Same here, I took the the gunsmith and they removed for free. Installing the red dot was easy.

You have to force the hole in the spring against the frame for the pin to slide through. I was using the punch to get leverage.

Thread lock was discussed in the video and in the comments section. If you feel it necessary to use a torque wrench, then use it. I wouldn't torque it any more than 15-20 inch lbs.

I love it! I've put about 1000 rounds through it, and I haven't had one issue with it yet. I use this gun for my own certifications that requires I use a revolver. It is very accurate and I can consistently do a 2 inch or less grouping at 15 yards.

@reverendguns Nice...I would love to add a red dot to my carry revolver...does the mount and red dot add much to it? Do you know how this mount compares to that new Taurus revolver with the red dot mount?

I recommend using a thread lock. I use blue or purple.

I browsed rmr sights for a few minutes, and I found these 3... Suoelag Micro Red Dot Sight 54.99 Ul2 Red Dot Sight 1x22mm 3 MOA 59.99 EZshoot Red Dot Motion Awake Optic for Pistols 69.99 I have not personally tried these, but they would be ones I would try. RMR is a pretty standard pattern, so they will attach to the base plate in the video. Let us know what you end up buying and how well if works!

I wouldn't use simple green. They have better solvents for cleaning guns

​@reverendguns let me suggest a detent tool called a blackhead remover. You can also use a cotter pin. The eye or loop of the cotter pin will hold the detention cap in place. Great video, thanks for sharing

@@reverendguns Yea I don't know why the main spring doesn't work with the Pro. After installing, every time I pulled the trigger the hooked/curved end of the spring slipped off and then the piece that it hooked on to would fall off. I reinstalled and tried again like 5 times and it did it every time. Finally just put the stock main spring back on and it works perfect. Maybe it's not curved quite enough to hold on to it...? And concerning the longer firing pin, I did hear about that and been thinking about putting one on just because. Prob should try it at the range first but if I put on the longer one I would definitely try the 12# spring. Watched your vid on the installation and your instructions are great. Thanks!

Firing pin could be worn out. Hammer spring might be weak. Under powered loaded ammo.
