Mean vid bro. Back in the early 2000's I would head off and get some Tarakihi fillets from the local fish shop for about $8 a kilo. I would use it in a raw fish! Delicious as! Haven't had Tarakihi for a couple of decades. Costs way too much now! Thanks for reminding me how delicious it tastes! 💯👍

I packed wraps for a trip with some old mates awhile ago and they were impressed with how much easier they were than the usual bread sandwiches. They don't get crushed like bread and are much easier to pack for a trip.

I was interested to hear "specie" as the singular of species - I'd never used it but this term made sense. On a suspicion, I checked - the singular of species is ... species. Doh! Tarakihi used to be my fav target for a hand spear down in Wellington region, I find them like you did over sand patches on reefy weedy areas. I was on a group trip once and got 6 of them anyway lunch time everyone standing around and another diver admired the fish and asked me if I would swap for crays, now I am a useless cray catcher so said yes and handed all 6Terakihi too him thinking fair swap for a cray, imagine my surprise when he gave me 6 crays after lunch both of us refilled our bags so win win I reckon.

Just be aware of surroundings (trust my gut instinct/intuition when feeling like a dangerous spot. Not much can do but just be aware

You have to catch a woman’s cup match! You think spearfishing is a rush?!!! I’m switching from women’s goalkeeper to water. All the surgeries after futbol. Men’s is different, women’s is like catching a monster Kingfish! I would do anything to be there. So teams to watch…. US… and EVERYONE else right. Australia, New Zealand are definitely teams to watch, as well as Japan, Germany, Netherlands, shoot probably the Swiss, let’s not count out England ugh lol. I’m quite a bit deep in some IPA’s but definitely try to go. You WILL NOT REGRET IT!! Epic!
