I made something like that couple of years ago with shackles and chain from B&Q £12 plus another thing you can do is when you turn the drivers seat around padlock it in place. But you can only do so much in a van with plastic windows and sky lights 😊
@@travelswithbilbo7526 someone else said they’d made the plates themselves and done the same as you. Seen Dick Strawbridge bung a cable bike lock on the seat to lock it the wrong way around. We have other things. This one’s mainly to hopefully cause noise and a delay when we are in the van. But like you say the windows are a weak point.
Looks like you're getting everything ticked off your pre-trip check list ✌️. You're right, hopefully never actually needed, but always good to have extra deterrents.
We’ve been to Europe a few times and all over the uk. Never had a problem so don’t worry too much. This is because we are away for 4 months. If you check out our campervan essentials vlog you’ll see a really good foot pedal lock
@@grapesodatravelsnot sad at all just careful! Best thing because you can remove from inside if you do need to move your van (we’ve not had a problem in 5 years) x
Ha ha I did t want her wrecking the door to see how much it’d take. Looks solid mind but I’m not breaking the van to test how solid. Plus she’d have knackered handle before she got in.

The simple solutions are always the best ones. 👍

I got a tip from a fellow motor homer…. You can fit a never ending strap between the 2 door armrest which works really well 👍🍻
@@Flossy_tops we don’t have a gap to fit one, there’s no hole otherwise we would have used a rachet strap. I think that’s what you mean?

Fingers crossed none of us will need these additional things - its a just in case to hopefully stop doors getting ragged open when in bed x

Reckon Steve could knock out similar products as a side hustle as long they aren’t the same patent
Great simple idea, even Debz could fit that 🙂
@@tylerstravels0610 she’d have looked more glamorous than us fitting it
Great stuff. We've just arranged our first camper and I'm paranoid about getting broken in to. Food for thought... N&Nx
