buy Lil' Ragnaros from the store, and use it as a campfire
100%, Pierre is also a great one if you dont have lil'rag from the shop
Can you tell us about the Cooking Accessories and the Cooking tools? Are those helpful ?
They increase your skill and crafting stats, definitely worth buying and crafting if you can. You can buy the basic green versions off the AH and you can order the blue BoP versions from the work order system
How do you restock using TSM and if so do you have the group that you can share?
TSM is not compatible with DF items atm
How do you get the search bar next to how much profit you will make, so it scans auction house? On auctionator
You need to have the Auction House open at the same time when viewing. If you don’t see it, I would try without any other addons enabled to see if you have a conflicting issue. Make sure enabled crafting cost is on as well

Yep! Any item that stacks is sold on the Region-Wide AH
@Penguinr2gt thanks. I was wondering why all the prices for goods fell to the floor so quick; usually I make all my gold gathering at the start of expansions. Didn't help that dragonflying is fun and was available from the outset, either lol.

Only thing you can do is make sure your tool has multicraft and you can use finishing reagents if it’s still profitable

Is it me only or once i hit 100 cooking i started to rarely get procs higher than 2 of the salt and spices ? Also stat procs.

Really depends on how much you craft and current profit margins. Cooking is still making me at least 100k a day as long as I keep up with stock

I would make sure you don't have an conflicting addons, also make sure you have the AH window open

Its called Quartz! Its technically a cast bar addon but since it shows the cast time, its very helpful for crafting haha!

@@jessikat6692 I would recommend trying it with no other addons enabled, if it works then you know you have a conflicting addon. If it still doesn't work, you should be able to go into your addon settings and see if theres any settings you need to adjust

Sadly some servers are completely idiots in term of undercut, like the ones that undercut 85k on Grumpus mount, or 15g on the salad
The stackable items are region-wide so you are actually competing with the entirety of your region, but yes, some players will come in and undercut. All you have to do is wait and the markets generally recover. Prices for all these items have been fluctuating since the start of the expansion!
tbh, made more gold with cooking than with any other profession in DF

cooking items are stackable so they are sold regionally - so not server dependent but region dependent!
I appreciate your effort, but with almost any goldmaking guide these days I feel like once they are released, the method is already pretty outdated. Like I could earn a lot with cooking at the beginning, but now pretty much every recipe has dropped significantly and even big feasts are barely worth crafting anymore. :(
Which happens with pretty much every commodity item it seems...
Of course everything falls in price compared to the start of the expansion - theres more materials to go around, those materials fall in price, more people in the market, but that doesn't mean the method no longer works. I am still actively selling food and making a ton from it. If something falls undervalue, just hold it and it will recover
Perhaps. But the profit margin is low compared to the effort. Many of us have limited time to play the game and want to raid, play m+ etc. If you want to make gold with cooking it takes a lot of time, even tho you can afk through most of it. I am still sitting on 2000 grand banquets and hundreds of other foods and it is a total pain in the a** to handle in my opinion. ;)
Use Auctionator settings to make selling easier. Set it to undercut by 0.1% and default to 12hr listings. Now use the "selling" tab. If what you are selling has been badly undercut by smaller stacks you can click on the big stack and undercut that by 0.1%
You don’t need to undercut anymore! But yes! you can use selling with Auctionator if you’d like! I just don’t enjoy it and prefer default
seriously, what pengquin said. no need to undercut. amazing how ppl don't understand this yet. when you put your goods up for the same amount as lowest you goods will sell first. (edit: just irked by selling azure/chrono cloth on my alt lol)
Why undercut? It only drives prices down & there is zero benefit
@@Saetun. After plenty of testing I get far better instant sales from a tiny undercut. It only drives down prices if you are over supplying the demand and posting large stacks undercut. Small stacks, small undercut, fast sales.

In my opinion, TSM should be banned. The auction house has turned into day trading thanks to TSM, people flipping hundreds or thousands of items.
Its not really TSM's fault. TSM is very broken right now and while it can still be technically used, loads of people aren't and the auction is still super competitive. Of course TSM may make the crafting and posting process easier, but people like myself are just as competitive without it

It is still lame that some receipes are behind rep walls and I checkedout Blubberry on Ah and it sells cheaper than the Basilsik eggs. Eggs are 24gold and the muffin sell for 17gold so you are going to lose money on the AH selling just muffins right now. So once again I am behind the posting of your vid a few days to late. Once ppl see the vid on any money make deals? The price drops soon.
Prices fluctuate all the time, muffins have gone in and out of profit, and when muffins are out of profit, others are in! When people see videos of course they try out the methods, but that doesn’t mean the markets are doomed. I’ve made a ton of gold from Yusa’s Stews, cookies, fish meals just today
