Curious - how different are these custom ceramic coatings coming out from woodworkers from an automotive ceramic coating? I have been experimenting with automotive ceramic coatings and have been impressed by the results, but am not confident yet to do it on a clients piece vs. ones in my own home.

This looks great! How heat resistent is this finish? What if someone places a hot pot or even cast iron on it? Rubio monocoque is considered heat resistent but I had clients complaint that they got burn marks from a hot pot so I was wondering whether your ceramic coating improves heat resistance. Thanks!

I imagine a hot cast-iron pot left on now for awhile would create some kind of mark on the ceramic possibly not on the wood underneath

Blacktail studio doesn’t have his own ceramic. He uses the one from Blackforest Wood
