WHY WE DO IT! 🐟 Dipnetting Salmon on the Kenai Beach | Day 2

THIS IS MY ALASKA!
Dipnetting the Kenai - Day 2! We got 6 sockeye salmon in the bag already, but we are far from done (65). The Kid and I head back out to the beach on a crazy windy morning to battle the waves and net some sockeye on the north beach of Kenai, Alaska.
On this trip, we try to address the question of "why we dipnet." It is about so much more than just simple fun or food. It is part of life in Alaska and has been beyond memory. You may not get to participate, you may not like it, but we hope you come to understand this uniquely Alaskan tradition better through our experience 😊
