It also starred Gwen Stewart (the original Seasons of Love soloist in Rent) as Maybelle, Todrick Hall as Seaweed and Barry Pearl from the movie and TV versions of Grease as Wilbur Turnblad.

I still remember when the casting was first released and afterwards when I first saw a vid of these 2 in their roles... it was legitimately like watching Anya and Dimitri irl and I teared up so bad😭 I’m heartbroken that I can’t watch them for this musical anymore cause as much as Zach is amazing Derek was literally Dimitri come alive for me...

I can't wait for the OBC recording, but I will forever be just a little bit bitter that this song was never incorporated into the show. This song is an incredibly underrated one - it can apply to so many aspects of Anya's past, present, and future not just her relationship with Dimitri.
