- CLAUDE DEBUSSY: "Cloches à travers les feuilles" from Images 2nd book - Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, piano - Recording: Turin (Italy) - RAI Studios, August 13, 1962
Astonishing playing. A true master of the music of Debussy - along with Gieseking.
Perfect...
Excellent rendition, I love it.
Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful
Genius
Its beautiful and poetic..
and the poetry and musical images work better ,for me at least, at a slower tempo.
I'm performing this piece in a week and a half...
howd it go?
Ig we’ll never know
is it me or did the old pianos generally sound better than today's?

nostalgia has its ways
3:17 getting hyouka vibes from this part
michelangeli. and nothing else.
The music of Debussy defies analysis. You can try to break it into pieces; a whole tone scale, an arpeggiated figure, yet it is no use. It is a living, breathing organism. If you dissect it, it ceases to be. Michelangeli does not dissect, he nurtures.
Well put. Debussy is a genius.
I believe this piece is suppose to imitate falling leaves over a bell tower
Option musique avec Lamarca ?
Неживая музыка, сравните с исполнением Рихтера и поймёте о чём я!
Feels way too rushed :S
naaah!!!! just right
