A lot of this is a lot better than the current reboot, I don't really see how it's much of an improvement over the original continuity, or really how it's all that different. I feel the familial connection between all the characters takes a lot away from them. I want to see how the previous generation met and became friends, not how these guys who grew up together ended up inheriting the family business. In the case of Gwen; in the original series she worked to become good at magic, and developed throughout the show. This is a lot more compelling than her just, completely out of her control, being born with it. It’s a lot less compelling when your characters don’t have any agency. The same basic thing can be said for the others too. Rook becoming a plumber is a lot more interesting if it’s against his family’s wishes. Kevin learning to become an anti hero is interesting because he comes from a troubled background. Ben (before the episode The Visitor) is just a kid who was given this great power by chance. I think that’s one thing the 2016 reboot has over the original continuity. Ben just happens upon this watch. It’s not like it was meant for his family, or the creator of the omnitrix knew his grandpa. He just has to live with this enormous power he’s been given. Some minor things. I think there’s a better way to show the background of the story than to just have Ben exposit it over voice over. In the OS we don’t learn about Max’s plumber history until the finale/ beginning of the second season, and that’s 100 times more interesting than it being narrated about in the first episode. The cast seems a bit too expansive for, what seems like, a 10 minute, mostly episodic story. Also Kickin Hawk sucks. Otherwise, well edited and scripted video! The music intros could be a little less intrusive, but all in all very well done!
Thank you. And that's fair, honestly my general goal towards making this is to tell a story about exploration, relationships above all else a coming of age story to differentiate it from the original with those taking the focus. And that's a very fair point. I think the general idea of doing it this way, is I'm admittedly going in with the idea people have previously watched the show. This is mostly considering the original continuity didn't end too long ago. So I went with that in mind. You also make a great point about Gwen too. Though I should point out that she isn't quite a master magician or anything as well. She'd still be developing her powers over the course of the series, but have a good grip on them. She wouldn't be alien, but it would be some form of a trait. Alternatively, Gwen could've just got into magic as a kid, Verdona saw it and took her under her wing. Ben would still come upon the Omnitrix by chance though. It's not a matter of it was because of Max or fate or destiny or interference from an alternate dimensional clone, he just found the Omnitrix. Opening monologue would give the minimal information like "Grandpa was a plumber, him and his team took down Vilgax, etc." more information would come throughout the series through flashbacks and stuff like that. I also envision a 22 minute show for this since it's hypothetical. And leave my bird boi alone! Thank you so much for your input and duly noted. That's admittedly something I've been trying to work on.
If Ben 10 got an anime reboot, this would be it, and I love it. My only nitpick is who you picked for the initial 10. I would've gone with: 1. Heatblast 2. Diamond Head 3. XLR8 4. Upgrade 5. Cannonbolt 6. Humungousaur 7. Echo Echo 8. Feedback 9. Grey Matter 10. Big Chill I wanted to choose some fan favorite aliens, as well as practical ones. I chose Big Chill over Articguana because it would let Ben fly and be stealthy, with the addition of ice powers and breathing underwater. I kept Grey Matter because I think it's important for Ben to have a smart alien and a link back to Azmuth, other than the Omnitrix. I also tried to keep most of them from the classic series and only added a few of the newer ones.
Thanks so much. I really like your set. The idea behind my initial set was that I wanted to keep it balanced between the four shows but also to not make Ben too strong at the beginning of his journey, so that more forms could make him grow. Y'know? Starting out with the likes of Ball Weevil but eventually getting the likes of Upchuck for example.
Lyoko Gem Oh I see what you mean. I think that’s a good idea! I think it’s okay to give Ben some power houses initially though. Like during season 1, he already had Four Arms and Diamond Head; two of his stronger transformations. I do think it’s important to keep his power balanced at first though. But that link with Grey Matter and Azumth seems really important to me. It makes it more relatable to Ben in a way because it’s not just some random alien; it’s one that we recognize because we’ve seen Ben utilize his skills before. As a long time fan of this series I was really disappointed when I saw what an insult the reboot was to the original. Really hoping that Man of Action starts working on either a better reboot or another mainline series sometime soon.
So Kevin and Rook are established from the beginning as friends. Gwen is more of a stranger to the family. Ben's original playlist is a bit unique. A bit more story driven and space-travel. I like it, better than our current one.
They're sorta kinda but not really relatives. Kevin himself, doesn't really like anybody at the beginning. I was going for balanced both between skills and generations of Ben 10. Thanks so much!
@@LyokoGem So would we get villains like Albedo and no AntiTrix (which is a dumb idea, how it was made). Maybe a more in-depth analysis of planets and aliens along the omnitrix and Ben being a bit smarter to master it.
Albedo is an Eh. I like him, but at the moment I don't see the reason to introduce him atm. If I did, I'd probably keep him Galvan rather than a Ben clone and work from there. We'd definitely get to know the planets that we're in along with the aliens in the Omnitrix. Ben would know a thing or two, but not everything within the reboot.
The most important thing when it comes to rebooting Ben 10 is giving Ben a Loboan form so that Kai can be properly introduced to the series.
Am I in the minority when it comes to not liking Kai? I thought Julie was better tbh
your ben 10 omniverse recreation of ben 10 losed feedback was epic.but the reboot is not bad too
Your version is perfect
Honestly I would watch this if it was an actual Ben 10 reboot

Oh, no Antitrix either.
While somewhat interesting I think Ben should be the only Omnitrix bearer within the universe.
I really enjoyed your version!
I might make a fan-made series called "Ben 10 Retold"
I say it should star a whole new cast and someone else picking up the mantle of the omnitrix
A part of me wishes that there would be a new Ben 10 series with only new aliens again like the beginning of Alien Force.
I would be entirely open to a new set of aliens, especially in a reboot.
5:35 Rook's planet is named Revonnah
. In the video you called it Revonnahgander which is the name of Rook's race, not his home world.
Yeah, that was a major mistake on my part.
@@LyokoGem shhh. Just say it's an artistic deviation from the source material.
