21. The Epic Journey to our home mooring, rivers, canals and water pipes and I do my first solo lock

Welcome back to Buzzy's Boaty. Today's episode shows my epic journey to our new home mooring. I take on my first solo lock. I'm helped out by other boaters and the wind makes life a little more challenging. Great fun.
For those of you just stopping by for the first time, welcome onboard! We are Andrew, Karon and Isla (Puppy, well a 10-year-old GSD who thinks she is a cute little puppy). We have been dreaming, planning and saving for the past 6 years to have our own 57-foot narrowboat built. Narrowboat Tethys, an enclosed bow, cruiser stern narrowboat that is lined with the engine fitted ready for us to start fitting out our own dream boat. Join us on our epic journey as we fit her out and then cruise the wonderful UK canal and river network.

Hesford Marine is a Do It Yourself boatyard. By renting hard standing on the boat yard you can carry out repairs and maintenance, either by yourself of by choosing a tradesman of your own choice.
