@@scmsecuritycrackmalwares783 lots of great music there. David Byrne of the Talking Heads is still creating. He came out with a stage show and a movie in the past few years.
As a musician, I was randomly recommended this video and wanted to comment to say I love your rendition. My favorite thing about your voice is how fundamentally sound you are. You’re very much in key and not oversaturating. So many singers nowadays start with the glitz and glam of heavy tremolo and other unnecessary features that have been popularized, but they can’t hold a key. Your voice is natural and right in the pocket. Well done.
dude I agree 100%. Sometimes I find covers of songs I like and then I want to love them so bad but the singing is exactly what you said. Her voice is so sweet and clear and perfect 🥹🥹
this is further proof that - that there is a light that never goes out. thank you for putting your self out there with this song for the world to hear.
"I haven't had a dream in a long time". See, that's the kind of lyrical and phrasing genius that possesses certain people for a certain amount of time. Gone as fast as it arrives.
Hmm. This may have been Morrissey's peak period in terms of consistency, but plenty of songs from his subsequent solo career have shown flashes of that same genius.
I had a very rough day at work in a very rough eight years of work, and I am going to put your version on loop for awhile and just cry it out. Thanks, dood. Beautiful voice. Great recording.
I love the simplicity of your cover and how your voice glides along the bittersweet and knockout lyrics, ultimately lending to a wonderful rendition of this tune. thanks for sharing!
Good times for a change See, the luck I've had Can make a good man Turn bad So please, please, please Let me, let me, let me Let me get what I want This time Haven't had a dream in a long time See, the life I've had Can make a good man bad So for once in my life Let me get what I want Lord knows, it would be the first time Lord knows, it would be the first time
Absolutely beautiful. I love your interpretation - and the tone of your voice is amazing. I could happily listen to you sing that for hours on end! Well done!
What a beautiful reading of this song. He is all dripping dry wit on the original. It takes a lovely voice to read this with sincerity and pull it off. Excellent job. Thank you!
If a song could haunt a person, this is the song. If a voice could haunt a person, this is the voice. This is a sound that follows a person in the most beautiful way. Really can't stop listening...very, VERY well done!
I remember this song so well from the 1980s. I was at University in their home town Manchester. c Crazy to hear it sung so well in 2024! Well done, good rendition. you've come a long way inb the last 3 years, haivng a look at your past videos.
As an oldie who grew up listening to The Smiths, I've heard a lot of cover versions and this is up there with the best. The same tingling feeling that the original gave me 40 odd years ago.
Very good. I write my own songs, and I love this song . Being irish, I can hear the irish desperation in the song. The smiths were a class above the rest with irish ancestry throughout the band, and coming from Manchester, these working class heroes were a match made in heaven 👏
In 1986, everyone told me I looked just like Duckie. I bought the soundtrack and found this song at the end of Side 2. Coupled with "Bring On The Dancing Horses" right before that, you can't ask for better way to close out the album. Glad you like it too! Nice version. I sang along with you as I was hearing it. You kinda look like Ally Sheedy.
Not even Johnny Marr can play it with his left hand. Lovely voice, thanks for doing this, please do another Smiths track. Too many favourites, take your pick! Oliver
Very cool! The idea of The Smiths being "electric" like this, "smooth" is interesting. The Smiths was one of the sounds of my adolescence! Success for you!
Stunningly beautiful. Absolutely stunning. I just close my eyes and let your playing and dazzling voice take me away to total bliss. Over and over again. ❤
Thank you! :) I fell in love with a girl when I was about 20, she introduced me to the Smiths (though I had heard the music before). But when you're in love, you listen... every note is the smell of hair, silly moments, beautiful beginnings, sad partings and eternal blessings: tragic attempts, by broken people to break good people's hearts. But they loose orbit eventually. ;) Love you still Em. That's the beautiful thing about lovers, you can love them forever. Taylor, I'd love to hear you harmonize with yourself!
For some reason, the YT algorithm is being very good to me the last couple of days. Your video is another example. I loved it and I have liked and subscribed!!!!👍👍
So lovely. I recently started playing guitar again after many years of collecting dust and this video was randomly suggested to me. As a huge Smiths fan I thought this was just a joy to listen to. Keep it up!
to be honest, I clicked on the video because I was captivated by your natural beauty on the thumbnail, but when you started singing, woah, my heart, that was so beautiful. repeated it and faved it to listen every now and then. also subbed! keep going!
Great voice- I love how your voice resonates! Your voice reminds me a bit like the band Lily Mao (and the Resonators) from Brooklyn. Great choice in covers on your channel. Who doesn’t love the Smiths!!
Nicely done. Subscribed, bell rung, commented, upvoted, liked, shared ... may the algorithm gods smile favorably upon your channel young lady. You are beautiful.
Thank you for this lovely rendition. I think you're able to do so because you have great 'tone'. When you're blessed with a naturally great sounding instrument, there's no need to over-sing and subsequently ruing a great song like a vast majority of "singers" do. Brava 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Morrissey really communicated a lot of feelings that I had in my early life and made me feel that at least I wasn’t alone in feeling that way. This was one of my favorite Smiths songs. Short and bittersweet. Well and simply performed 👍.
Bravo! I still remember purchasing the first Smiths album at Rough Trade records in San Francisco in 1984. Stunning record. On another planet compared to most of the other new Wave groups at the time. I suggest you check out Tracy Thorne of Everything But The Girl.
Awesome a new generation is discovering THE SMITHS
Absolutely. I had that reaction as well. I recall enjoying their music years ago

The Smiths defined an era and this is a great cover, reflecting the mood of the original completely.
I think you do an excellent job capturing the sort of haunting emotion in the vocals. Excellent cover. Thank you for sharing.

Great rendition, lovely vocals. Love that song and will come back to your version as it’s lovely. 👏

You sang this in a heartfelt way. Thanks for that!
I love listening to this. Your version sounds so sincere, like an ode to the universal frustrations of youth.
