My man got those synthol style biceps. I'm less impressed about the Half-Like inspiration and more distracted by your sleeve seams struggling to maintain threading hahaha. Also great update by the way.
I do love that you learnt how to properly use State Machines, and then put everything into a State Machine. That's the kind of thing I would do. I don't know if it's right, but it was probably fun
This feels like playing modded GMod with a sprinkle of Ready or Not and many other realistic shooters combined into one game... And I absolutely love it. 👍
Awesome. Quite the humorous presentation I must say and what you are showing on screen lends you a lot of credibility. I can vicariously satisfy my results-driven attitude through this video. Time to get back to my own game!
This looks amazing and props to you for rewriting a lot of things! Just don't get sidetracked endlessly rewriting code, I see that mistake time and time again - just remember, the hardest part ot finish a game is not making the systems and everything to work together, it's what comes after that, the making actual content and levels. It take a stupid amount of time I have found. Cheers and good luck! :)
thanks! I couldn't agree more, I'm sooo ready to move on from rewriting stuff, I've got some cool stuff planned for the next few videos (that's not rewriting stuff) so hopefully I don't fall down another rewrite rabbit hole
This looks really awesome. an insane amount of progress. Very cool. Consistently uploading, what's that XD? My 3month break is now accidentally 2 years. I should get on that...
"Alright this video looks interesting enough.. Nvm I might click o-" *Half life mentioned* "Ok now I'm invested" *I further feed my obsession until it one day absolves me and I go in a 8 year coma, only waking up on the day half life 3 releases.*
I love the style. You've found a great balance between retro look, and looking good. I'm definitely gonna take notes from it. I hope it runs well on my pile of scrap If i may recommend something, make it possible to change all that yellow to something else? like treating it like an accent that you can change everywhere with only one wheel or something. I like the style of the game, but personally, yellow is bottom tier color. There's some nice shades out there, but it's usually low to mid at best.
Damnnn how have i not heard of this game before it looks really promising, keep it up. And also im wondering how did you make the weapon bobbing and sway? Is it animation driven or procedural?
yooooo whatsup, yeah its procedural, a lot of the view model anims are procedural, the only anims I have for guns is equipping, attacking and reloading, everything else is procedural (i.e sprinting, ADS, sway, bob, crouching), big fan of your vids btw :]
for sure! the state machine code that I use is mine, written from scratch (maybe I'll post it on patreon), but a lot of it tries to copy how this library works: github.com/Inspiaaa/UnityHFSM and the pathfinding library is just the most popular unity asset (the only and most essential asset that I currently use): arongranberg.com/astar/
Ok i have a good idea you should try to add where if the ai doesn't see you or no you are around are never saw you they will talk to each other and not be on high alert making stealth funner
to be honest I maybe should've waited until I fully finished it to show it off, but it's gonna be able to rob enemies of their weapons and various other funny things, it'll just kinda mess with the enemies and stuff
the place I worked at hires coop students for my position usually, so the contract only lasted 4 months, I probably could've asked to extend it further through the summer, but this way I get more time to work on partizan :]]
Is ur game inspired by gmod addons? It reminds me of when I used to spawn enemies with the "beatrun" mod and do a bunch of parkour with gun mods shooting them and stuff in flashy ways
as someone who recently started getting into game dev and learning coding, the fact you completely remade your state machine to even have sub state machines actually boggles my fucking mind. not only are you making all the art, but doing in fucking SANE coding. keep it fucking up man, your work is incredibly inspiring for new coming game devs!

I do love that you learnt how to properly use State Machines, and then put everything into a State Machine. That's the kind of thing I would do. I don't know if it's right, but it was probably fun
fun is a strong word lol, though it's definitely fun to write code now, after rewriting everything
omg this game looks incredibly fun to play and those movement mechanics are so smooth
nice enemy ai as well :D
This feels like playing modded GMod with a sprinkle of Ready or Not and many other realistic shooters combined into one game... And I absolutely love it. 👍

That code looks immaculate! Perhaps I should learn how to use state machines.
Welcome back Dani, good to see Karlson is looking better than ever 🎉
my hands weren't the only two things clapping.

josh hutcherson rewrites all of humanity's history into a state machine: the movie
racoon was worth the wait
in 6 months I'll have another little creature finished
@@tsitski maybe add a frog for funny
I'll consider it, frogs are pretty funny
sorry I got distracted by those massive arms, gonna have to rewatch the video
the first buffed dev i've seen, really good game, would've looked better if it was made in unreal but that's just my opinion :-)
looks amazing
this is what peak yt content looks like
There are only two people who can make a nerd look cool, the superman's actor and this guy
Wow really impressive first time seeing and i love the parkour u must add climbing 😅

I find it funny that the watch looks exactly like the one from the division (SHD Smart Watch)
This shit is baller, can you link to the state machine documentation & the Erich dude's path finding
I can't spell his name
for sure! the state machine code that I use is mine, written from scratch (maybe I'll post it on patreon), but a lot of it tries to copy how this library works: github.com/Inspiaaa/UnityHFSM

This is insane.
Lucas Hitterdall, hide your girl when he calls🙏🔥
This game will be the best fps of the decade
UNDERRATEDDDDD

The award for most fit dev goes to…
that fur is sweet.
bro programming guns with his guns
bro he make videogames and he destroy my head with only his fingers
@tsitski you should take notes from old game called f.ea.r (first counter assault recon) since that games ai is great and the gunfights are very fun.
i will be subscribing
looks fier
karlson if dani locked in:

@@tsitski if you wont get sucked into refactoring hell, partizan is sure going to be a banger.
HELL YEAH, it has to be after all that
wow your games gameplay looks so polish! amazing! I would love to help you with animation if you like.
that watch looks familiar is it based from the watch in tom Clancy's division
Is ur game inspired by gmod addons? It reminds me of when I used to spawn enemies with the "beatrun" mod and do a bunch of parkour with gun mods shooting them and stuff in flashy ways
yeah it is! those "realistic" gmod montage videos with the tacticool guns and kicking are a big inspo
guys we are getting karlson 3D before dani makes it
Brilliant! What's the raccoons name? and is it frank?
Why did you decide on state machines for this?
they're the bomb, they let you separate large chunks of code really easily, also it's very easy to debug state machines
