Yeah, that's what I love about creepypastas, as you read or listen to them alone in your own bedroom, you think and imagine what those scenes or things would look like in your head, only for you to feel that fear, and then snap out of it....and nothing happens, just pure silence....Personally, I love this stuff just for my favorite instrument of all time, Pianos. And to be honest, I love ambiance as well, the idea of being alone and isolated in a location where only you are and no one else is there, as you walk through very silent locations, and go from there.

Didn't expect Vaporwave Silent Hill to be something I needed in my life Edit: Ok i've just finished listening to all of it, my god you did a wonderful work, Vaporwave made the OST incredibly better, some tracks like Angela's Hell got 10 times more emotional and anxious tracks got even more creepy. Truly a wonderful job, I'll definetly come back and listen to this again when i'll feel like it. Truly an amazing job
I certainly wouldn't say it made it "better", just different. Yamaoka's work is really perfection. This adds a "kookier/whimsical" vibe that is absent in the original songs, and probably for a reason. They are meant to impart bittersweet despair and loss of hope

I have a whole tabletop rpg (like Dungeon and Dragons, Pathfinder) system and universe based around this very concept. Even when I conceptualised the ideas and themes like two years ago, I'm real close these days to having it ready on a playable build.

There are 2 new silent hill games in development apparently, they are reviving the cancelled silent hills and the og team silent is working on a reboot I think.
It had the same effect on me too: I had never played it, but the music transmits strong emotions. Now, recently I was able to play it on PC thanks to a PS2 emulator, if you can I recommend you do the same, you can't deprive yourself from playing SH2.
I've never played silent hill. I don't know what the story is, or why it's so sad and has all these people on their knees begging for mercy. Try to find the best strain for you, when you just begun smoking the best is to by the cheapet one available because it is the weakest and you can know your limit

Once you try that you have no desire to ever touch weed or alcohol, because the high just sucks and its not healthy for your brain. At least that was my experience, I recommend giving it a try with music you really love, it's magical.
I remember renting this from blockbuster forever ago. I remember getting stuck in the apartments at the beginning of the game to the point I put it down till it was time to return it. I ended up renting it again and spent all night trying to figure out what to do. I don't remember what it was but it was some simple puzzle. Hard puzzles were no problem but I always got stumped on the easy ones due to overthinking, I've gotten better about that though. My solution now is to just have my 8 year old try to figure it out if I run into puzzles on games anymore, good for his brain.

This is somehow even better than the original, which is saying a lot since it's literally my favourite soundtrack of all time. So atmospheric and melancholic and nostalgic and calming. Nothing will ever compare to it.

Makes me imagine a distant, far future cyberpunk horror Silent Hill, where, in like 2054, one of the great grandchildren of the characters from the franchise returns to the town. Still there, still standing, amidst the ever-changing world around it. Silent Hill remains a constant.
it doesn’t matter what year, it’s not about science fiction, but I have an idea for a story about a godforsaken place on the planet, maybe even in such a distant future that there will be no memory of our time in it, I’m interested in what kind of hell a mentally ill person can be in in any country, for example, in africa or India of the 1650 model, or how a ghost town lives somewhere in russia, believe me, in our real world there is a hell that is no different from the sinister fiction of the authors of Silent Hill
