This is a recording from 14 August 1980. Definitely not the final studio recording of Lennon, they're even plainly discussing the Double Fantasy sleeve. The haunting guitar overdubs were done on 5 December 1980 and on the night of his death they were revisiting the final mix. Mastering of the song was supposed to take place on 9 December.
Yeah, on the 8th, John recorded that whammy guitar part for Walking on Thin Ice, but his guitar was plugged directly in the console, so he wouldn’t have needed a mic
@@WinkDaMan07 Everything going on in the control booth and studio room was recorded separately, so including the chatter when the multi-tracks weren't rolling. This recording here is from 4 months before his death though. On the night of his murder they were revisiting the final mix of this song, the haunting guitar overdubs were done days prior.
@@j.c7719 😳Poor Yoko , guess someone has to like her singing , if you can call it that. I would rather hear chalk scraping on a chalk board. Bonnie Raitt. Aretha Franklin. Now they are singers.
@@j.c7719 People like who they like dude. But how anyone can say after listening to Bonnie sing I Can't Make You Love Me thinks its boring and has no feeling is beyond me. Singer/ songwriters different category. John Hiatt , John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughn , The Beatles , The Eagles before Frey passed away. Now those are great artists.
@@kimwestwood8840 She could sorta carry a tune if she turned it down a few notches, but the rest was noise. I’ll tell you somebody who’s a huge fan of Yoko Ono’s vocal, is Boy George. Surprised me…
How are you doing ? Jack Douglas said he erease all the conversations between John and Yoko that night because it scared him. It is not true. I would be glad if you subscribed to my channel. More Beatles content to come. Thank you.
What a gem to find! Thanks.
Why use fake images of some lookalike, it kind of undermines the veracity imo

Excellent! I would be proud of it if I was you!
Anyone who has recorded knows how frustrating it is, it can be infuriating. I don’t hold their short tempers in this recording against either of them.

So hilarious that these AI Lennons don't look like Lennon at all. They look like an actor hired to play him that sort of looks like him.
The pictures absolutely dreadful . A I isn't that bright at photography.
pretty much like lennon himself after 1966, the sudden loss of weitght and haircut made him look so weird.
@@shadowlq5366 dude look at his hands 😄
That's definitely Not John in that opening photo in the Studio.

This is real audio, but I don't think it's from the 8th. I think it was earlier in the week. But still cool to hear.

Respect for John but lets be real, Yoko cannot sing folks.

Talking looks original, but photo isn't
Of course.
John's nose didn't look that big and long from the side.
This AI is not perfect...
that's the weirdest studio gear i've ever seen....

Shut up Yoko
How are you doing ? I have a bootleg jam record when you clearly hear John saying to Yoko: "Shut up!".
