Excellent video. Doing it today, as he says and shows it is an easy job, I've done a few ages ago, I just watched to check I had all I needed in the way of parts and tools, got my kit from Hamilton Gas Products, all genuine stuff and cheaper than anywhere else too.
Chris, Sorry for the delayed reply. We filled the gas bottles up and then with a small brush and some soapy water just brushed all the joints to look for bubbles. All the best.
If you are travelling on the Continent and are concerned about running out of gas, just purchase a Camping Gaz cylinder. I was only charged refill, but maybe the camp shop didn’t notice I had not returned an empty. There was a mountain of empties outside.
This wagon is our only home, we’ve been travelling full time for over 5yrs across over 27 countries, plus 4 Greek islands, inc uk, Europe and Turkiye… so far for us, our gaslow system has hands down worked best for our family 👍
excellent video i'am thinking of fitting the gaslow system but can only fit one bottle in so it will be the 11kg one, looking to buy a second hand one if i can find one, there is a few on facebook but to far away from me, i live up in cumbria, it looks easy to fit.
It really is as easy as it looks, the worst bit is cutting a big hole in the side of your van. Good luck finding what you need. It is a much cheaper and easier in the long run than calor bottles.
Hello, I’ve just had a look for a link but cannot seem to find one. We bought it direct from Gaslow over the phone. I’m sure if you speak with them they will be able to help you out. If you have any issues let us know and I’ll see if I can dig out the paperwork for a part number for you. All the best
Hey, great video! Nice job. One thing I'm confused about is the second outlet. The motorhome system regulator is in one outlet and the other sits there with an adaptor. Do you need to swap the the moho regulator from one gaslow bottle to the next or do the 2 bottles drain simultaneously? If so why did you need two outlet adaptors? Thanks in advance if you answer. Dean
Dean, We chose to have the system so we had to swap the Moho regulator from bottle to bottle. We did not want them to drain simultaneously. By choosing this way we are aware once we swap bottles manually we have 1 bottle left before filling up, if they drain simultaneously we were worried we would run out without warning. The system we have also allows us to grab a separate bottle from whatever country we are in (we have adapters) if we cannot get lpg for any reason. Hope this answers your question? All the best Martin and Kate
Considering caravan life in a few weeks, and wondering this, could you have interconeccted the outlets as well, as that would mitigate switching bottles, im in europe, so we have the duo connect systems, that will switch without you needing to, but wondering if i should get a fix lpg solution as well..
Hello, Yes we see no reason why you could not pair up the out feed of the bottles, we chose not to so we get a good warning before the bottles are empty, if they were paired you would get no warning. We like the fact we can use our refillable and if needed use a 3rd bottle from where ever we happen to be. All the best
Have to agree it looks like plenty of room but the internal height of the locker won’t fit the 11kgs. Luckily our van only uses gas for the cooker. Heating and hot water is all diesel fired so 2 x6kg lasts us 3 months👍
Hello, yes from a usability point of view it’s fine. We are aware of some garages in the uk turning people away if they are opening a locker to fill the bottles direct so just need discretion on the forecourt 😜
I have bought a motorhome with a 6kg Gaslow bottle but it's nearly empty ...I have no Exterior filler can I fill at LPG garage ? Gas low sold me a direct fill adapter ...sorry no knowledge of gas ⛽
From what we’ve heard the garages are not keen on letting you fill gas bottles if you have to open a locker or cupboard to be able to fill. I think if you are discrete enough about it when you pull up they may authorise the pump for you. As we’d heard about issues with internal fill points an external one was a must for us. 👍
@@VanJourney thanks seems good advice .The gaslow company when I telephoned them said it would be ok but I will look around see where I can get external one fitted locally if possible ..don't feel confident to do DIY on this
100%, we gave our original bottles to our then neighbour to help them out. We’re told Calor is doing a number on the lpg pumps, with its contracts and removing availability. Glad our gas is solely for the cooker and lasts us. We reckon all diesel is the way forward right now, back to how our 4x4 Sprinter was kitted out 👍
Just bought a 6kg Direct Gaslow Cylinder it arrives Wednesday from the same company thanks sir awesome video SPOT ON!
Glad to help, it’s worked great for us… cheers for your kind words 👍

probs too late now but if you have a gauge - or just top up regularly one doesn't need to drive a second bottle around with you surely?
hi. can you link to where you bought regulator adaptor please?

Good move keeping the calor bottle, but my question why didn't you go for the 11kg bottles it look like you have plenty of room.

I have the same single bottle but 11kg. I intend to refill direct onto the bottle rather have an external fill point. Do you think that would be OK?

Good video but the music was to loud compared to voice.
Thank you - appreciate the feedback 👍
Do you want to sell your old 6kg Calor Bottle by any chance?
Hey… it’s already gone. reckon there’s a seriously short supply of them knocking around?! we hope you find one real soon 🍀
@@VanJourney Ah well - it was worth a try. Thank you anyway. Take care.
100% … and we hope you hunt one down soon 👍
6 kilo bottles....gold dust.

Dont really need to watch yu emptying a box mate. Lol
Don’t watch it then 👍
