@@reverendguns Yea I don't know why the main spring doesn't work with the Pro. After installing, every time I pulled the trigger the hooked/curved end of the spring slipped off and then the piece that it hooked on to would fall off. I reinstalled and tried again like 5 times and it did it every time. Finally just put the stock main spring back on and it works perfect. Maybe it's not curved quite enough to hold on to it...? And concerning the longer firing pin, I did hear about that and been thinking about putting one on just because. Prob should try it at the range first but if I put on the longer one I would definitely try the 12# spring. Watched your vid on the installation and your instructions are great. Thanks!

Firing pin could be worn out. Hammer spring might be weak. Under powered loaded ammo.

I use ballistol as a preservative oil for long-term storage. I don't think it's a very good cleaner, and it's definitely not a good lubricant.

I don't tend to lube the stuff under the plate. You can use gun grease, but I would recommend polishing the internal parts instead. Firing often will break in those parts and make it function smoother

@@reverendguns Very good sir, Thank you for the advise. I'll be working on a SW 629. I did order the Wilson spring kit and the firing pin just like the one you are using. It will be mostly a range gun shot in single action mode for the most part. Once again, thank you for your informative videos.

22LR is prone to jamming every now and then. I would make sure everything is clean and lubed. Is the spring in the mag too weak? If it jams with every mag, I would try different ammo.

Any gun solvent will work. I'm not a fan of CLP (cleaner lubricant protectant) and I personally prefer a water based solvent. Try em out and see what you like best. I will be coming out with my own brand soon.

No, it will fire with the magazine removed

@@reverendguns It must be a 9mm.... The 380 chambered models have a mag safety. My question is,...why does Walther think 9mm users do not need protection ? Very important to announce what caliber your weapon is.

@thefleaflop a lot of pistols don't have the magazine disconnect unless it was developed to be California Compliant. The Walther CCP in the video is the first version with a key to remove the slide. Whether it's chambered in 9mm or 380 is irrelevant. The process is the same. I have not had the chance to inspect the newer M2 version. It could possibly have the magazine disconnect, but I haven't verified it yet. In my opinion, there is a tactical advantage to not having the magazine disconnect safety. You can keep one in the chamber, and while doing a tactical/combat reload, you have one shot you can get off if a threat arises while reloading. The magazine disconnect mechanism hinders that advantage and is considered when I purchase a firearm. Especially if it's one that will be my every day carry.

I would like to respectfully disagree... We aren't talking about when the pistols were made or if that feature, ( if you want to call it that) is a tactical advantage or not.... What we were talking about is that your postal CAN, and Will fire with the mag removed. P.e.r.i.o.d. my mistake was assuming your video pistol was chambered same as mine,.... it is not. The reason I know that is, according to Walther, only the 380 chambered version of this model have the mag safety... What I need to know now is why????? Why would walther neglect the safety of 9mm shooters in favor of 380 shooters..... If you consider it a safety feature, that is what they are doing... For those asking why they would create a feature like that in the first place. Back in the day when semi autos first came out, manufactures thought it a good idea for law enforcement. Many times a suspect would attempt to gain access to the arresting officers weapon and a struggle for the weapon would happen. Pistol companies thought if the officer could release the mag during the battle, the officer could avoid being shot by his own gun....

​@@reverendgunsit would have to be a piece that clips into the existing magwell that then allows the ar10 mags to fit into the gun.i don't know if the geometry of the rifle would allow it but theres gotta be a way to make it work. I bet a 3d printer guru would be able to make it work. A product that works reliably would sell great 👍

All u really need is a 3d printed ar10 magwell with the top being the same as the original mag baseplate so its a clip on magwell that uses yhe same mag release the ar uses. U could probably make it in a 3d printer so easily by just sticking the magwell to the baseplate making it 1 piece. Or a less sexy way would be to cut an 80% polymer lower to glue the magwell to the baseplate just like you did the mag. Oh shit that might be the way !
