A soldier belongs to an army, they can muster, they report to a chain of command. A warrior is an independent mercenary, they may go on quests and adventures to make money, they dont report to anyone. A knight is a noble soldier that has a certain level of political power and responsibility, they are usually wealthy with a faction of soldiers under his command, also they are mounted

There were 26 *cards* with changeling in Lorwyn block, before the new ones from Modern Horizons, but five of those were cards with the Tribal super type that weren't actually creatures. Also, you forgot Mistform Ultimus, a creature that had the Changeling ability before it was keyworded and wouldn't show up in a search.

I always thought it was weird that mammals tend to get more specific creature types (Sable, Ferret, etc.). I mean, there are two cards with "Anemone" in their name, and you know what their creature type is? Jellyfish.
Next time you do something like this it'd be really cool to see little pie graphs showing a quick and easy to digest visual representation of the distribution of colors within each type.
Mongooses are feliforms (like hyenas and cats) whereas ferrets and sables are caniforms (like wolves, bears, seals, bears, raccoons, and otters). So while it might not matter enough in the popular consciousness, mongooses and ferrets aren't all that closely related.

But all these animals had gone extinct on the british isles so when colonists came to the americas they simply referred to the small hoofed animals in the woods as deer and the larger hoofed animals as elk. In reality, american elk are caribou or reindeer, and american deer are a smaller class of animal that never existed in britain. But the colonists saw even larger hoofed mammals and assumed those were a new species never seen in europe and used the native american word for them: "moose." In summary: American elk are European reindeer/caribou, American moose are European Elk, American deer are their own thing, and the caribou type has NO reason to exist.

Well. I guess it makes sense that each featured card on the top 10 most frequent creature types in MTG shared a type with another one of the cards that made this list. I mean, there were 4 humans on the list, two even being human soldiers! I get that there are cards that have only the one creature type, but point made lol. Also, I didn't realize Cleric would make this list. I honestly was super surprised to NOT see something like Vampires or Demons, which I thought was far more popular and supported than Cleric. Guess I was wrong. Time for a Cleric tribal deck!!!

The reason why humans are considered the characteristic "white" creature is because most soldiers are humans, and before the grand update, soldiers were the white characteristic type.
Basically, I'm interested in creatures that have a common identity, and that doesn't work with one-offs. For example Surrakar, Coward, Wraith or Masticore.
What about Mishra's Self-Replicator? I'm somewhat new to MTG but I think it's the only Assembly Worker, despite looking like a robot which should make it a construct, or at least a golem... would've been fun in my golem tribal deck but they'd just be stuck as 2 /2's...

i think that the diference between soldiers amd warrior is soldiers comes from a milatary background and warriors not necessarily, a warrior can learn to fight from experiencie but soldier has training

Actually, technically they all have at least 27 because there are 26 creatures with the ability Changeling, giving them all also that creature type.

I think you forgot two types! Sengir Autocrat makes 'Serf' tokens and Summoning Station makes a 'Pincher' token
