Never fails to amaze me how much a cut and scarify instantly improves lawn like that.

I carried out a lawn restoration on my front lawn after we moved in before Xmas and as spring kicked in realised it had been badly maintained. It was full of moss and weeds. I followed all the steps in your videos less the roller (which I did by walking on instead as rollers aren’t cheap for 1 use). And the lawn looks amazing now. All the neighbours are now buying scarifiers and going over their lawns. Thank you for these great informative videos.

All of my customers lawns are crappy but most of my customers are old and wanted a gardener and not a lawn. They don't have the money to spend out, but I do what I can with my Screwfix scarifier which is actually very good for the price. 👍

If you haven't already, are you able to do a video showing certain pests like the types of grubs that you need to keep an eye out for, how to check for them, and other issues that you should look out for as early signs of a problem? As well as how to address and treat each pest or problem. You could get affiliate links for products so people can buy the products you recommend. I could see the algorithm showing your video to anyone searching in Google and UA-cam on 'how to stop pests/disease in my grass' and be a long term popular video that's helpful for many years to come.
I think it could make a great video like 'How to identify pests and problems that may destroy your grass early on'.

Thanks for all you videos last Spring 2023 in NZ I followed your lawn scarify and aerate top-dressed and reseed and wow wow wow. going into end of summer here my lawns are green and lush with cutting x 2 weekly they are so firm and tight... Question should I repeat last spring process or my thinking a light scarify, overseed bare area and a light topdressing. ( brought a landzie, not cheap but easy application) Thanks Warren NZ. good Luck with your camper

    • @LawnRight

Hi yes.. It can be done by hand. Either grab a handful between both hands and rub hands together, or dump piles every couple of metres and rake or brush it about.. Just be careful this 2nd way if it's on bare soil as it can move seeds best to sprinkle between hands on bare stuff

Hi you can definitely mow it but just go very steady and only take the tops off.. also maybe hold out a few more days.. in an ideal world we would have the new stuff looking pretty good too..I always try and wait at least 2 weeks after its come up

This is an expensive repair job because it is labor and time intensive. All of the damage to the lawn could have been prevented if the owners had treated for grubs at the appropriate time in the spring.
