Honestly this cars design feels timeless. I've seen countless Chargers and Challengers and they just don't get old looking.
It's because it's already old looking with modern aesthetics. I think it looks good.

True. Its like the shape of the 911. Both are timeless.
Always felt this looks bland compared to the original charger. New challenger got bulkier and angrier than the original, yet new charger shrunk to something resembling chevy impala. it is not a bad looking car by any means, but definitely blander than it could have been.

@@angelgjr1999 It is just an annoying whine. No complexity to it at all. I'd go nuts after hearing it for a day and rip it out.
The redeye motor is actually a detuned demon engine. Upgraded internals over the hellcat engine.
Does that mean this would be more reliable?

I always love a car that can do it all. Sport sedans are amazing in the fact that you can take your whole family for a trip, take your kids to school then go tear the track or the drag strip on the weekends.

I'd argue a wagon would be nice. Like the dogdge magnum (but more stylish). Like the Audi RS6 Avant, Mercedes AMG E63 Wagon, etc.

This Charger will always have a soft spot in my heart because it looks amazing, and also just sounds amazing with that 6.2L supercharged Hellcat V8~~ No one can build muscle cars better than Dodge in my opinion

Wow, the world's best sedan? It's the fastest I believe with a top speed of 203 mph!!! Also the sound, look, and usability I agree it may be the best overall fun car to have in the garage. Cars like this are what has made me a Dodge fan lately! Fun video guys

I got a hellcat manual in 2017 and daily drove it. The clutch to daily drive was a pain in the ass, it's very heavy. After about 8 months of that I ordered a 2018 hellcat widebody with the zf and never looked back. I'll have that car til I die.
I never thought I'd rock purple, but that's really hitting the spot.

@@TheStraightPipes Yes, but electrification is unrealistic when at least 80% of the world runs on ICE The problem around it is the fear mongering, resulting class warfare and general lack of education on the emissions that are created by charging the vehicles, manufacturing them and the impossibility of pushing the entire world electric. There is a perspective issue. People are being conditioned to view ICE as dirty and inefficient. Subsequently, we are abandoning ICE just as they're becoming the most efficient they have ever been. A Ford Model T got 13-21 MPG with 20 Hp and now you can get that kind of mileage in something with over 400 Hp. Which means ICE is the most efficient its ever been, just in time for us to go all in on a different propulsion that people wrongly believe to be more efficient and cleaner in every way. We hunt universal solutions that just do not exist, hurting each other in the process and going all electric will only take away mobility from people that cant afford to go electric, let alone buy an ICE vehicle (especially in an inflated market). When they are outlawed, the result will be more struggle, more division and more problems, not less of any of these things...all to make ourselves feel like we are clearer. Hubris. Sure this is "just a UA-cam channel" But in my eyes you are all on the front line of educating consumers on the reality of electrification, not just the idealistic joys of what they offer in the short term.

The goverment aint gonna come take away ur ICE truck you can drive it till the day u die man no one cares. Ive actually gotten two challengers as RENTAL cars lately with hemis...and the power was incredible! Just the stock rental car version was one of the fastest, best handling, and most feature packed cars ive driven maybe ever! Incredible vehicles!! Dodge has seriously picked up the game with these cars and their ram trucks!

I got a black one last summer. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Wait until you put about 6000 kms on it - it gets ridiculously fast! It’s on another level compared to my 2019 Charger Hellcat. Just better in every sense.

Sadly the only way to get awd is get the trackhawk, durango hellcat or ram trx hellcat. Basically stuck with a suv or truck

7:27 THAT'S THE THING!! which, most people don't know/understand because you have to experience it! Numbers, Q-mile times, 0-60, etc. all that doesn't matter! 7:27 IS ALL THAT MATTERS! Now, every person has a different thing that gives them that feeling, it's not just speed. For me, it is exhaust sound and handling, for some it's speed, for some it is comfort, for some it might be just looks, my point is, it doesn't matter what car you have or haw fast it is, if it gives you 7:27 feeling when you drive it, that's it! I think the Charger is perfect for the American market. The supercharger aspect is also fine as it doesn't require as much detailed engineering as turbocharging and it gets the job done. The fit and finish look pretty good on the dealer floor. I prefer we not compare it to the BMW M5 as that car is tailored for a different demographic.
So which car were you guys using to capture the first launch? That car is definitely faster than the hellcat redeye.

FCA should have, for the swan song of the SRT sedans, figured out how to stuff the all wheel drive driveline into these things. With 1000 lbs less than the JGC Hellcat, it might have had a chance to compete against the Model S Plaid. It’s interesting how the hot rod guys have forever been staunch critics of all wheel drive, but now with the power being generated by both IC and electric powertrains, it’s really a requirement for usable power.

I had a regular Hellcat and upgraded to the widebody Redeye. You definitely feel the difference on the corners (yes it can take turns) and it pulls harder.

The entire drivetrain is borrowed from the demon, not just the supercharger lol... Both the Charger and Challenger Redeye's are slightly detuned Demons minus the trans brake, high octane mode, and the drag mode setting for the electronically adjustable Bilstein dampers, the Nitto drag radial tires, and the Demon Crate... The Redeye engine from top to bottom inside and out is all Demon other than the redeyes come stock with a Gates green supercharger belt and the Demon's did not... as well as the transmission, torque converter, driveshaft, differential, and axle shafts, are all right from the Demon parts bin...✌🤘

I'm thinking the longer wheelbase helps the Charger put all that power to the ground. Lot of people breaking traction in Challengers but I don't see that as much with Chargers.
