I bought some quarter sheet baking pans. 2 will fit in the freeze dryer on one shelf. That is what I will use to do this. I just wish someone made those handy dividers for those smaller trays. Anyway…I am anxiously awaiting part 2 of this meal.
i may just have to try those. I have some sheet cake pans I could bake them in. for sure wouldn't want to take a chance on using my trays, even though I have 2 sets. nice idea.
Hi John. Brilliant! I love your recipes. I bought your 40 freeze dried meal pouch recipe book and it’s excellent. Each recipe I’ve tried so far has been spot on. Are you thinking about making a second edition with some of your latest creations? If you are, count me in. Cheers from an octogenarian from Seattle. Ray.
Silicone mats from Harvest Right are “heat resistant” per their website, and other websites will state silicone mats are oven safe up to 428 degrees Fahrenheit. John said he pre-heated his oven to 400 degrees.
I was getting ready to say “you didn’t tell us how long..” and then ya returned and told us! Lol! I found it so uncommon of you to open up your 10 pack of O2 absorbers and only use 2. I wanted to ask if you were feeling ok. Hopefully you marked on the package there was only 8 left in there so you didn’t short yourself in the future. I’m all beside myself wondering what you’re going to use them with. Since you called them croutons I’m guessing some type of soup or salad.. but then that’s just my speculation.
Hello from the mountains of NE GA. I love your videos!
John, you make absolutely THE BEST stuff! Can’t wait to see what you use these with!

Great idea
@@historyteacher4402 couldn’t you just cut the dividers like John has in half, they would then fit the quarter sheet pans
@ Maybe. I was thinking of that, too. 👍🏻

👍👍👍👍👍
My trays warped just putting them in the freeze dryer. They did send me new ones. Amazing looking closely at the trays how different they are made
So it is ok to put the silicon liners in the oven?

Yes , I have used them many times with no problem
Thank you. I love your freeze drying foods. I try many of them.
I use some baking pans from the Dollar Tree. 2 pans for each of my medium size trays.
