- Tim is back at the Shmuseum and its time for a series of updates! Let’s start with a recap of the Where’s Shmee journey through Europe the last two months by Tim himself giving you a rundown of the mileage of each of the three Italian Shmeemobiles, their fuel consumption and the total cost of the whole trip.
But that is not all! After having driven 3,000 miles in the SF90 Stradale, Tim has some words to say about the 1,000hp hybrid Ferrari. Both positive and negative, he runs you through his thoughts and experiences, giving you a mini-review of the SF90. Some of the points might come as a surprise and some are the obvious niggles you kinda expect from an Italian supercar.
Furthermore, we received a lovely present from UA-cam which we unpack together with you guys, we catch up on the story in connection to the Clio and go for a drive in a number of Shmeemobiles ahead of their outings this weekend at the Gumball 3000 warmup at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb and Supercar Sunday event at Goodwood Circuit. However, one test drive ends up in misery. One of the Shmeemobiles decided to show some reliability issues. Any guesses which one?

It's beautiful, in that blue with silver wheels it's definitely the nicest SF90 I've seen & it's quickly become my favourite Shmeemobile. Congratulations on your 100k subscribers, you guys earned it !

There is currently over 7,000 PS in the Shmuseum, after the Zenvo delivery, when the GT Black Series, GT500, and DBS come home, there will be over 10,000. That is insane.
Love the spec on the SF90. It pairs very nicely with the GTC4, I think they have earned a permanent place in the shmeemobiles. 675LT is mega too. Silver wheels are the best.
Congratulations to you all on the success of the channel. I’ve watched Tim for more years than I can remember and this channel has enhanced and filled a gap in some of the content. Really enjoying the banter and “antics” you all bring.

Calculations of running costs and fuel price changes are highly worthwhile in current times. Absolutely right about manufacturing implications in carbon emissions in relation to EV or combustion... Your collection is easily one of the best on youtube now. So many amazing super cars and you don't even have the GT500 or the AMG GT Black Series in there atm.

For us North Americans, 28 mpg UK would equate to about 23.3 mpg based on the 3.8L Gallon. Impressive fuel economy for 1,000 hp, the plug-in hybrid should be the focus these days instead of full electrification. It's a good bridge in terms of technology and infrastructure that would work for most of the world.
They do nothing to solve the greenhouse gas problem
I think you worked it out the wrong way? You should be doing 28*(3.8/4.55) = 23.4 US mpg

Have to admit i appreciate Tim giving/sharing all info -be it positive or negative- about these great cars! Not that i am a fan of all of his cars (McLaren's are not really my thing), but so nice to see all the info about all of them! And glad to see the frog gone from his collection! I still like the idea of having a huge white board on the wall with all your cars on it with info for each car, like total mileage driven, how long you've had it, where it currently is (if it's in storage or service or road trip) and cannot get enough of seeing that sf9o, it is so gorgeous. Who came up with the vacuum joke? That was hilarious 🤣
In a previous video they showed that they have a spreadsheet to keep information like that in it (as well as when was it last driven, tire pressures, etc), but it would be nice to be able to visually see it at a quick glance.

I had a dream that the museum on the back wall is getting knocked through to a bigger garage and new space
My only worry as an owner if this car or any plug-in hybrid is the proper engine warm-up of the ICE unit before it's put on heavy load. I'm sure manufacturers have come up with some sort of solution to reduce the wear and tear on a cold ICE engine having to be called upon suddenly.
You need some after market floor mats to protect those light coloured ones from Ferrari
When they bring out the footballs no matter how well the cars are protected 🤷🏼♂️ Sorry hate balls round cars 😂 and I thought my 900 miles road trip down south and back to Scotland cost £134 to £98 the previous year same route same car but Tim’s fuel bill is next level, I’d love his Shell Clubcard points 😂
Yeah it bothers me as well when the footballs come out. Also I’m not sure I would be so generous letting his staff using the cars like their own. He didn’t look best pleased they put the Clio around the field.

Should make the Clio the designated field machine, Clio 2x4 Square. 🤣 Snorkel lift kit, wide body, like a mini monster Clio. Or put it in the spec of the Sf90 or Gt8 or Senna. Paint, and interior, silver wheels, supercar spec for the Clio. 😁

The MPG of shmee's SF90 is better than the MPG in my '06 saab 9-3 aero convertible, and it's got a 2.0l 4cyl. H O W
Just further solidifies the fact that the 675 LT is the best modern car McLaren has made by a long, long way.

I just did a quick conversation to my currency the South African Rand. You spent R100 968.20 on petrol, you can get a very decent used vehicle for that price.
How it has the passenger read out and all that information and not a USB or USC port is definitely not intelligent . You could get those things changed, Tim at the car stereo place where you got the SLS done. They could wire up a USB to the fuse box or the battery with independent fuse. Then u have to add a aftermarket alarm system with remote start and lock or unlock w/key fob to neutralize that automatic door lock. Plus audio upgrades for the STO??? Haha 😂

I think the auto lock might be the proximity sensor feature, where if you walk away from the car with the keys with you it automatically locks, I could be wrong but I think it might be.

I absolutely agree with you Tim . People will say that an electric car is very safe for the environment but they don't even have any idea about what happens when an electric is manufactured. In my opinion the world would have been a better place if everyone focused on builting hybrids rather then electric cars.
Do you remember from your 296 GTB drive if it shares the same negative issues as you pointed out for the SF90? I think both are great cars. I drive my Porsche long miles but don't really understand why Ferrari owners do not drive more. Also confused why Ferrari stops their 15 year warranty at 56000 miles maximum. Do the warranty costs go too high for Ferrari if driven more than that? Unlimited miles first 2 years, but probably almost no one takes advantage of that because of resale.

i really hate the trend of touch controls in cars in general but even more in Ferraris. What bothers me most is the fully digital driver screen, it just isn´t fitting for a Ferrari in my opinion. I like what Porsche did way better: fully analog rev counter and digital screens on either side.
