What I don’t understand is, on one hand we are told the stock market will crash and yet on the other we are told ways of investing in the stock market. Oxymoron or paradox? I'm considering investing over 150k, but I'm uncertain about risk mitigation strategies.

Markets have incorrectly priced in such a pivot six times over the last two years. This is why pointers from market experts are essential.

The market is not necessarily a rollercoaster if you know your way around the market, there are various opportunities in the present market to accrue good profit, If you are not too savvy with the market, just buy and hold on strong companies with good earnings, or consult with advisors on ETFs and actively managed funds.

There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Melissa Elise Robinson’’ for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.

Thank you for keeping it real with us. We're all getting hit over the head with these prices, the good thing is being in a position to pay these prices. I feel really bad for those who are not in the position to pay for their basic needs.

Also, get a trust, appropriate life and disability insurance. Focus on teaching your kids on hard work and responsibility. Keep good boundaries with people. Don’t tell everyone your business. A good gut check is if you are not giving and if you are incurring debt. Save for kids weddings and college if you can. Pay off home.

I have friends who make $130-180k a year that honestly live paycheck to paycheck because of their high consumption of life expenses and student loans. So your comment shows your ignorance in reality. Debt is a real problem, particularly student loan debt and credit cards, and car loans. Ppl who make high incomes typically have high student loans, and the reason for their debt problem. But imagine a nurse practitioner or lawyer who makes 140k a year and having to pay a $1700 a month student loan payment, 1300 car payment with insurance and gas for the month, then $1000 a month credit card payment. Thats 4k a month in expenses not including any household bills. Im telling u this story because this is the case and actual dollar amount for one of my friends. But this is how most high paying individuals are living. Im a truck driver at walmart. No degree, no debt, 127k income, live in a 800k home, and 37 as a networth millionaire. I literally live in the neighborhood of these type of individuals. So dont act as this isnt the norm and rachel videos is far fetched.

Here's some interesting numbers... on average...using the 4% rule. if you invest 25% of your income. You should be able to retire in around 25-30 years. 50% in about 20 years. 75% in about 15 years. The standard 15%. Should take about 30 years. The interesting take away I'd that while certainly you want to put in as much as you can. And adding $20 a month or whatever small amount isn't something to ignore. It's really large percentage changes in your investment strategy that adds value. So of you have a bad year and you contribute 20% instead of 25%. It's probably not hurting you as much as you think.
Now this just assumes equivalent money. So... you make 100k. You retire and take 100k out. If you need less. This will go faster. If you need more.. this will go shower. Basically think about how much you want to spend in retirement. Like say you want to spend 50k. Well if you want to retire in 20. You need to save around 50% of that 50k or 25k per year.
You can use this to approximate when you can retire or how much to save to retire in x years. Note that... it obviously doesn't account for market fluctuations. If year 19 of 20 is a really bad year... you might need years 21 & 22 to recover or more. Again.. it's approximate.
