As a former Audi owner, the quality and performance is not only comparable to BMW, Audi and Mercedes, the Germans in fact need to catch up. The fit and finish is better and tighter, material choices are superior, the auto 8 speed is magnificent and that price.... I bought the Stinger, love it!!
@Harry Fishnuts I agree. I like things simple. I don't need digital dash. For what? When I'm parked? When I'm driving, I don't want distractions from a digital dash. I find something funny with BMW. You wave your finger to lower or raise the volume to the radio, yet your left hand is on the steering wheel next to the volume button.
Hyundai and kia today is not the same as it was 10 years ago. And the fact people hold onto that old reputation is a shame. From the telluride/palisade to the Stinger/Genesis (although kia do have a luxury sedan line too) these cars are amazing value. And some of the safest on the market.
I really like Genesis because of the equipment they have for the value. One thing I give kudos to them for is coming out with sedans first, as a certain amount of people still prefer sedans and wagons because of their better driving dynamics and fuel economy. I find the G70's looks less exclusive and daring than those of the Stinger or a 3-Series, but still, it looks good and premium and has a very well-appointed interior, and this is a great car in general. Because of the cramped rear seats, I look forward for the G80 to come out. It will certainly be an awesome car. Also, thank you for your review. It's been 6 years since I started to watch them and they're always great!
Minor correction: actually the G90 is the first new vehicle under the Genesis brand. While the G90 and the Equus occupy the same space in the market and the G90 replaced the Equus, they are not the same thing, nor are they based on the same platform.
Hey I really like the car and glad you are doing reviews again. I do like the projects that you have been working on. Cool stuff. I tell y'all, I personally think that Hyundai and Kia have come a long way in how they build and engineer their cars and SUVs. It is like what happened with Toyota and Honda back in the 1980s and 1990s.
@Rubedo Alaberti what?? They are in the same size category my dude, they share the same engines and said stinger was not only subjectively but also because the stinger actually won a bunch of awards that the g70 did not. And also in sales it beat it by A LOT.. so idk what ur reply meant.
My Dad has a 2019 Genesis G70 that he purchased back in March after trading his 2006 BMW 3 series. The only difference is that its black and is a 2.0T.
The G70 is definitely a sleeper car. If I had a choice between the G70, a 3 Series, or S4, I'd take the G70. Great performance, better reliability, resale value, and factory warranty.
I love this car, and I have not heard any bad things about it other then the infotainment system because the same as Hyundai and the rear leg room. So I did a little research about why Genesis borrowed the system from a Hyundai and the only thing i could find was that customers love it. They like how easy it is to use and responsive it is. Me - I like simplicity. In other reviews I am hearing about how long it sometimes take to turn on the heated stirring wheel. From what Hyundai customers say, they aren't worried about how it looks, more on how it functions. This car is just like my G37, compact. I can tell this car is for 30-45 years that have small children, or they hardly carry passengers. My G has the same back seat room, and I don't hear complains about how tight it is. Families will go toward SUVs for space now. Sedans or for the occasional passengers in my options. Don't forget, compact is not so much room, full size is full room. Look at the G80.
Well, as an almost 60-year-old this car is my choice. I have an appointment on Friday to order a 2021. I am looking forward to having some fun with my new 3.3T.
Wish they could body color some of that chrome. The blacked out chrome on the Sport is better than the bling on the other trims, but they should look at the blacked out trims on Jags, BMWs, etc.
Haven't watched a Saab Kyle video in a long time. Came back and he's looking like Paul Bunyan! Great review btw.. I've got the exact car in this video.
I wish the power trunk was on the 2019 models! Ugh... One thing I would have liked to have seen you mention is the dealership network of this car. The concierge service and nice ownership benefits are VERY limited for people like us who live well outside the 50 mile radius of a dealer. It honestly can make the ownership experience not so great if you need to have warranty work done.
@@dfwald4657 The smart trunk feature for 2019's is NOT a power open. The trunk is spring loaded and thus once the trunk is unlatched it open due to this. Power trunks use the motor to open and close the trunk which may actually be slower to open than the spring loaded trunks.
Man Genesis MUST to come to Germany.. there were rumors about coming to Europe near end 2019 but i dont See any progress in that :( Next year my choice will be the Fastback N or the Genesis G70, we'll see how it goes 2020!
@@kawasakiwhiptwo5821 I don't even know you, but I knew that you were getting no damn Genesis. You can't go from BMW to Hyundai. You drank the koolaid and now you're hooked. I should know I drank the MB koolaid in 1993 and been hooked ever since. On my 5th Mercedes-Benz.
Wth is going on with the Japanese? I remember when the G35/37 used to be the King, now the Koreans are setting a major benchmark. Lexus needs to up their sedan game, Acura needs to make their cars faster, and Infiniti needs to create another great car like the G’s.
You ever notice that bespoke nav/infotainment systems never work right. The Hyundai one in the G70 is proven tech and works every time. I'll take that over a fancy BMW style one that fails constantly.
I’d buy one in a heartbeat but damn I don’t care for sunroofs. The sun here in Florida destroys the seals. Great video. Is something wrong with your audio while you are driving the car?
2020 model doesn't have the lid cover in the middle console. That's the 2019 model. Go online to Genesis and look at the 2020 model and you'll see no lid cover. It is on the MY '19.
This is the 2020 because it has the fully electronic trunk. 2019 does not have it. And the lid cover is on ALL models of G70. The online picture is just with the lid opened, you can leave it opened or closed. I had a 2019 G70 3.3t so I would know.
I remember when Kyle used to have the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. That was a great car!
Those were wonderful times
I used to have it too :(
i realize it is kind of off topic but do anybody know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online?

I love what Hyundai / Genesis are doing at the moment: Everyday cars with style and souls

Idk i been in the new VW/Audi S4 and its interior looks pretty dated compared to a new gen BMW m340i. This genesis looks like outgoing 3 series (340i)

My 2019 G70 3.3T Dynamic Edition has been amazing. I miss my 2012 Sonata Sport, but I can’t ever go back. This engine is insane for the money.
How are you, Kyle ... I missed you, my friend. Yes, a great car. I wish you more success.
