- Kang The Conqueror was meant to be Marvels next big bad guy but it fell flat on its face. Why is this? What happened? Today I go over the problem with Kang The Conqueror.

Remember this was a Kang so powerful that the other Kangs had to banish him lol
Well the cop out they gave him was that he didn't have all his tech 😂🤣😂🤣
Not anymore! Hahaha! 😂
I don't think they said that's why they banished him.
They show the council of Kangs at the end, so it's better to assume he didn't play nice with them or follow their rules
@kylespevak6781 could have been ridiculously weaker too
They were probably just hazing him.
They really had us hyped for kang for the entire phase only for him to be completely destroyed in his 1st appearance IN AN ANTMAN MOVIE. This is like if Thanos showed up in GOTG and got beaten by starlord dancing.
Exactly
honestly I rather enjoy seeing thanos getting beaten in a dance duell by starlord
@@jojobrugi13 In his next movie, Thanos loses a rap battle to Miles Morales.
Didn't learn a thing from battling Oppenheimer, apparently.
Politics for you (if you know you)...
@@MrFearDiarkis It's called shit writers not politics
Power scalers putting those ants at a multiversal level for chewing on kang's tech:
I don't think the writers understand how big an universe actually is and how strong someone would need to be to be capable of destroying a single one, let alone multiple
Their power scaling means nothing after Endgame. Should just focus on contained character driven threats
the multiverse was a mistake, they clearly dont know how to write around reality erasing powers
The High Evolutionary is a great villain because he feels threatening without being OP. You get the character conflict and danger without trying to make him Thanos-level.
There’s been a lot of world ending movies after Endgame that the stakes are feeling kinda dull and lame. Which was a huge shock when Thanos actually won.
The Problem With Kang The Conqueror ❌
The Problem with Marvel Writers ✅
I will never forget how the dirty they did my boy Vision in Infinity War. You telling me that one of the most powerful Avengers and Ultron's perfect vessel got one shotted by one of Thanos's random lieutenants? And I don't care if that it was a surprise feat, that same lieutenant got clowned on by Steve, Sam and Natasha. Like MCU writers are incompetent when it comes to certain Heroes and Villains
I feel like if Kang actually killed some the protagonists like Ant Man. Then it would have solidified him as the next big bad thing like Thanos in IW. But oh well
I mean the actor got arrested or something so I doubt it was possible either way😭
@@bestisbest6581 Change actors. MCU isn't new to this anyway.
@@ShadeSlayer1911 true but with ant man 3 not being a success I don't see the point of then continuing that storyline
Kang was no match for his actor's assault charges.
🤣🤣 true
This.
dread it, run from it… the court date still arrives.
Replace the actor and keep the character❌️
Fire the actor and remove the character altogether✅
My man beat them though
I was so pissed when I first saw the last fight, I legit thought Marvel was gonna be unique and let Scott and Hope get trapped in the quantum realm. It would’ve been a great way to make Kang look even more menacing, watching him escape, leaving the heroes trapped and leaving us guessing until they found a way out in the next Avengers.
It rly felt like Kang lost “because plot,” and his acting was my favorite part of the movie so that rly sucked :/
"claims to have beaten the avengers" gets beaten by one of the weakest avengers who isnt even really an avenger
To be fair, Ant-Man is actually one of the toughest Avengers now.
Yeah but it was probably a shitty Avengers team. All the variants taught us are the the original cast is always superior and the variants exist only to be killed off or cameos for other big actors. Usually both
@ that makes sense
Kang suffers from a disease called Plot Induced Stupidity. It's very dangerous and highly contagious to powerful villains and heroes alike
Okay here’s the thing that you’re forgetting, the movie did some quantum realm bullshit and those ants were like thousands of years old ants that achieved enlightenment and made tech. Now personally that doesn’t really make it any less humiliating on Kang’s Part but credit where credit is due, they at least were not ordinary ants
The best part of a superpower is seeing the creative ways you can get around its limitations. As you said, if he can just freely use telekinesis then why isn't he just using it to solve all his problems?
I could beat a bunch of dog-size ants with just the flying disk and an ordinary Earth rifle.
This is why I'm really not a fan of reality warping or all-powerful powers. Limitations make powers interesting.
Kang the Conquered
Kang get conquered
I was so hyped for Kang... He was supposed to be a goat but his tech wasn't even as good as a cheap dollar store can of Raid... Marvel did him so dirty
It would have been 100× better if they were running away from him destroying his chair and got out of the quantum world with maybe Hank dying
This means Ants can destroy worlds too
Wow I forgot kang exist crazy how it's been two years since that movie came out
Oh it’s the ant man movie that came out I don’t think I watched it and was confused by the video somewhat but they making bro look lame
the ants were able to take him away and disable his suit(making him powerless) because of modok
>is supposed to be really powerful, destroys stuff or something like that
>still has to poop
They didn't even try.
"How do you write a movie?" - Jeff Loveness
Hank emphasized that they had become Type II civilization ants
Yeahhhhh.. It was pretty bad.. You can't write a super-powerful villain and have him defeated so easily, not without introducing an even more absurdly powerful hero. Marvel needs to get their shit together asap.
His biggest enemy was the plot
The problem with Kang the Assaulter
Cyclops would body the MCU version of Kang
In the original there was a scene where Kang destroyed all those ants but they cut it out because it was to violent and dark so they left it up to your imagination.Remember Kang comes back in the end to fight Ant-man.
Considering in the movies he didn’t have any real powers just a lot of tech he would not have been an avengers level threat
Tony Stark is not a threat either then
@ no no no he is a massive threat just not again all 6 of them at once
@@IluminousOne-9.7.2 tony stark doesn't lose to a bunch of ants.
It took the whole Consul of Kangs to just barely beat him(that’s why he was exiled), he can destroy universes and timelines, he has telekinesis that somehow works on plasma, can instantly vaporize you, make a force field around himself, control time, and the only reason he lost was him being weakened while in the quantum realm and The Ant Fam having the most ridiculous plot armor I’ve ever seen. Outside the quantum realm, he most definitely could be an Avengers level threat if the writing is good.
@ Have you ever seen him fight ants? If not then don't assume he'd win with them *(I mean of course he would win)*
0:40 he’s also ripped and can squab
Dude, giant ants really scary shit, and they definitely strong af.
Not like it means they are strong to dealt with this guy. But if they flooded NY instead of Chitauri, things would be messed up
0:11 but he uuh is black..i mean got taken down by ants
You will also have to watch Loki season 1 and 2, there is more of Kang story there, this Kang in antmant is just a variant, there are other version like victor timely, he who remains etc, but the actor also had legal battles in real life so they really had to end his character
THANK YOU! People who complain about this Kang just don't understand the character
@@kylespevak6781 we understand that he lost to ants
MCU bad plot after endgame exists in every Marvel film. They let me feel that they hired a 15 years-old kid to write the plot, the plot hole is too obvious and unacceptable
Counter point, those are really smart ants
Avengers earth mightiest hero’s kang was written well.
El verdadero kang
That show was mainly helmed and written by comic book writers who are up fans of the characters. Meanwhile the movies would rather hire activists instead of writers
The actor that plays kang does such a fantastic job, shame Disney owns marvel
You still need to remember... Kang is still only a human that is smart. He's just like a future stark with a suit.
You have to understand that in quantum Ralm maybe his powers are limited , either because it is in the quantum ralm or maybe he doesn’t have the exact same equipment he needs, he obviously can’t just control time in there like he can in normal world.
i’ve probably only watched like half of the marvel shit to come out after endgame and this is why
There were a few good moments in the movie. Hank Pym just walking in with his army of giant ants like he's the coolest guy in the world was one. And the Army of ant men multiples climbing all working together, able to focus because of their shared love of their daughter, that was great. Also the way they built a ladder out of their bodies like actual ants can do, that was good. Also, Ant-Man taking down much more powerful foes is kinda the theme of Ant-Man, admitting he probably should have lost to Kang Lol. I did find the movie almost impossible to watch because Tron like effects that kept attacking my old man eyes😬
4:04 do y'all remember the monologue joke from The Incredibles?
I feel like if the whole movie Kang was only talked about in whispers, and the actual enemy is Modok (and not the goofy one they had in the movie), then shows up in the After Credits scene because he actually snuck out of the quantum realm with the heroes somehow, or gained the ability to leave, because of the heroes, that would have been a much better buildup. But I suppose the marketing said Kang would be the villain, so they had to make him the primary villain.
I’m glad Kang is not the direction we are going in the MCU. His character was lame and the actor is a monster.
Kang the Liar. I call BS that this chump took out any avenger.
BRO WE NEED A CHRONICE VID PLSS. W VID BTW
I'm thinking about it
We need some videos on Nightwing and Star Wars! 🗣️
This movie was booty cheeks and so damn disappointing...
I agree man
I was never a Johnathan Majors fan nor a fan of Kang so losing both at once really isn't much of an issue for me. It was the needless forcing of the multiverse and the idea of Variants. Now with RDJ Doom the MCU feels so directionless and grasping at straws. We didn't realize how good we all had it back in the spring of 2019
It's not really a problem with Kang as a character, it's a problem with the writers. They chose to debut him as the main villain in an Ant-man movie.
The only way that could've worked is if Kang won at the end, which obviously didn't happen.
To be a little fair, comparing telekinesis from widely different series with writers that have different views on it is a bit unfair.
I remember getting out the movie theatre pissed
same man
They said 500 years advance Ant not a regular Ant.
I can't blame Kang. I'm usually calm & collected in the ring. However, cockroaches bring out my demons.
Kang is weak as hell
Yet y'all glaze doctor doom who GOT COOKED BY 4 WEAK ASS HEROS TWICE EVEN WHEN HE HAD THE SILVER SURFBOARD IN THE SECOND ONE
Love the vids man you got a new subscriber
They disrespected that character so bad
As everybody has said already he was hyped in Loki which was great. I don't know all the versions of Kang but the Conqueror i was like ok we bout to get into some nasty business. I thought we were going to see him fight in Loki S2. Didn't see that but then they announced him in A3. Should've absolutely washed them in the Quantum world. Hope and Scott severely injured, Hank and Janet die, and Cassie taken prisoner as he leaves the Quantum world but nope cookie cutter movie in the end. I don't even mind the ants because they can be used to throw people off but he shouldn't have lost. EMH Kang and comics Kang are still superior. I hate this movie but Jonathan was the stand out with what he was given.
Kang literally lost on purpose you can see it in the fight scene.
by beating the avengers he meant black widow
i played against a guy and his cross hair was so big you coulndt doge his attack
Kang vs the ants would have been so much easier to accept if they'd bothered to give the ants actual designs instead of just making them a bunch of boring regular ants. Even just referencing the ants from Antman 1 could have worked, or they could have even used them to set up Annihilus, if the higher ups approved
But actually now that I think about it, reusing the Antman 1 ants would have been perfect. Brings the trilogy full circle with a nice little bow on top and lets Kang actually pop off without risking any actual characters. Like I could totally see them making each species counter part of Kang's arsenal, in their supposedly incredibly evolved forms.
- Bullet ants could have sprayed acid instead of stinging to eat away at Kang's defenses
- Fire ants could have wrapped around him to pin him so he can't throw them off with telekinesis or forcefields
- Crazy ants could have absorbed energy technology like his disintegration beams
- Carpenter ants could have grounded him if he tried to fly up to recover
Chronicle mentioned 🔥🔥🔥🔥
They killed KANG in a antman movie
Feels like the trope of a plot being rushed because the writer is burned out and has a quota to fill.
Very Nice 💜
I wish ppl would stop saying this ... The ants didn't beat him. Plus let's stop acting like they were normal fuckin ants. Modok screwed him over, plus this Kang was still nerfed technically.
EXACTLY these mfs need to stay on the short bus and get off mom's phone
Remember EMH where in order to defeat Kang, they created Ultron?
Dr doom pull up
Didn't squirrel girl beat thanos and doom with squirrels?
They don't talk about that because they meat ride tf out of doom regardless he got beat by the fantastic 4 twice but heaven forbid kang gets knocked over by ants (that carry ten times their weight) and gets killed by his own tech
El verdadero kang the conqueror es el earth might heroes
So why didn’t he
Me the whole video:plot
Early to another banger bad boys video
Same thing with slasher/monster movies. Baddie slaughters everyone easily but just tosses the hero around for a while. Still, they didn’t do him as dirty as High Evolutionary. 😂
Or in scream where every scream character gets beat by the same idiot girl
Hey man Ants are the best bug
Kang was a disappointment 😞 😔
Its simple. Writers lack imagination these days. They don't understand scale or how to communicate it. The Universe is mind boggling in size. Its almost beyond human comprehension to wrap your head around. When you have a character that is universe level, you have to build up to that character by showing lesser scaled measurements that are considered huge. Example. A lifting a semitruck is big, but lifting a mountian is bigger, and then a character lifting a freaking Island or small planet or something. When you nerf universe level characters like this, all it does is nerf the entire grandness of your entire universe.
W Chronicles mention
I hate to say it but after ant man 2 scores stories were finished. Paul Rudd can be a serious actor but marvel killed that with every single one of his appearances and to make your big bad go out by the minorest of avengers was stupid
This is the video that truly stopped me watching that garbage. Thanks!
Chronicle is one of the best "superhero" movies ever.
Kang in loki was even better
The actual answer, because plot.
XD
WE WUZ KANGZ N SHIEEET
They did him dirty
Formidable..
shout out to all the kangs
Dude his nose was too big
And Darth Sidious got beaten by a 1 handed cyborg, and Sauron got beaten by a hobbit, and Voldemort got beat by a 17 year old, and Smaug got his ass handed to him by 1 man with a black arrow, and don't get me started on the super OP villains that got their asses handed to them by 1 man in a bat costume.
And so what if it's hard to believe? This is the MCU we're talking about, belivibility doesn't come into it. So what if there's no explanation we the audience are told for the "Why didn't he" stuff? Use your imagination there could be any number of explanations.
These are movies based on comic books which were originally meant for pre-pubescent children to read, and you think what? That they're meant to be taken seriously? You don't like them, fine. But what? You care more about epic clashes between titans than about stories of the love of parents, the love of children, the love of friendship, the love of teams, the love of humanity in general? Well okay no-one's stopping you from buying tickets to a boxing match if you prefer that to watching movies about heroes and villains who live in laughably unrealistic scenarios.
Someone's never seen the Antz movie
But you don't understand, those ants where communists or something like that. That's why they where so powerfull.
Kang was supposed to have an unconventional REVENGE arch.
However, MCU DIDN’T continue the story (like #SnyderVerse).
oof that was a painful movie.
Bro what is this movie they made a new ant man ?
The problem with kang.. and with just Disney in general. Is the army of sad little edgelords making endless UA-cam videos about how they know so much more then everyone else.
Yea, this was horrible.
The scenes that were shown didnt take place in the Quantum Realm so being down there actually leveled the playing field for The Antvengers lol and please stop acting like these were just run of the mill ants. They literally advanced thousands of years on their inital entrance into the Quantum Realm kinda disingenuous to not include that scene or even mention it. They clearly knew how to break through Kangs force field because of their time jump.
Those were communist ants, so they are much better than regular ants, I guess.
I hated Kang in Children's Crusade ((Let's time travel this, travel tha- Shut up!.) Yes, I know it's Ironlad, but it's still Kang), and MCU Kang is ass cheeks. Antz? Like a Bugs Life ended you, with your powers to retcon shit? What a sorry ass villain😞They build up villians; *MEANWHILE*, treat em like goons. For example, Ultron.... was getting choked by Capt, how? Bum ass writing.
Yup he was an L in this movie
Rip Johnathan mayors role as kang. Also just another marvel character nerfed and ruined by mcu lol. Maybe Dr doom will get beat by some worms or some shit, idk lol 😂
Im willing to bet the biggest problem with this character won't be covered in this video
Which is?
@@LuisPerez-5not having ur next phase villain in a movie like this especially if ur just gonna have him be beat
@AtomicOwl That's what the multiverse was for. Ant man beat ONE Kang and by the looks of it, not the strongest.
@@LuisPerez-5 But hear me out right, having a Kang be beaten by these characters kind of lessons his character, Thanos works cuz he's built up through the movies as this force in the background
@AtomicOwl And Kang isn't? Like this force that even if you defeat, he will still come back.
