what i've been doing is pair coalescence with bubbly dance and quick breath. this combo for DB means i have permanent coalescence uptime while also being basically untouchable due to the evasion and evade cost bonuses from the bubbleblight. this is also relatively easy to slot in (especially if you just want the raw and don't care to slot in 3 points of coalescence) and frees you up to build whichever skills you want
You don't need quick breath if it's just for bubble dance since it ends naturally after 30s. You can have near 100% uptime on Coalescence AND Resuscitate with just bubble dance.
This was literally one of my first set ideas and it boggles me so few have figured this out. As already stated you don't even need quick breath and the set possibilities with this are near endless
@@bdhdr4226 yeah bubble dance also counts as "healed" if you get hit but i like having quick breath for the utility and the on-demand triggers, since i have a spare 3 slot on my set anyway
Try to use Shagaru helm, it is really perfect for that
Coalescence 2, Bloodlust 1, and decor slot fit for Quick Breathe
While Bubbly Dance is easy to slot in
I do the same, using the Antique Machina, so my priority is to pile on status buildup w Coalescence. And because I'm not a fan of bloodlust, I use Bubbly Dance (uptime of Coalescence is higher on Bubbly Dance than bloodlust too)
I like Bloodlust, Rescucitate and Coalesence as a trio, it feels very consistent and the frenzy puts pressure on me to perform well and not get lazy
Oh, plus eating for lvl 4 Recovery and lvl 3 Immunizer, it's pretty bonkers
honestly based comment
Pretty much full Arc Armor, very nice btw
@@AnimePrince03 You can go that way but I like to build mix sets which lean into whatever weapon I'm playing more than full Arc allows, or sneak some other comforts in like Evade Extender, Blood Rite, Speed Sharpening, that sort of thing
@@talongrayson
ikr! Mixing in Sunbreak is much better than World/Iceborne
Quick tip about frenzy, dropping an Antidobra immediately ends it and puts you into the buffed state, as if you had done enough damage. Might not be good for this build, as the immunity to status effects afterwards doesn't synergize, but useful to have one when fighting the Magalas.
Antidobra is actually really good with it. Not only does it instantly beat the Frenzy and gives you the buff, it effectively works as a free Max Potion while you're under the Frenzy debuff. Have only 10% health and want to beat the Frenzy ? Pop it down and boom, 100% and the 25% Affinity bonus.
Quick Breath is also nice with these abilities. Generally nice with Coalescence since it allows you to instantly cure statuses with a switch skill swap, but it can also be used if you're in danger of failing to cleanse the frenzy. It doesn't cure it completely, but rather gives you more time, like using a nulberry.
I use a 4 skill combo of resentment, coalescence, bloodlust and dereliction. My health is draining at an obscene rate but the damage is absolutely bonkers
I like bloodlust on gunner builds since it’s easy to avoid dmg. But I need blood rite on melee weapons if I’m ever gonna use dereliction
Swap resentment for mail of hellfire 😜
Yo fellas, love the channel + good info in the video. Not gonna lie, I had to struggle through watching this though; the background music is terrible, distracting and too loud. Please consider going with something a little less busy. Even if the music were quieter I think it'd still be annoying, doesn't help that the song is short and doesn't loop good. Otherwise, thank you for the content!
Bloodlust 1 is basically a meta-defining skill right now. While the armor isn't great, a flat +20% Affinity and +15 Attack (Coalescence 2 assuming Storge Helm) is one of the single strongest buffs in the game. What's more, unlike Dereliction or Mail of Hellfire, it doesn't lock you to a Switch Skill Scroll, meaning you're free to pair it with your choice of the aforementioned skills.
For me, Bloodlust 1 + Coalescence 2 has become a staple of my armor sets, since when it combined with Daora Soul and Weakness Exploit, I'm getting 85% Affinity before accounting for the weapon.
The only problem I have with Bloodlust is when a monster changes zones before I can trigger the buff. There have been quite a few fights where I take too long to get there and end up with the debuff instead, and it makes for a real rough fight, lol
if you bring nullberries in your item load out you can snack on them while you run after the monster, won't clear bloodlust but will keep your bar from filling and popping the debuff.
Not being locked to a switch skill is the main reason why I pick it over dereliction. I'm constantly switching on the fly with CB.
I have been experimenting with bloodlust and dereliction recently and some of the builds I ended up making are kinda insane. Encourages aggressive playstyle and also feels rewarding.
Dereliction, resuscitate, coalesence, resentment, and dragonheart are a fantastic combo
Depending on the weapon, if I don’t need more affinity and I’d rather have more attack, I use hellfire cloak level 3 with coalescence and the rampage Magnamalo deco, instead of bloodlust. Since there is now a lvl 4 deco for hellfire, it’s much easier to deco for it too.
This! Me too
Did this with a bonus quick breath, pretty good
1:49 Excellent bullfango-assisted repositioning, top tier gameplay
I feel like Coalescence and Hellfire with Magno's soul on your weapon would be a pretty awesome combo as well
I got a similar thing going using Magnasoul on several Greatswords and using the Sinister Grudge set and both Adamant Charge Slash and Power Sheath to remove Hellfire for a knockdown and not losing damage due to Coalescence procing in place of Magnasoul.
I've had hunts where the Coalescence timer only ran out on area transitions that were bigger than two areas.
It frees up slots for mazed out Defense Boost so that the Red Scroll isn't nearly as hazardous.
No hard element resist sadly, so I can't use an element version of this set up without being one shot by Furious Rajang beams
My ‘signature build’ that I’ve become a bit infamous for in my group is what I call the ‘Rend’ build. It’s 3 piece dire, 3 piece blood rite, 1 piece bloodlust.
You drain hp incredibly fast, but your win condition is getting your first cure from frenzy and breaking any monster part - at that point, you become incredibly hard to kill, what with dire healing whenever you switch, full healing of red hp from frenzy cure, and leeching from broken monster parts.
It’s a pretty incredible build, but obviously very dependent on if you can make plays early on it the hunt, so you aren’t just deadweight.
Similar, but I go 3 dereliction, 2 bloodlust, 2 bloodrite, resentment, resuscitation, and coalescence. I call it a masochist build thanks to how often I'm debuffed and losing health.
resentment pairs well with bloodlust and coalescence as it gives you a raw buff while bloodlust is working and then coalescence takes over.
Running a comfy build with 3 pieces Archfiend (no dereliction) and 2 pieces furious Rajang armor. High defense and a lot of offense skills.
Awesome thumbnail -> no trace of that armor/weapon in the video...
Thank you for the skill suggestion though :P
coalesence + bloodlust it's such a classic, but it's always good to talk about in a pro dereliction world. + i think it's the best option when you want to play a status build in genral
I've got bloodlust, dereliction, coalescence, resucitate, and resentment on my spread HBG set, its really fun especially when you pair it with redirection, the frenzy also fully heals your dereliction damaged health
Coa+Bloodlust is fairly strong in gunner sets, but I’m personally a fan of Coa+Hellfire Cloak for melee. Combined with Mag Soul, you’re getting 28 total raw, and more element or status damage. It’s also easy to slot in Agitator alongside it for another 25 raw and some extra affinity. And you get the hellfire mines for a free knockdown.
If you’re using a weapon with a guard, you can run Scorned Helm, and Guild Palace Arms (I believe) for Coa 3 with a 4 slot deco that you can use for Hellfire+. And you even get a point of redirection, which is easily one of my favorite skills added to rise.
Bloodlust coalescence bubbly dance is also viable as getting hit when inflicted by bubble blight immediately removes it and somehow this is counted as recovering from a blight so coalescence is then activated
Bloodlust can actually heal all the red health lost by dereliction too, so you'd have even more attack with a more efficient way of healing
I’ve been running the shagaru helm for all of my sleep builds and it’s a ton of fun
This fits in basically any set. My SnS, SA and IG set run this. Its so easy to proc.
Yeah ive been using the shagaru pants and scorned magna waist and its soooo good
What i did in my build was Hellfire cloak + coalescence. hellfire cloak is easier to remove plus the first use downs a monster. equip magnamalo soul to increase attack when inflicted with hellfire blight, once hellfire is removed coalescence kicks in. either way you get an attack up
Video drop just as lunch is served
literally just made some hot dogs
putting on resentment is good too, get a nice damage boost while the bloodlust is starting out
@arekkz as a fellow SNS main you need to try helm, chest and arms from shagaru, sinister demon waist and valstrax greaves for your elemental SNS builds. It’s Nasty 🤤
Comfort build of hellfirecloak4, coalescence3, resuscitate3, hellfiremail1, attack5, defense7, ww3, qs3, earplug4 on a neg.affinity brutal strike build work wonders on anything that do not often have good hitzones(like scorned magnamalo tail for most of the hunt) for weakness exploit.
You can have hellfirecloak constantly proccing coalescence when it refreshes, and it's almost always up(as long as monster is raging, plus 1 minute after raging) for resuscitate.
Bubble dance, coalesce, resecutate does the same thing but does not drain hp. You also won't get as much attack bonus but will get evade and construction
Always make sure to have these! 2 levels of blood rite and one level of dereliction, along with those skills in this video make for a very sweet playstyle. Try putting quick breath on the archdemon legs, then eating for Dango Shifter! 🍡
If you can tie in a bit of resentment, you will have a nice attack boost during the frenzy state.
My prize set is a mix of Shagaru and Gore. I get +40 raw as soon as I engage from resuscitate and frenzy from bloodlust 3. From the Gore pieces, I get spirit for a whopping 60 raw and 40 affinity. I also have bubbly dance so I can activate coalescence swifter as well as get resuscitate even after the frenzy is cured.
You described coalescence so well lmfao. I was in a heated hunt with Gore and it finally triggered and I just screamed “YEAH BABY HERE COMES MY SHONEN ERAAA” at my boyfriend lmfao.
I made a new set for myself called hellfire veil, it mainly runs off of hellfire cloak and dragonheart, I have coalescence for those two "blights" because it procs off both of them as "abnormal" statuses and so I constantly have the attack buff, pluss the occasional 50 boost to all my resistances. Then lastly I have full resentment for when both brights proc off, usually I go from 340 flat damage to 467 when all stats proc off, which is usually most of the hunt
I'd love to try this, what's your set?!
@@VenVidiVici scorned magnamalo head and legs, Valstrax chest, arms, and waist, and since you get like 3 or 4 for slot jewels, I slot a defense into one of them to help a little with resistances, after that it's more so universal for any skills and weapons you want
The music for this video slaps.
I don't see anyone mentioning this tip, but if you are building for coalescence avoid getting bloodlust 3, only get levels 1-2. Level 3 increases the duration of the frenzy overcome buff to 90 seconds, it means it takes much longer to proc coalescence again, which lasts only 30 seconds. Getting frenzied more often also means you get the buffs from bloodlust for being frenzies more often. So TLDR, use bloodlust 1 or 2 for coalescence focused builds.
I'm still working on refining it because currently Dereliction and Full Attack is still overall better, but one of my HH builds is named "Sound of Madness" because I'm rocking Hellfire Cloak, Bloodlust, Blood Rite, and Dereliction all at the same time. Sadly until we get better 4-slot gems with things like Double Attack this is limited because so many of the pieces to use have 4-slots instead of the multiple 2-slots that would be more useful. (My Armor was, from head to toe; Sinister, Storge, Any but I used Malzeno, Malzeno, Archdaemon).
It is pretty fun though, but Hellfire Cloak works better for this than Bloodlust, especially when combined with a Magna Soul Rampage Decoration, because you can get Hellfire by a monster enraging, then immediately wirebug to drop it, which activates Coalescence, then hit the monster again to get Hellfire Back which doesn't drop Coalescence, but does again proc Resuscitate.
using even just the Valstrax gloves alone for WEX will proc Dragonheart almost everytime you take damage, and then you can time your heal to proc Coalescence exactly when you want it
As soon as I unlocked Shagaru Magala armor I basically ran this. And currently I run my IG set with both as well as a couple levels of Mail of Hellfire. I also slot in Hellfire Cloak so that I have an on-demand Coalescence proc when the enemy is enraged.
Is it possible to stack max blood rite while maxing these two skills as well? Possibly adding another chance to reduce red damage?
I play CB Spinning Slash with Bloodlust, Dereliction and Hellfire 3
Absolutely fun to play and way worth experimenting with. Using this on a Monster you know well leads to insane numbers.
there is a 3slot decoration that removes instantly every debuff and heals you after you switched your scroll, which means you can remove every negative status whenever you want for a heal and you can pair it with coalescence for a neat dmg buff
Quick Breath doesn't remove the Frenzy instantly, but it does reduce the meter.
also, afflicted debuff adds crazy healing to offset the drain
The best 5 unique armor skills:
#1- Dereliction
#2- Blood Lust
#3- Mail of Hellfire
#4- Dragonheart (still good)
#5- Blood Rite
Dereliction is still the best, since it gives the highest Raw and consistently takes advantage of Resentment, also has a built-in self heal when switching scrolls.
Bloodlust can be paired with Resentment when Health is being drained, also works really well with Resuscitate and Coalescence.
Mail of Hellfire can be paired with Furious (Red scroll) to negate the defense reduction, also a Hard Defense++ 4 Jewel.
Dragonheart can be paired with 1 level of Bloodlust from the Arc helmet or 1 level of Dereliction from the Archfiend legs, you will lose 1 level of Dragonheart but gain more damage from Resentment.
Blood Rite can be paired with the Kushala's Blessing for even more Health regeneration, you just need Malzeno's waist with Kushala's braces and legs.
1:46 Bullfango: "Excuse me, I'mma just sneak past ya real quick."
Seriously. What kind of witchcraft is that? I get decked by those things all the time in this zone...
I’ve been running mail of hellfire, blood lust, blood rite and the key component dragon heart. Using dragon heart negates the negative effects of mail of hellfire.
I'm running this on switch axe with deriliction as well 😅. I'm not sure if health is draining faster with both but it seems like it lol
So is the 'set combo' for this pairing actually just the full Shagaru armorset?
Look like how xenojiva armor in iceborn work, i usually just pare something like this with latent power, got stamina use down and 50% affinity with good up time, and easy to activated too
I find bloodlust more manageable than dereliction because it doesn't drain your health as long if you're aggressive and also recovers your health after dealing enough damage
Sinister grudge helm is all you need.
Hellfire blight is the better option
Hunting horn set.
Devil's lute hunting horn(magnamalo soul)
Sinister grudge helm
Valstrax mail eclipse
Archfeind armor epine
Archfeind armor ura

Evade extender 3
Wirebug whisperer 3
Counter strike 2
Dereliction 2
Coalecence 2
Chain crit 2

Flinch free 1
Dragon heart 1
Redirection 1
Attack 3, evade extender 1 2 single slot tali.
Still working on it,
My bloom can hit around 1300 and total damage for earth shaker about 1600.
You can wirebug the hellfire away easily to activate coalecence and the first time monster hits hellfire you first knock down with it is free in a pinch damage with it there after.
The set is a touch risky hence the def boost and heath regen from horn.
Rip headphone users the music made me thing there was a fly in my ear lol
Dragonheart and bloodlust is a fun combo
6:53 Your hunter looks like The Weekend. . . That's a very strange statement
Does bloodust work with gunlance shelling.
For future videos, mind giving basic builds centered around these armor skills discussed? Sadly some of us, mostly pointed at myself, kinda suck at making proper decent builds 😅
What weapon type, and much of a ratio between dps and comfy skills do want?
@@abyssphantom6786 well for me, I bounce between Sword and Shield and Charge Blade.
Bloodlust, Rescucitate and Coalesence, throwing also Mail of Hellfire in to test your sanity.
Jk asides, this is actually pretty viable, because scorned mag set also comes with coalesence. The downside is that sadly the armor pieces needed don't have enough slot.
I prefer mail of hellfire over dereliction, both bloodlust and MoH has the benefit of allowing you to switch scroll without dmg lost
or hear me out u go insane as i have and put all of them on 😈 now thats a lot of damage but if u get hit even once u might as well say goodbye XD.
@@theradtoaster2257 there isn't much point in using both dereliction and moh, they work the opposite scroll of each other
@@pokinginpractice9108 i mean its so u can swap Scrolls and i mean it does actually one has element and the other is attack so your always getting attack and Element no matter what so for element builds it could be good.
@@theradtoaster2257 yes, but there are other ways, using teostra blessing for example, to boost elemental dmg without having the downsides of dereliction.
ultimately, depending on the wp you use, you still want to slot crit eye and atk boost which are 7lv
@@pokinginpractice9108 i have lv7 Atk at all time almost so im good Teostras armor just isnt that good imo theres many better options in term of defense especially and then if u have the Deco's and Talismans then the sky's the limit of course certain weapons also have some good deco slots as well such as Kamura weapons and a few Scorned weapons as welll
I saw in another video that you can have Mail of Hellfire at level 3 and then dreagon heart (preferably at 4 but level 3 is good too) and dragonheart will override the lost resistances
Done it already and its does damage, but you need a extremely special team for it to properly wirk
I use a combo of Coelesence+ Blood Lust + 1 Mail of Rage and 1 Furious just for unga bunga set
How can you show the weapon moveset inputs on your screen, i think im blind because i cant find the option in settings 😵💫
I think Bloodlust is supposed to be the "unique" skill for Shagaru so it probably won't ever appear on charms
1:35
i dont recall Peak Performance ever having a timed portion of its buff??
I want to see a build that somehow utilizes all visual de buffs like Dereliction, Hellfire, Bubbly Dance, Frenzy etc.
So combing coalescence with hellfire is realy good to
Are we going to ignore how he did not get hit by that bullfango that was ramming
1:49 I call HHAAAAAXXXXXXXX
Wanted to try Coalesence out, but seeing a merely +4 elemental damage increase and for a very limited time just made me ignore it.
My favorite combo is furious maximum might
What a coincidence, I was just farming shagaru for this armor set
It's almost like you been watching my twitch channel. I just made a bloodlust coalesce kushala set up. When blighted you can die fast but once you pop bloodlust you become immortal
super dango recovery only works if their is no monster that see you
I run this with hellfire cloak and resusite for almost 100% buff uptime
Why dont u bring back the mixset mondays bro!
One step ahead of you, haven’t tested it enough so I’m not really sure how I’d rate it.
Hint. Grab an Antidobra or two. They instantly cleanse Frenzy and will give you the affinity boost without having to go through the effort for it.
Rescucitate/Resentment combined with Bubbly Dance would work rather well alongside Coalescence. But it doesn't seem as fun as Charge Master, Blood Rite, and hammer.
Charge Master really doesn't do much for Hammer though.
@@AziSlays use courage charge, spam ZR, great dmg especially if you exploit the monster's elemental weakness, and use the elemental attack skills. 300+ dmg on the lvl 2 and 3 attacks is normal with this setup. More if you can get crits and purple sharpness, but I like having comfort skills more than optimizing for just dmg.
I did that combo in the first days of sunbreak the only issue is 2 majors thing
1st you need to be damm good to avoid monsters perfectly so you don't die with all that hp drain.
2nd Hp drain is way to ridiculous.
This combo would be more efficient with the update when armor can roll for those skills that can help you heal or mitigate Dot.
Dango and fish, you can offset the health loss.
Challenge mode is running bloodlust with dereliction. Super health drain.
It definitely isn't for every weapon, but clearing Frenzy and proccing Coalesence is so ridiculously easy for ranged weapons that you really should try and fit it into most sets.
Can you make a video for getting valstrax spineshell+? I need lots of it but it's very hard to break the back on solo
Pull out a bow gun. Aim for the big fin on his back. Easy peasy
@@londonglasgow2145 so i have to learn gunning first? What ammo do you recommend?
@@lalakinghamog LBG is super easy to pick up, if u have played any 3rd person shooting game. rapid fire piercing or rapid fire slicing for ammo. The izuchi lbg has both and cost nothing to craft. combine that with full rathalos armor if u just want something eazy that will work. If u dont have a main weapon consider LBG. Dont forget the evade extender lol
Wouldn't quick breath work as well
I think I'll just stick to 3 levels weakness exploit, 3 levels Crit boost. Far simpler and drastically more effective. Its a shame, but thats the way it is.
"not a super sweaty skill"
as if a large chunk of the speedrun gearsets arent arc/storge helm+archfiend gloves and boots for bloodlust, coalescence, resentment, and dereliction
1:49 O□O
"Combine these two skills that are literally on the same armor"
nice
side note: arc set's wings are weird
Say of course one more time, I dare you.
I've been running Bloodlust 1, Rescucitate 3, Coalesence 3, Agitator 3, Hellfire Cloak 4 and Mail of Hellfire 1. Got my IG up to 600 raw lol
What build do you use?
@@CriticalChaosx devils halberd w/ magna rampage deco, storge helm, archfiend chest, luna arms, sinister waist, magma greaves. decos are 3x crit boost, 2x wex, 2x crisis and 2x hellfire4. I have a charm w/ attack 3 and a 4 slot, and add another attack deco for the % and a handicraft deco cos there is no other sharpness management.
Noice
shaggy set carried my SnS ass to MR 60 no problem. I only dropped it to start experimenting.
I'll stick with Attack Boost 7 plus 100% affinity.
I feel like your either way behind it your videos are coming out late lol. This has been a known combo for a while now. Good video though.
5:18 level 1 level 2 and level 2 .... was this a plan for getting more coments? xD
It's pretty cool. Just a shame that Shagaru's weapons are kind of bad.
i have been messing around with coalescence, hellfire cloak, mail of hellfire and resusitate since you can simply do a wirebug attack to get rid of the status for a second and the hellfire then just comes back kinda strong tbh and no passive health loss that being said ofc you lose defence from the mail skill
I run hammer builds that use bloodlust, coalescence, dereliction, resentment, and mail of hellfire along with attack boost 7. I also combine that with the elemental up skills maxed. I can hit for close to 800 dmg on the training dummy.
Way better skills than Dereliction.
