    If you notice, The scripts are written in Greek because ancient Macedonians spoke Greek. The current northern Macedonians speak a Slavic dialect, Serbian mixed with bulgarian, came to their area much later than the ancient Macedonians and have nothing to do with them

    • @dragankokunesoski1514
      @dragankokunesoski1514 7 місяців тому

      Wrong, ancient Macedonians spoke on his old Macedonian language. Greeks didnt understand Macedonian language (see the Philotas trial). Also Demostenes said that Macedonians are not Hellens but foreigners and he hated Macedonians. According the Nivice Agreement there is no ""northern Macedonians", but just a Macedonians with their own Macedonian language. Greece signed that Agreement agreed that Macedonians exist as a separate nation from Greeks. Slavic tribes came and mixed with Macedonians in VI century AD, and Greeks first came in Macedonia in 1912. never before.Modern Macedonian language is of course Slavic based, but it is not dialect,but separate unique language confirmed by UN in 1977. in Athens Greece. Also Greece in 1925 admitted that the Macedonian language is different from Bulgarian and Serbian and printed a primer (the first book named ABECEDAR) in the Macedonian language for Macedonians elementary school in Northern Greece. Let's tell the truth, enough with the cheap Greek propaganda.

The diphthong "AI" is pronounced as "E" unless it carries the just like epsilon.The girl quite possibly did not understand what you were trying to pronounce, as "aey - guy" sounds quite different.... 🙂Handy tip: Just copy the word (in Greek letters, not Latin), paste it into Google translate and klick on the loudspeaker, then you hear it: Αιγαί (the ancient form) or Αιγές (the modern form) Happy travels!

    This is Great. ☆ @12:56 I wanted to ask if you have tried a squirt if air to blast away dust, followed by a squirt of WD-40. The lubricant might stay effective for weeks ... but, it might be something you've tried already?
    During ambient noise times as in marketplace, etc. it might be disguised better than when inside an otherwise quiet automobile, for instance. My local bookstore here offers a repeating audio class. We are also learning about microphones used for android phones, etc. including where to aim the single microphone during interviews. I was looking at Corey Gil-Shuster from Ottawa doing street interviews in Greece & just using the ambient noise. So, now I'm wondering if there are directional Mike's he uses, etc. I will have to ask him... thx Mr M. 🌲😎🌲

      The Greeks are Orthodox Christians not Catholic that's why we haven't any relation to the Vatican.

      There were 16 Greek Popes before the schism. Greeks were the first "crusades". Greece has always been under the authority of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople

    Aigai is pronounced Ege.Ai,with or without intonation is pronounced e.And Oi is pronounced I.So in the word "Koimisis" all the vowels are pronounced simply as I.Another example is Oia (Ia) in Santorini.

    AI-αι = always E/e (as in the word "end") [Only when there is (¨ / αϊ) the pronunciation change as a-ee] So the place called Αιγαί = Ege or Eges in modern Greek.

    Is it allowed to film inside the the tomb?

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  7 місяців тому +6

      It depends on what you mean by the tomb. What I showed at the very beginning is the tomb of King Philip. You can't go inside, you can just see it through a protective glass, but you can film from there.

    You just can't visit Greece without a big serious plan and of course historical education...Cause you will almost miss everything and will not understand even the basics! Greece has history and things to see and do in every inch of the land.. You MUST be prepared to visit Greece! Otherwise you will fail.

    I always rely on UA-camrs to educate me on history. I get my medical and financial advice from UA-camrs too. I enjoy seeing the places you visit and the food you eat on your travels, but I can seriously do without history lessons that are often factually inaccurate and highlight biases. Make great travel films. Document your adventures. Save the history lessons for the experts. All the best to you!

      Feel free to correct any specific facts, that is welcomed in the comments section here. I'm not going to avoid discussing history in order to not offend anyone, or because I might get a fact or two wrong. I try to pretty much just stick to the verified truth as best as I can. I really don't have a dog in this fight, as they say. I double check whatever I say in my videos and if something is incorrect then I will either edit it out of the video or else add a subtitle correcting what I said.
