In scrubbing the floor, use a *“deck brush”.* It looks like a handheld scrub brush that you get down on your hands and knees with on the floor. However it has a mop/broom handle attached to it. They sell the head at the Dollar Tree store, or hardware stores sell complete deck brush “brooms”. It's for scrubbing outside decks, but it works great on tile floors, and grout. The stiff short bristles do an amazing job, and you get to stand up to scrub. Good for bad backs.
Hope this helps. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 👵☮️🖖

I have a dedicated towel that I roll up and stick into the gasket in my front loader that I leave in there until the dryer finishes and then I unroll it and hang it up to air dry and I never have any mildew or mold in my washing machine.

I used the Clorax Pen for grout. Much more control and works for me. Clorax discontinued them, but others make a similar product. Love Zout. Had grease on a shirt, it went thru laundry and drying and I thought it was ruined. I used Zout and it took the stain out even though it had been dried in.

HELPFUL HINT: My husband owns a carpet and upholstery cleaning business. Whenever using Peroxide for cleaning, mix it 1/2 HOT water and 1/2 Peroxide. The hot water activates the peroxide. It makes a huge difference in spot cleaning or overall cleaning. I use it on my tile in bathrooms with white grout. Mix Peroxide/Hot Water and pour around the floor, add a few drops of Dawn around as well. Sprinkle some baking soda if you want, but not needed. Srub it in, I use a scrub brush on the end of a mop handle so I do not have to bend/stoop/crawl. After scrubbing, leave it for 30 to 45 minutes and then just mop it up, takes a couple of mopping rounds. Dry it up with an old towel. As it dries, the grout continues to whiten over days, but you can see an immediate result.

Try using vinegar as a fabric softener! I’ve used it for years.. doesn’t smell and also helps clean.. my repair guy also told me people usually use way more soap then you need . I use a tablespoon for a Reg load of laundry and it also doesn’t break down the fabric that using too much soap will do to your cloths

I leave my tide on it’s side on top of the washing machine with the spout down then just slide it forward over the detergent drawer and press the release button. I keep a piece of dollar tree drawer liner under the bottle so if it drips after you slide it back it’s easy clean up. Essentially i never have to lift the bottle.

My favorite way to clean my grout is with dawn power wash. I let is set for a while then use a grout brush from grove. Sometimes need to respray stubborn areas and repeat. I then use my spin wash mop, but this takes awhile to get up because of all the bubbles, but is so worth it!

I recommend using Clorox bleach (as she did) over knockoffs. Here's why:
    * Clorox is made using a marsh water osmosis process. The byproduct of this process is - Water! Which is put back into the marshland to become more marsh water .... etc.
    * Bc of the process that only Clorox uses your whites actually get & stay white. The reason whites get "yellow" over time is bc of the bleach making process others use has chemicals besides bleach in it.
    * Bc the by product for making Clorox is water, it's process is environmentally friendly and the natural bleach is also easier for the environment to absorb than the chemical process.

I love using my Bissell Steam Shot for cleaning tile grout. It takes a while to do the whole floor, because a full tank only lasts for about 10 minutes of cleaning before you have to let it cool off, refill and then let it get up to full heat, but you can cover a lot of territory in those 10 minutes. I use the Dollar Tree's Awesome cleaner to spray the grout lines first, let that sit while the steamer is heating up, steam the lines and then mop up with a big towel. Far better than any chemicals that I've tried, and no scrubbing required. The steam does the work.

I love Borax to clean with it works so well. I also use a lot of toothbrushes to clean with as well. I get them at The Dollar store they have them in packs of 3 or 4 sometimes well worth every penny. Baking soda and Peroxicde is noting but OXY clean that they sell for sky high prices. It works well.

Have been using toothbrush for dishes for years mostly for items like the grater. I get a pack of 4 or more at Dollar Tree or any other store that might have then for a cheap price and keep them for kitchen use only. If I need for other areas in the house I buy another set with different colors. For the grout someone here on UA-cam mentioned the Clorox toilet bowl Gel Cleaner and it did work for me also for shower stains.😊😊

Hi Andrea!, I hate the washer draw cleaning too!, I knew about Borax at it seemed to be quite well used in MS in the 80's...shame to hear that it's not the 'in' solution anymore...makes me feel SO old to realise I know what this stuff is, not to mention other things you know when you get that blank stare from the young'uns!!!...I recently got the idea that I would use my OLD electric toothbrush for the washer drawer!, Go Mandy!!, genius idea!...doing really well too until the head came off and went down that hole at the front there!!. So next time I did the wash I could hear all this clanging and grinding thinking OMG I am KILLING my machine!!, expecting it to blow up and die but it never did. The clanking got less and less and over time It went completely...no worries right?.
Forgot about it entirely. Then one day the pump wouldn't empty the machine and I called out the repair man..who. much to my embarrassment found shards of toothbrush head, gnarled up bristles etc clogging up the waste pipe!...my point is obviously, NOT to use electric toothbrushes to clean machine gubbings with!!...I don't know what it's like over there, but here you can no longer buy serviceable machines as they are all closed units now...once your machine dies you have to buy new, so that's an even bigger reason not to be as stupid as me!...thanks for this Andrea, always informative and enjoyable x

I just discovered your channel today, and I found your content very useful and easy to follow. Your delivery is naturally engaging with a hint of humor. I would however suggest that you make your video descriptions uniquely different from video to video because just by reading the title/video description, I can't tell the differences among the videos (i.e. they all read the same - "cleaning hacks you never knew" "hacks few knew about" "if I knew sooner") Plus the lack of detailed description makes it difficult to find the one video I need. Lastly, to imply that your viewers "never knew" certain hacks before watching your video is quite presumptuous and off putting imo. I think you would get a lot more views and subs if the titles were more specific so viewers can easily search a hack they need and BAM they find your channel! Hope this helps and that your channel will continue to grow.

Great tips, as always. Here is my question. I have a top load washing machine. I heard somewhere that if I poke a hole in the pod and then throw it in the washing machine that it will separate easier and quicker than just throwing it in as is. Not sure if that’s correct or accurate I just started doing that.

An appliance repair man once told me that if you can see soap bubbles in a front loader washing machine, you've put in too much laundry detergent. The machine I was using frequently malfunctioned, so I had ample time to learn from the repairman. When I used way less soap, the machine worked better...no malfunctions!
Seems like if you were going to use baking soda to clean, it would be better to use it with vinegar.
I wish you lived close to me, so you could come and help me get my house cleaned and organized! I need it so much! I've been organized my whole life, but now I'm too disabled to do anything about it... the house and car show that... and it's really pathetic! I just can't get it done! 😢

Better yet, save the environment and use powdered.

First, let me say that I love your videos. I have been doing my laundry in cold water for 50 years even my whites now that we have Oxy Clean and I found my clothes last longer and fade less. Hot water damages the fibers and sets stains. I soak in Oxyclean for up to 3 days in cold water to get stains out I use a degreaser on oil and grease, if 3 days can't get the stain it will never come out not even in hot water. I do use bleach but rarely. I have a septic tank and bleach kills the enzymes needed for a septic system to work properly. Just a tidbit from an old granny. I just had my 76th birthday and I was a professional Cleaning service and caregiver for 10 years right before I retired. I am also disabled now from a car accident so your hacks have helped me a lot. Hugs.

Bathroom cleaner for toilet, grout, and shower curtain: fill a spray bottle 3/4 full with water, 1/4 C of bleach, and 1/4 C of dish detergent (this goes in last so it doesn't create suds). Spray down the bathroom, close the door, go to bed, and when you get up the bathroom is clean with minimal effort.
