Love your turtle. You can never change your fuel filter or your oil too often
I personally don't change my fuel filters but about every 5 years or longer. I keep fresh clean fuel in my mowers and have never had an issue.
he said it ahd restriction and later he says its good,, who understands that????
That turtle is cool as heck!🐢
Hey friend, sounds like your air tool could use a little oil in it…
Love the turtle. We’ve had a wild snapper about that size come through my yard several times. A few years ago was the last. We did have a smaller snapper come through this Spring. Carefully carried him to the pond in the back field.
Keep up the great videos.
"Help, everything is working fine! Charge me some money!"
That thought has crossed my mind but I figured it didn't matter if the mowers keep running.
😆😁😄😆👍 that just happened to me L0L. Thanks for sharing your great information. It was really making me wonder...
That's normal on a setup like that? If it had an electric fuel pump, it would probably keep it filled like people are thinking? Good job, sir.
Funny, just two days ago I was looking at my Husqvarna running and noticed the fuel filter looked empty! I didn't know why but obviously the engine was running fine but it freaked me out that I couldn't see any fuel at all going through the filter. Thank you so much for explaining the reason why. Cheers.
I put a new clear fuel filter on my skid truck after a few days my carb started flooding the metal plates in the filter started rusting and messed up my new needle and seat on my holly carb two times before i figured out what was happening . Get the ones with plastic inside the filter on the ends of the paper. The gas has too much alcohol in it.
What’s I’ve seen is sometimes that black fuel pump, where the fuel filter line goes into . Gets dirt in and the breather ends up getting clogged… considering they haven’t changed it since buying it
Turtle and bird are super cool! So is the tip! Thanks.
Yep! Nicely done my Friend! I miss my tortoise Anya. She was a Russian Timberland with an awesome personality and smart as a whip like you're son there. Did I hear you call him Rotini? That's hysterical! A little Alfredo or Marinara and a sprinkling of Parmesan and you've got a meal! Joking of course. Cheers! Zip~
our other tortoises are named Ziti and gnocchi 🤣🤣
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 😂😂
my tortoises get a lot of attention in my videos. Maybe I should do more of that.🤔🤔🤔
Thank you. It’s easier to change filter than deal with a carb problem….and lost time
That big turtle is awesome 👌 buddy
All my questions answered
On a new or very clean filter. It almost never fills up. As it gets dirty(from bottom to top) The level will climb because it has to go further up the paper for the fuel to get thru. When I see my motorcycle filter full to the top. It's time to put a new one on. About every two years on mine.
IS THAT TURTLE AN RC, WHERE CAN I BUY ONE ??...I DIDN,T SEE YOUR CONTROLLER...YOUR GOOD !!
If you let it dry out. Then shake it in to a peace of dark paper you will find real fine particles on the paper. From the. Refinery It will
Let you no what’s. Geting into your carb with out a. Filter
Be sure to use premium gasoline. Ethanol residue will clog the carburetor and damage the fuel lines.
Great video, beautiful sulcata they are very passionate.
Yeah, this isn't a problem.
I just changed my fuel pump and carb. Now I', not getting gas to my engine. Fuel filters have also been changed.
I have an antique farmall A tractor. It has a bottom gravity feed fuel line. The filter also doesn't fill up ever. There us no fuel pump just gravity fed from the bottom of the tank to the carburetor.
Thanks! Love the turtle and bird.
Not being filled completely means its not restricting flow or need changed
PRETTY COOL WITH YOUR CLOSE UP INSIDE THE FILTER , STAY AWESOME MATE !!
How old is your turtle?
that turtle is loved. Says a lot about you, good man.
paper fuel filters are for engines with a fuel pump and the smaller disc shaped screen filters are for gravity systems , uless you get water or lots of foreign material in a paper filter they should filter thousands of gallons of gas before needing replacement
incorrect
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 either will work but why would you want a screen filter with a fuel pump or a big paper filter with gravity?
Awesome to have a turtle
Is that a tortoise 🐢 or turtle. He is Cool. Good videos ALSO
Do not use this type of filter on an engine WITHOUT a fuel pump. The resistance is too great for a gravity feed. Use a siple mesh screen filter for graity fed systems.
One certain way to be sure your not starving your fuel pump is to mount the cartridge type filter verically. The fuel will pool up around the outlet insuring your pump doesn't suck air.
Says who?
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 B&S, Honda, virtually all the manufacturers specify a low restriction screen type of filter for their gravity fed systems.
I also learned from experience as I was wondering why my rider wasn't staying running so I ran the fuel system and found no blockages so I asked the manufacturer. They asked if I had replaced any parts and I responded "Yes; I replaced the little disc type fuel filter with a see-thru paper cartridge type so I could see when it gets dirty. They told me that I had the wrong filter for my fuel system and that it was too restrictive. I replaced the cartridge with a disc type screen filter and she runs like a dream now.
Apparently, the extra suction from the pump is required to overcome the small micron filters.
Turtle is impressive! How old is he?
I have a John Deere riding lawnmower and it doesn't fill up with gas. I changed the spark plug today and fuel spilled out of the spark plug hole. What will cause this to happen. It's a Briggs and Stratton engine 17 hp
I recently replaced a fuel pump and filter on a kawasaki powered 21hp golf cart and the fuel just continues to trickle out. It will only run with choke on and I've ultrasonically cleaned the carburetor. Seems like it's going to need a carburetor.
It's installed backwards.
Customers do not know this 😂
The turtle is way cool!
Man I just changed out my carburetor but it’s still flooding. What do you think it is?
It will fill up more as time goes on.
40 hours on the clock and it never filled up so🤷
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 oh keep going... I change mine about once a year so they go over 100 hours per. When I do change it and restart they are totally dry. I always expect the mower to die but never does. By the time it's time to change them they are full.
Very cool sir! Thanks!
Hi bud
the turtle part got me so hooked up that i even forgot about the filter
I bought some Raisman fuel filters and they were absolute junk. The plastic started crumbling in 1.5-2 months. I guess they have you over a barrel and make you pay $10-$15 for a decent fuel filter.
These small 1 4 inch fuel filters cost more than the half inch and automotive filters unless you can order in bulk.
Thats' one happy tortoise/turtle
Say hi to the turtle for me.
hey man
Mine not filling and gas won't come out the fuel pump and I bought a new pump and still not getting gas
check for collapsed, fuel lines, pinched fuel, lines, and fuel line obstructions
All lines are new petcock and tank is clean it's a pulsing pump I meant to put that I can't afford to keep paying someone to mow but I had it fire up it's just not getting fuel
What was she feeding it ???
It looked like cactus.
Looked like prickly pear cactus, yum!
RC TURTLE FOOD !!
Nice….what was that tool you used to cut open the filter?
a saw
Another great tip!
"I use clean gas. Why do I need a new filter?" Said the owner of the 10 year old JD.
Hmmmmm, Say what you want Jim but the John Deere 155c I bought new 6-6-06 had the factory gas filter just as shown until about 2 yrs. ago. It wasn't causing any problems at all, I just figured maybe it should be changed. This year I pulled the tranny and changed the fluid plus 1st steering componets. 753 hours and it runs and mows just as it did when new.
i bet that turtle would like a banana
It,s a tortoise eating a green pepper
Not really, it’s a Sulcata tortoise eating a prickly pear cactus pad.
MORE LIKE A GREEN PEPPER BEING EATIN - ALIVE BY AN RC CONTROL TURTLE !!
Red neck way saves the day.
