Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more

Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more

Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

@@StarlifeStudiosAverage train station in edinburgh mate ain’t gonna lie, there was like a BK and a McD at a station before lol..
Brilliant station for filming ECML stuff, nice one 👌🏻
Shame the trees have grown blocking the curves! Thanks DP 👍🏻
@@StarlifeStudiosaye I was quite shocked to see how much they’ve grown!
Hello Starlife, there is this station which I take trains to places, the station is called, Wandsworth Road, I was wondering to ask if you could maybe make a video about Overground and Southeastern trains there one time there that would be fantastic if you can (at some Times in the day there are Thameslink and Southern trains that pass at times.)
Cool video Starlife as always :)
Thanks London Transport Enthusiast! 😄
Stunning captures as usual Ross! Looks like a lovely little station with some awesome variety! Really enjoyed this as always! 😊
Thank you so much! I’ve been looking to come here for a few years and part of me wishes I’d have come here before the LNER HSTs disappeared but still now rather than never! 😃👍🏻
@@StarlifeStudios No worries at all! It was a great video. I see what your saying those LNER HSTs would have made it even better!🙂
Great video and fantastic place to film the long straight up the hill and the curve at the other end brilliant 👍
Prestonpans railway station is a railway station serving the town of Prestonpans, East Lothian, Scotland. It is located on the North Berwick Line, 9.75 miles east of Edinburgh Waverley. It serves the town of Cockenzie and Port Seton, 1.37 miles away.
Why do you have to share a Wiki..? Completely unnecessary when people knows it does what it does. In fact, You stalk this channel and paste relevant Wiki’s. Get a life.
Great video
Great selection off trains in Scotland nice looking views from the station too am a new sub
Thanks for the sub and I'm glad you enjoyed! 😃
Very nice :)
Well done
I love the train combinations. I wish i will visit there.
Yes I think I was 3rd person here!😀😀😀😀
Great video Ross. Nice shot of 561 and 801226 in Trainbow livery at the end. Can you do trains at Pitsea cause C2C 720s had entered service
Interesting, there hasn’t been much fanfare around them entering service but since leaf fall season has started, I’ll look into it! 😃
I might need to head down there in the near future👀
That was a standard traffic day at Prestonpans with the class 66 being the exception.
Yep! I'm glad I went, the views here are awesome 😀
Hey you’re in Scotland! I can’t thank you enough for coming back!
This video is the start of an 8 video series so there are many more too! 😃 Thanks for your support!
Yay, I’m excited for the rest of them@@StarlifeStudios
I managed to get into the video only 47 seconds from when it was uploaded:)
Thanks for your support Trains 806 UK :)
Nice.
Thanks! 😃
Interesting that the class 802 tpe train at 3:30 was running on diesel i wonfer why?
All TPE 802s run on diesel between Newcastle and Edinburgh due to the Overhead Line Power Supplies not being suitable for any extra trains other than LNER units. Crazy really..
@@StarlifeStudios Yeah like what does that even mean? Did TPE not pay their electric bills or something? Haha. Also both LNER and TPE are run by the government now so I don't get why they haven't solved this problem yet if they own both operators now. Makes no sense.
I’ve read about this recently, the Sub Stations between Edinburgh and Newcastle are not able to support any more electric trains so even if they are capable of using the overhead wires.. they can’t! You can read about it here - www.scotsman.com/news/transport/edinburgh-newcastle-line-power-shortage-could-slow-transpennine-express-trains-3501812
Happy October starlife have a beautiful and amazing Halloween ❤🎉🎃
Thanks Trainsrock! You too 😃👍🏻
Prestonpans is a lovely town in Scotland. I’ve been there as my Nanna is being buried there and she came from Prestonpans. The railway station is also very nice. Are you going to do Reston that is opened and East Linton once the new station is completed.
I've never heard of or seen a class 380!🤔
They are mechanically identical to the Class 350 but with some different exterior details. Personally, I quite like them! 😄
Operating on the east coast mainline since around 2011
Very pleasant to ride on
Yeah, I've seen 350s before at euston, that the one your talking about?
I know prestonpans because it is near where trains turn off of the Elmo and towards north Berwick
I ment ecml
Hey what camera do you use?
Hey Starlife! What camera do you use? and is the microphone built in or do i need to buy it?Because im starting my trainspotting career, so i would like to know 😊❤️
How could a train be 1 hour early?
Do Chatam next
Can someone tell me please what company is lumo because I don't live in the UK and I like UK trains ❤ please
Lumo is owned by First Group UK. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
They are a First express company and I mean, express. They run from Scotland to LKC only stopping at Newcastle (and York I think). They look interesting tbh. By the way, First is a REALLY slow company and I mean, slow. Their service sucks here in Worcester and most of the UK. But Lumo may be an exception. I’ll try them when I get the chance.
Do Birmingham New Street on the west Midlands Platforms
Starlife had been to Birmingham New Street
@@maimadha
Yes but on the Avanti Platforms.
I can confirm Birmingham New Street has been recorded and will be published soon - within the next 4 videos.
@@StarlifeStudios
From the west Midlands Platforms?
@yui4779 All platforms
Guys, remember: if you ever feel useless, just remember Lumo exists.
Why is it useless?
Lumo is a great operator wdym
You should do trains at brighton
Hello Fearnot, I have looked at Brighton before but the platforms are just long enough to fit the Class 700s and this poses a problem when filming adjacent platforms. At the moment, I'm not considering this station but will keep it on review if something changes. Thanks.
