He obtained these connections and positions directly at the request of Thiel. When Steve Case was asked... "Would you vote for him if you were in Ohio? Do you want him to win?" His answer, "I will not comment on politics so I can stay focused on policy." additionally, he mentioned that when working for Case and returning to Ohio, he ... continued for some number of months, remotely, but he wasn’t really working that much [for Rise of the Rest] and he decided he wanted to do his own thing in Ohio… Anyway, in my humble opinion, I don't want Peter Theil running the country.
