Lol, good to see actual real footage of frustrating moments included in the video rather than edited out. So many people make their maintenance videos look like its all a breeze. Well done for not swearing and cursing hahahha
Was cooking dinner and having a couple cans and only half paying attention to your vid. Was a bit shocked when I looked and seen cam with a Gatorade bottle and a hose. 😲
Thanks Cam. Always great to learn a good Mcgyver hack. Hey tbh, to me at least, it would’ve made more sens if you left out the part were you you received another vac from the client after yours was cracked...or maybe explained why the larger vac tube wasn’t useable in a pinch. (After all, isn’t it used for the tank normally?..maybe I’m missing something) In any case, was cool to see the drink bottle hack. Awesome. Thanks and cheers guys.
We could have left it out, but I think we left it in to demonstrate how the bottle-siphon is often better than a commercial siphon. Thanks for watching😊 Cam
@@mimicmage If you haven’t seen bristleworms cause damage to corals your not looking closely enough. They crawl up into corals with cut bases and feed on coral tissue, they feed on broken and damaged corals, and they irritate corals on the substrate.
Greetings from the U.S. , I noticed that allot of the tanks you care for have chillers. Is that because people in Australia keep their houses warmer then the recommended temperature of the tank? Thank you for the nice videos and information.
I get this question often, I guess it’s just our climate. In our part of Australia people don’t really heat their houses, we just use air conditioning in summer to cool. The house air conditioning is not usually enough to counter the heat load of the aquarium equipment. Cam
Was gonna make a comment on the shoe rack but someone smarter than me (not hard) beat me too it. Such a nice tank - yeah the fish are stunning especially the Achilles - aren't they from Hawaii - guess they won't be available now. I still devo'd over not being able to get Red tailed Tamarins ;)
I think marine fish recognize their owners. Truly do. Not because you feed them, but they actually recognize you. Not sure if its related to motion or body shapes? Family and myself can stand infront of the tank and they all swim around and act normal. Guest come over and they hide every time.
I believe fish have the ability of facial recognition. It makes sense that fish can recognise faces, as in the ocean it’s important to know which fish are dangerous and which fish are not a threat. Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV We're potentially very dangerous fish I guess;) so they have to keep an eye on us. And we suppose that our room with computer in it is now facial-recognition-free (FB and UA-cam new user conditions)! No way: our tank does facial recognition 24/7!
Are you guys doing it any different out in Australia regarding fish stocking? How are you able to get away with so many tangs and fox faces in a 4 ft tank? In America, tang police is on high alert. You talk about only having a blue hippo tang in a 4 ft tank and people lose it here.

the fish are hilarious during the water change "may day may day, we're going down! we're losing containment!!! may day!"
Nice work Cam.
Thanks Paul.

With all the tanks you guys service what is the most popular controller system you find being used?
Definitely Apex controllers. Cam
can we use a sea water directly to aquarium sir. it nescessary to check salinity of seawater
Have u guys got any bristle worm traps In stock at the moment?
Sure do! Heaps
Thanks will probably pop in this weekend
Those aren't pest they won't kill corals or fish... Why would you remove them

Are Gold Lined rabbit fish reef safe??
Normally, but you occasionally hear of them eating Zoas. Cam
Good to see Lachy from the wiggles doing fish videos!
My second favourite wiggle after Emma wiggle😉
You would be lost without that leather man 😂
That is true.

@@GalleryAquaticaTV Thanks for replying. Love your channel!
Sorry to see you lost your gravel vac mate

I probably destroy a gravel vac a month from stepping on them. You’d think I’d learn😂
I have a 90 gallon tank what tangs can I have
Is the shoe rack part of the filtration system ? 🤣🤣
Hey Cam. Hope you are doing well 😊
Could be a record video post to reply :)
Great to see you’re back to your best😉
Ironic seeing cam next to so many shoes. :D
😂
And good luck finding an achilles tang for sale in oz now. If you have one I will take it.
Yep, probably a thing of the past unfortunately. Cam
wonder where u learned how to mcguyver drink bottles
Do you ask this because of my comment at 4:20?

I’ll never look at a drinks bottle in the same way again 🤣🤣…
Hahaha
You made something that is available already. How is that possibly the "greatest hack"?
Because we made it out of a used drink bottle!
@@GalleryAquaticaTV by the time you buy the hose you spent as much as a similar sized gravel vac
Nice hack but kinda a bull in a China shop with that sand going everywhere. Just sayin.
