Coca-Cola fun facts: In 1915, there was a bottle design competition for a bottle that would distinguish Coca-Cola from its competitors. The winner was The Root Glass Company based in Terre Haute, Indiana. The bottle’s bulbous design was modelled on a cocoa bean, an ingredient incorrectly believed to be in Coca-Cola. And yet the iconic glass bottle design stuck for many years. During the Second World War, one of the Coca-Cola leaders Robert Woodruff declared servicemen and women should be able to get a bottle of Coca-Cola for 5 cents wherever they were in the world, no matter what it cost the company. Whenever you unlock an advance for a bros. move (you'll see an icon near it), there is now an alternative input you can use for that move. These tend to be a bit stronger than the normal skills at the cost of tougher execution, so you may want to try the slow-mo version once to find the new inputs. Keep in mind when the '!' input is, that's what you need in order to transition to the advance move!
Lesson 2: Advanced When you perform a bros move correctly numerous amount of times, you’re given access to Advance bros attacks all retaining different usability. Example, when you do Splash bros it usually goes A B A In the advance version you do A A B A Some bros attacks have extensions like swing or cyclone bros but I’ll explain that when you get them later
Do keep in mind that some may be difficult to execute especially since timing is crucial but with practice some are actually worth it. From where you are, you’ll be able to gain access to two advanced bros attacks that go on infinitely. So it’s important you upgrade attack to produce better bros attack damage.

Imo, I don't think Stache is the worst stat. You can make one of the bros be a constant crit machine, and items do become cheaper, which is honestly not that... uh... great, but I believe Hp will always be the worst stat. Speed next only upgrade speed just for the final boss, basically.
The additional issue with HP is that you need to use more healing items now, since they still heal the same amount. Also there's extra gear for Luigi that allows him to move before or after Mario disregarding speed, so unless you wanna wear a different outfit you should not invest in Luigi's speed

Use Bros. Attacks during bosses. When fighting against Popple, defeat him first to get more EXP although it does result in Rookie countering. Up to you who you want to focus on really.
My tactic for the Popple fight is to actually keep going for Bowser so that he can keep healing Bowser instead of himself. Edit: I forgot to mention that there is a chance Popple might still use it on himself...but I just ignore it and keep doing the strat.
Sophist and either Game Grump (mainly Arin though) should have a Mario and Luigi RPG race because clearly both of them will have trouble with any Mario and Luigi game.
Advance happens after you use a bros attack multiple times, and it eventually just happens. It is an optional button press during an attack that will either change the attack or make it stronger. The flash for the button press on the attack doesn't appear on difficulty 3 bros attacks. I recommend using tier 1 to learn a bros attack once, and then it will show up in tier 3 later.
"Advance" is alternative modes for the Bros. Attacks. You can perform them by pressing the buttons in a different combination. You can see a hint for an Advance command if you press the button for the bro with the "!" during a Bros. Attack that you have Advance ready for (you may have to reduce the speed of the Bros. You get "Lucky" (Crit) hits more frequently the higher your Stache. In addition, having high Stache actually gives you discounts when buying stuff in shops. Final thing, now that you have the skill to bury Luigi, you can now dig out spots on the ground around the world with an (x) for items. Example at 1:02 by the window of the house.

Since you should (maybe already do) know, STACHE ups the chance of lucky hits (more damage), as well as making shop items cheaper and selling gives more coins. Advancing attacks make it so it has a different combo of button presses, as well as changing the effect they have. (Like bounce bros having different movement)
Like other comments said, advance attacks are different attacks that can have other effects. For Bounce Bros. Advance, you have to press A at the start instead of B, then just watch the flashes to know what button to press. Remember: Red: A, Green: B.

yeah, gonna be honest here. I genuinely had no idea what advance was for the first 2 runs i did of this game. But it´s an alternate version of the bros move you can trigger with a different button.
As a fan of this game, and the M&L series, this is the funniest shit to me. It's so bad it makes me laugh. Though in all honesty, also amazing. You literally make the worst choices in this game yet still manage to make progress and win battles. It's impressive.
Since you asked so politely, “Advance” Bros. Attacks are special variations on Bros. Attacks that Mario thought up by doing the original Bros. Attack enough times. They have somewhat harder inputs to do them, but neat properties like enabling you to step on spiky guys, hitting multiple guys at once, or just doing an assload of damage. But hey, you probably figured that out by now.
They made Chuckleroot red, white, and purple not to avoid a reference to the French flag but to reference the three most common wine variants: red wine, white wine and rosé wine, since the entire process of making Chuckola Cola is quite clearly based on making wine (France also being known for its wine). The German version even explicitly calls Chuckola Cola "Witzwein", translating to "Joke Wine", and making that translation the only one where the beverage is not a soft drink.
Something I forgot to bring up on a comment in the last part, but NOT putting points into stats other than Stache does NOT mean the Bros end up with below average stats over time, it just means you get an average range for the rest. The higher your level, the more you'll see stats go up compared to early on too, so you DO get rewarded for your patience; Mario still gets fairly strong and quick, and Luigi is still more robust with a higher set of Bros points to make use of his team attacks more often. As a matter of fact, the gear you can get later on more than makes up for that too, especially if you got LOTS of Mushrooms on ya for some very neat set of equipment... Expensive to build up though. However, getting to see your actual levels going into the Hooniversity, you are certainly a tad underleveled, even IF you had put it all into Power. The Hooniversity mooks have HP ranging from 20 to 40, and the rest of their stats ranging from about 40 up to 80; Just to put things in perspective on what kind of foes you're going up against by this point onwards. ALSO... Pressing L + R at the same time immediately resets your current Bros icons to their regular jump, in case you need to move about quickly, or try to escape that hilariously tenacious Shy Guy.
Chopper Bros and Advanced Knockback Bros are the strongest moves in the game. If you can get good with them and actually invest in POW, you can beat just about every boss in one move.
Imagine you're in a gym, people simply doing bench pressing, weight lifting, cycling and what not, a normal day but then on the far end of the room you just see two Italians with brightly coloured plumber overalls having their moustaches made as if they are in a Barber without bothering on doing anything else!
Sophist, if you were in charge of brewing the chuckola cola, it would come out like your sense of humor - tepid and flat. Btw, advance means that there is a new advancement to the bros move you just did, for example the bros move chopper bros starts as hitting A -> B(when Luigi is under mario) and then mash A as much as you can. The advanced allows Luigi to go under the enemy and for Mario to repeatedly hit him into the ground sending the enemy flying over and over again while your alternating between A and B.
As easy (and funny) as it would be to just dunk on you, I gotta be honest. This just brings back painful memories of how bad I used to be at this game when I first played it as a kid. Though in my case I dumped all my points into HP instead of Stache because I didn't even know I could make a choice. Now THAT was peak gameplay.

you have to do a successful bros attack on level 3 a lot with each one to get it's advanced version so prepare to do that a lot. Also, your joke to the soda had me laughing more than Bubbles' jokes.
Ok I’m just going to say this for advanced, use the level 1 version first, you’ll be able to see an ! above one of the bros, and you use a different version, after you discover it the glow will appear for both versions in the other levels, splash bros advanced goes through spikes, and advanced bounce goes after multiple targets, for the hammer moves advanced chopper involves burying Luigi for more attacks and knockback advanced allows you to attack multiple times
All things considered, I could see this game being a bit tricky at points if you play it blind. Although, most people usually won't just dump all their stat bonuses into Stache! 😋
I’ll go and say it, that ‘Advance!’ you saw means that Mario unlocked a new attack. Now, he can do Splash Bros Advance. Pretty sure the button order is A, A, B, A.

when you use a bro move enough, you get an advanced version of it. this is initiated via a different button input sequence when using the move.
sadly i havent played superstar saga enough to explain it in more detail.
you have to do a successful bros attack on level 3 a lot with each one to get it's advanced version so prepare to do that a lot. Also, your joke to the soda had me laughing more than Bubbles' jokes.
“Blaming your teammates for your own failures”
The sheer hypocrisy hurts. I just coughed up a little blood.
Ok I’m just going to say this for advanced, use the level 1 version first, you’ll be able to see an ! above one of the bros, and you use a different version, after you discover it the glow will appear for both versions in the other levels, splash bros advanced goes through spikes, and advanced bounce goes after multiple targets, for the hammer moves advanced chopper involves burying Luigi for more attacks and knockback advanced allows you to attack multiple times
no
@@Sophist fair enough good luck trying the advanced
@@Sophist I am also just going to comment this cause I didn’t see if you did this, for chopper bros, button mash the final input
You can't complain, you made it harder for yourself.😅
0:57 made me genuinely spit my water out
All things considered, I could see this game being a bit tricky at points if you play it blind. Although, most people usually won't just dump all their stat bonuses into Stache! 😋
If only we had another Mario and Luigi game for the switch.

I’ll go and say it, that ‘Advance!’ you saw means that Mario unlocked a new attack. Now, he can do Splash Bros Advance.
Pretty sure the button order is A, A, B, A.
Here is a command you should do Sophist:
1. Have Mario to be mini.
2. Luigi use Hi Jump.
3. Make Mario Jump while Luigi attempts to jump on Mario.
I think you know where I'm going with. And yes the command works.
I need the next episode of this series :(
I'm in pain and laughter from this
5:26 ok now I KNOW there’s gonna be Sophist Pizza Tower content
A new Mario and Luigi super saga video!
*The wiggler gets hit in the head with an entire oversized hammer*
*Zero damage*
Glad these things aren't real
Rockie and Popple were always my Favorite in Mario and Luigi Superstar saga and the Spear guy Flee was pretty funny and i knowed you would by Cackletta but she is pretty thought i must say but the first Mario and Luigi game will be in my Heart.
How did I miss the 2 following parts a year ago!
I just watched the first one again and youtube showed me this - I was like "Nooo....Wait a secon-Yep, Yep it is...!"
xP
After doing a bros attack successfully a bunch of times, u get the advanced version of the move where the inputs are different but you do more damage
8:17 lol that was hilarious.
for the record its best to take out popple first. not only so you cna stop him stealing stuff and healing bowser, but also more importntly you don't get EXP or items from Popple if you beat Rookie first. You HAVE to take out Popple if you want exp from him specifically.
I think the reason the fruits are those colors (red, white, and purple) is to reference wine grapes.
Im really excited for the final boss and see if it's just going to be save state society
The biggest pain is him calling Cackletta "him"
Give luigi some respect game
Advance is it is a different version of the bro's attacks
Unlocked by using them a lot
For practicing the advanced Bros attacks
Use difficulty 1 and look for an exclamation mark
Loved this game many years ago. Broke my heart when I lost it around the time I fought Cackletta. I've been emulating it since. The feeling you get when you arrive at Oho Oasis and the soundtrack kicks in...UGH! SO GOOD!
Never Change Sophist Keep leveling up Stache :D
Be carefull sophist, i'm following your adventure for more than 1 year now. And i'm FRENCH, français pour les intimes. Je revendique mon existence au sein de cette communauté en tant que baguette lord ! 👑👑👑
I love how sophist gives a heart to anyone who comments to his video. Including this one (hopefully)
Sophist please just put on mode 2 and spare us all of our misery…
Best joke of the video: "I'm a world renowned youtuber !"
8:50 I really didn't expect that
