One, rewatch this trailer when you finish with 5.0. You will be amazed. Two, this is honestly the most artistic of the trailers. ARRs shows the Battle of Cartenau and Bahamut as well as setting up some raid bosses/characters. Heavensward gives us the direct tension of Ishgard vs the dragons and the landscapes of the expansion. Stormblood gives us actual scenes from the expansion and a little scene or two from each, but Shadowbringers...it takes absolute poetic license with the events it chooses to show. Several events are represented symbolically rather than directly shown. Not gonna say more lest spoil, but God I love this trailer.
"Become the Warrior of Darkness" ... I mean the expansion is _called_ "Shadowbringers" so... yeah. hehe. I know, this all blew our minds back in the day too, we were like "WTF?" wondering if we were supposed to become evil or something. You'll find out as you play, of course. We won't spoil, or at least I won't. I just want to reassure you that we all had the same "WTF?" moments when we saw the trailer for the first time too.
You'll get it as you play. I just started it myself and his reason for saying it makes sense when you get to that part. Still I've got to level up another job to get any benefits from the quests and side quests. Started at level 80 and can't go higher. I just wanted to do my next Summoner job quest, that's all.
Fun fact: The Dark Knight being the poster class for this expansion made no sense, because Dark Knights don't channel dark energies. Canonically, they channel feelings. Dark Knights are actually magical girls.

It makes me a little sad whenever people don't recognize the lion and giant lady statues from Lost City of Amdapor (Hard). I know it's an optional dungeon or whatever, but it only makes me think the dungeon should become mandatory so there's at least that connection being made.
I never understand why streamers watch these "trailer" cutscenes on UA-cam when they could just have easy access to them from the main menu of the game, with the bonus of getting to see what the title screen for that expansion looked like right after.
