This guy is a legend. On the very same week he collects his car he puts over 1000km on it. More than 90% of the owners of cars like this would have it delivered to his place and storage in a garage. There is a reason why his channel don’t stop growing and it’s because people want to see those kind of cars to be properly driven. Congrats on the absolutely stunning spec of your SF90. This shade of blue is incredibly beautiful.

@freepieanchipsgarage I could not disagree more with you. I don't have to know about mechanics to be a car enthusiast. I just need to know how to drive it properly. Or even more, I just need to drive it. And that is what he does. He's of the only few that actually track his cars. All of them. @freepieanchipsgarage What an ignorant mindset to have. Must be sad to live a life where you need to shit on others to feel better about yourself. My father fixes cars for a living and while I don’t have 1/100th of his knowledge, I am without doubt 100x the car enthusiast that he is.

The only reason to get an Assetto Fiorano pack is for the cosmetic rear duck tail carbon - which depending on your preference looks better or worse. Other than that, It'd be a standard one for me every time too. It isn't a lightweight track car it is a hybrid road car, especially if you have a Senna, a Ford GT and an STO already... @@Shmee150 And there is kind of the proof that these numbers not only not matter, but the whole run in process guidelines are for people who pre-heat their oven for frozen pizza. Loss of warranty as well as longevity is simply nonsense. Seeing you as a presumably proper "car guy" still going exactly by the book and then suddenly after hitting 1000km everything is fine, is painful. Like if something magically changed. Btw driving gently and keeping the engine permanently at the same low revs within the first 1000km is rather harming then helpful. Who wants to imprint low revs on their supercar engine? @@theatrenest9982 its not that exactly after 1000km the engine becomes “broken in”, it probably gets broken in within 500km but to be safe they say 1000km. It would be the same if u let ur car sit for a year and then floor it the first minute u turn it on. (I can speak from experience, had my car parked for 6months then floored it within 20minutes of turning it on, guess what, it broke. Another example: try not doing anything for a year and than going on a marathon without doing any prep, ur likely going to have some major cramps after)

Without changing the oil during break in, putting that many miles before driving hard is pointless because the metal shavings will be going through the oil system

Fixing the luggage space issue is easy-peasy! Just install a tow-bar and attach a proper two axle enclosed trailer!

Hey Tim ! I had a doubt, you have driven 1000km but you must have actually driven the engine less that 1000km because of the hybrid, right? For example you have driven it 800km on engine, So can you still consider that the engine is run in ? Thank you ! Congratulations on your lovely car, looks amazing ❤️❤️❤️

I do think that’s my favourite Ferrari, as long as it doesn’t fall apart. Blue is a brave colour for your first brand new Ferrari, I’d end up with red one 🤦 but I love the light grey with a black roof so maybe 🤔
The interior is sweet, the blue and the blue paint, spec as always from Tim is spot on (not the blue, would need to see person)

I know the 1000km trip was done at an easy pace while it was being run in, but I still never expected a nearly 1000hp Ferrari to be so quiet even at lower RPMs. Love the car, though.

This is what I’d love a Ferrari that gets 40-50 mpg and sitting on motorways and when you want it on the twisty roads you can turn on the full beans. Maybe storage space the only spoiler.

electric car motors do not need run in, but IC engine need it, I think you should have run on engine power only for a 1000 km. What are your views, please explain in the next video

When I worked at Mercedes Benz in Annapolis MD, we had a car wash on site. It didn’t matter what the customer was doing with the car, we would wash it free of charge. For the amount that Ferrari cars cost, I’m surprised that they wouldn’t do that for you.

I know you have commented on doing 1000km run in, but as the car runs in E mode doesn’t that mean you are not doing the running in process. Isn’t the 1k km mean the engine has to do that mileage? Before you can push it?

Absolutely stunning car, which most of us can only but dream. Just wandered if there is a setting that allows you to maintain a % in battery power while driving? I own a 530e (coming from a previous full EV) and as with all electric/ hybrid they are not designed to be at 100% charge all the time. So when using the engine to recharge while driving you can set it to hold from 50-100% charge, (normally 80% is default). The downside to this being a slight decrease in mpg, but the upside being when you hit traffic of slower speeds you have more battery to travel further.

The new car looks stunning, shame about the weather! Just curious, with your ties to Germany and the amount of time you spend there, do you speak German?
