I get that, I chose one single podcast to listen to this week and I'll be making flashcards based on the vocab, sentences and sentence patterns that I'd find in that podcast, I think in that way I'll be learning vocab in context.
Hello from Peru. Girrrl, I just love watching your videos, there's no other way to say it. You always make me laugh with the things you come up with 😂. I have a love-hate relationship with flashcards. I'm giving flashcards another chance again. With the help of AI, I started making flashcards with sentence structures that I'm not familiar with (I'm a beginner, so I'm using as an example the sentences from a video of hsk1 vocabulary on the YT channel Mandarin Corner), and I'm gonna be making flashcards with sentences of a podcast that I'm gonna be listening this week, the same podcast the entire week, next week will be a different podcast.

What do you think about having AI generate stories at certain levels/lengths for you and just gradually make them longer and harder each time until you are reading everything fluently?
I totally relate with the Anki cards and complete lack of context and lack of flow between logical ideas making memory SUPER DUPER hard 😭😭😭

flashcards only work if you are consistent with it and the words/example sentences matter to you. also cramming will never help.
