Great video. Appreciate this. Picked my 19X up last fall. Easily follow these steps after each range visit and it still looks almost new. Thank you for posting

Well done (the Glock 19x is the first firearm I ever bought). The pro-shop salesperson recommended a cleaner-lubricant product, and I use it. I would like to see you demonstrate the use of a dual-purpose cleaner/lubricant on the 19x. The quality of your video is excellent--perfect closeups, great sound & lighting and the content is informative and useful.
Thank you for the compliments. I try to make it easy for everyone to learn. I'm not a huge fan of cleaner-lubricant-protectant (CLP) products. In my opinion, it's a lot more effective to do it as I did in the video. I personally use Shooter Lube to clean, M-Pro7 to Lube, and ballistol as the protectant for long term storage. Try them, you will see the difference.
When i cleaned the slide on my 19x foe the first time today, the cleaner I used (local brand, super high quality stuff that works better than anything I've used before) leaves a weird residue on the slide. Do you ever find that happens with the Shooter Lube? I had to go over the whole slide with Strike Antivenom XPLC and it made everything the same hue of gold, but feels weird having to do that to such a nice nPVD coating! Would love to hear your experience.
No, I haven't had that problem with shooter lube at all. It is water based and doesn't leave any kind of residue on it. It is currently my favorite solvent.
The exterior is lubricated for function. I don't coat the inside of the barrel unless it is being put into long-term storage. Then I use ballistol. When you do take it out of storage, be sure to clean out the barrel. But if it's not being put into long-term storage, coating the inside of the barrel will attract dirt and dust to build up. You don't want any obstructions inside the barrel.
You can take off the back of the slide and clean out the striker assembly. This is a basics of cleaning video for beginners. More in depth cleaning will be shown in a different video.

Where did you get all the tools you’re using to clean, such as the jag? And do they come in a kit together or individually?
I buy everything individually. Like the jags come in a kit of several sizes, but all of this stuff is not included in one kit

do u use anything to coat the barrel after cleaning ?
The exterior is lubricated for function. I don't coat the inside of the barrel unless it is being put into long-term storage. Then I use ballistol. When you do take it out of storage, be sure to clean out the barrel. But if it's not being put into long-term storage, coating the inside of the barrel will attract dirt and dust to build up. What did you spray on it at first in the beginning?
The cleaner I used is called Shooter Lube
Thank you
Spraying the back end of the slide and potentially getting ANY solvent/lube in to the striker assemble is NOT the way.
You can take off the back of the slide and clean out the striker assembly. This is a basics of cleaning video for beginners. More in depth cleaning will be shown in a different video.
