Thanks you so much Bernhard and Kate for watching, I have great fun making them...if you have a boat send me a photo, cheers Paul.....say hello to Filzmoos, I had a great Christmas there a few years ago.
Made me smile. The comment made at Jarvis bay. On turning to the beautiful beach ankle deep in crystal clear water, on a lovely, sunny, hot day. "It's the other side of the world". NO it's not, really it's not, I'm on the other side, it's wet and very cold 😂.
Oh sorry to hear your weather is not to good at the moment. What Bruce meant was, you could be a "million miles from anywhere".....but you knew that. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
@@SailingKateLouise Paul, also the meal time chat, so much fun to listen to. To me that's what it's all about. And I hear you on the Autumn - this was our near winter Nov. trip that blessed us with great weather! ua-cam.com/video/7ieKOP_Ohz8/v-deo.html
Hi Christopher, Yes Ric's boat was named after HMAS Quiberon, an Australian ship that Ric's dad served on and as you know, Quiberon is a bay in France. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
Welcome back buddy .. Missed you but looking forward to the “Big Tall Ship series ahead Mate. Nice group n sailing action as always. Armchair viewing at its best other than being there with the group Paul. As always love the “what’s you having section” of each video. Also great viewers boat show at the end. Even saw one from Seattle! Cheers 🥂 n fair winds, Papa J
So today was my first time ever sailing, I did it solo too. You and some other dinghy sailing channels gave me the courage to do it thank you I'm hooked now. My dinghy is a windjammer 12ft P.s. I don't know how you shoot video while sailing, every time I pulled out my phone the wind would gust up and I needed both hands to keep her on my tack😂
Great you've seen the light Josh. My Stornaway 18 is quite stable (more a trailer sailer than a dinghy) so I can take my hands off the tiller for 30 secs or so to get some shots.( I also have a tiller clutch which allows you to lock the tiller position). The hardest part is getting good sound( no wind rumble) with a phone as you will no doubt find out. There is no way of attaching a wind muff to a phone. Thanks for watching and check out my other videos, there's about 60, cheers Paul ps send me a photo of your boat to sailingkatelouise@gmail.com
Great vid, 6/10 for local pronunciation lol. Callala Bay ramp has much more parking and adjacent sandy beaches after launching. So many delightful nooks and crannys around the Bay.
Really enjoyed your latest Raid! Our pond sailing starts next week, bit tame compared to your daring exploits, but its still good fun. I plan on a night on board the wayfarer in the boat park, cooking deb potato curry ;)
I am gearing up to do my own sailing in West Virginia USA area as the season is getting started soon! I am glad you are back :) cant wait to see the Tall Ship footage and what comes next.
Oh you have to see it....the Wooden boat Festival in Ep 4 is fantastic... it's the biggest wooden boat festival in the southern hemisphere. If you haven't already send me a photo of your boat to sailingkatelouise@gmail.com, cheers Paul
Looks like another great Raid and a great location. Fantastic scenery and such clear water. Your film making and editing also just gets better and better! The food banter might be going a bit far. Peter and Josh are setting the bar high for culinary exploits!
Hi Paul. Enjoyed the trip. I wonder if the trailer sailor struck by lightning was Rosco's from Life on the Hulls ( ep. 258 ). I'm pretty sure he keeps her in Jervis Bay.
@@SailingKateLouise Yes saw that Paul, I know it’s from Iceland and is supposed to guide you through rough seas but I thought the audience may know it more as a Viking compass.
So glad to see you make another video dude! (Yes, I am a yank from the USA, we use different nouns for mate etc...). Our season here near the Chesapeake doesn't start for another two weeks due to winter! Any chance you got a shot of doing some boat equipment tours? Am working on building a solar energy system for my 20 foot trailer sailer.
Hi Dave I've been away tall ship sailing from Sydney to Hobart in Tassie and back 5 weeks.I don't have solar but will do a video on it in the future , cheers Paul
Thanks very much for your videos, this one was absolutely wonderful. I'm not on Facebook, is there any other way of joining raid Sydney. Please let me know, I'm about 90 per cent done on my jarcat and would like to join some raids.
Hi Steve, they use facebook to post events(raids) are you on what's app? or email me your phone number to sailingkatelouise@gmail.com and then I can message you when the next one happens. But you will have to remind me...I can't message everyone, cheers Paul
Paul ! I was sharing your Jeris vid here. Someone up here saw Bruce’s boat n ask what it was. Sorry but I forgot what it is. Could you please send type it is please. Much appreciated mate. Love 💕 the outing. Cheers 🥂 papa J

ummm. really have to be careful using what many people think are "viking" symbols. That "viking" sticker is called the helm of awe and is not viking. It belongs to 16th century Icelandic magical lore found in some medieval christian texts. has NOTHING to do with viking compasses Looks good though.
I needed that and I really enjoyed it as always! Thanks and Cheers Paul!!.....⛵⛵⛵
Thanks James....have you checked out Sailing Duyfken on YT?
my trip to the wooden boat festival on a tall ship, cheers Paul
Hello Paul!

Great to have you and Kate Louise back. Wonderful video. Thank you.
My pleasure Malcolm, glad to be back...heading up to Myall lakes again in a couple of weeks, cheers Paul
welcome back Paul, jealous of your Tassie trip. Any way, it is HuskiSSON, not HuskinSon :)
whoops typo...sorry, thanks for watching, cheers Paul
Great raid. I’m local to Jervis Bay. No boat at the moment but I’m just starting to build my Scamp. Hopefully I’ll be out there with you all soon.⛵️😎

Thumbs uping each post on this thread! 😎👍

Thanks Phil, hope to sail again with you soon, cheers Paul
I thing someone was pulling your leg about balustrade. It appears the word is derived from the Greek for the flower of the wild pomegranate
Yes I've heard that one too, but the pig iron version is much more interesting, thanks for watching, cheers Paul

Hi Yes the ramp at Callala bay is great, but not very protected from the onshore breeze. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
Very enjoyable. Good to see the TS16, as I'm rebuilding one. Mine will be junk rigged.
