Yeah, that's what I love about creepypastas, as you read or listen to them alone in your own bedroom, you think and imagine what those scenes or things would look like in your head, only for you to feel that fear, and then snap out of it....and nothing happens, just pure silence....Personally, I love this stuff just for my favorite instrument of all time, Pianos. And to be honest, I love ambiance as well, the idea of being alone and isolated in a location where only you are and no one else is there, as you walk through very silent locations, and go from there.

Didn't expect Vaporwave Silent Hill to be something I needed in my life Edit: Ok i've just finished listening to all of it, my god you did a wonderful work, Vaporwave made the OST incredibly better, some tracks like Angela's Hell got 10 times more emotional and anxious tracks got even more creepy. Truly a wonderful job, I'll definetly come back and listen to this again when i'll feel like it. Truly an amazing job
I certainly wouldn't say it made it "better", just different. Yamaoka's work is really perfection. This adds a "kookier/whimsical" vibe that is absent in the original songs, and probably for a reason. They are meant to impart bittersweet despair and loss of hope

There are 2 new silent hill games in development apparently, they are reviving the cancelled silent hills and the og team silent is working on a reboot I think.
It had the same effect on me too: I had never played it, but the music transmits strong emotions. Now, recently I was able to play it on PC thanks to a PS2 emulator, if you can I recommend you do the same, you can't deprive yourself from playing SH2.

I remember renting this from blockbuster forever ago. I remember getting stuck in the apartments at the beginning of the game to the point I put it down till it was time to return it. I ended up renting it again and spent all night trying to figure out what to do. I don't remember what it was but it was some simple puzzle. Hard puzzles were no problem but I always got stumped on the easy ones due to overthinking, I've gotten better about that though. My solution now is to just have my 8 year old try to figure it out if I run into puzzles on games anymore, good for his brain.

Once you try that you have no desire to ever touch weed or alcohol, because the high just sucks and its not healthy for your brain. At least that was my experience, I recommend giving it a try with music you really love, it's magical.

I've never played silent hill. I don't know what the story is, or why it's so sad and has all these people on their knees begging for mercy. "Betrayal" It has something ... in the original version it conveys anguish, in this version the same, but it gives me more the idea that something very important, almost epic, is happening.
Wish I could play this, over the year that I have been listening to this absolutely stunning music it has grew into a part of my life and how I view it, I have a pretty hard depression and anxiety so this deeply depressing/melancholic music illustrates perfectly the filter I have on how I view my lonely and isolative life.

Same never played any of the silent hill games yet I listen to the soundtracks to some of the games, like No tomorrow from silent hill 1 beautiful. Also Kingdom hearts is trash, the soundtrack is good but the game itself is boring, tried playing kingdom hearts 1 didn’t know wtf was going on and the voice acting ..oof than I heard kingdom hearts 2 was one of the best games of the franchise, played it and enjoyed the first half when you play as Roxas, also the opening slapped but that’s about it, same with dream drop distance.

Promise (1:10:43) is a godsend of a song in this format, I can't describe how much I love it. I've sat here and tried for like an hour. It was the track that made me buy this album on Bandcamp. I desperately want to know how much you shifted the pitch down so that I can try to learn to play it for a cover of it that I want to do. I'm pretty shit at transposing and I know next to nothing about different keys, and I spent like 3 hours yesterday trying to figure out what that first note is but I just can't hear it. I know the first note is normally A, could you maybe tell me a little about how you made this/these songs so that I could start working on a cover? I'm gonna keep trying to figure it out! Thank you SO much for the upload!!

Edit1: 1 hour in and my god the entire OST is completely horrifying, i don't even recognize some tracks anymore. 58:30
