I spent a session on the Truro cricket club part of the estuary recently. Micro bass were very prolific there also. Kept me occupied for a few hours and certainly beats the blank.
Cheers for the comment and yes if it wasn’t for them we would of fallen asleep so very true what you’re saying, a bites a bite haha 😂 microtwats, good sign though 💚👍😎
Hey Paul, I’ve started fishing a little more lately been really enjoying it my dad loves the telescopic Rod I bought from your shop you had in Plymouth market, was gutted when we came into the market a few weeks back and your shops gone. Shows how often I go to that part of town lol
Hi Bassman, thanks for the tips about using running paternosters. They really do work when you are fishing a surf full of loose weed. I tried it out on the local beach this afternoon and was able to fish reasonably well despite loads of sea lettuce and wrack washing about.
I'm from West Cornwall, i like fishing for Bass when i can get out. I also have been known to do LRF and fly fishing. I live near Hayle so i might try for a Gilt soon.
Caught my first 2 legal sized bass a month ago at Shaldon opposite Teignmouth... got fed up with lures and did a forage and found a couple of nice peelers.. boom 💥...2 casts 2 fish.. well chuffed...used pop up beads too...
Has anyone ever thought about ground baiting at low tide for bass and fishing the flood? Poped into my head last night. Going to try it in my local estuary the Tamar
I used to go out waiding Waste deep and I used to dig my own Worms and the split ones I would put in a Tesco’s bag tie around my wading belt and stab it a few times with scissors, I literally had Bass at my feet! In the dark of coarse Try it man let me know 😎😎🪄
Excellent mate welcome along my friend! That’s a shame about the license, we have a freshwater license here for carp fishing, etc. It’s £30 a year or a lot more for trout and salmon. Sea fishing is free here atm 👊 Keep supporting 😎💚
I went mullet fishing again but this time did not catch anything they were jumping spent a lot of hours mullets did not take any bait it's very difficult to understand when mullet will eat or not eat I like mullet fishing but im sad 😢 not catching anything
Hey Paul, I'm from Bournemouth, Dorset. Actually, I have an UA-cam channel too named "fishing Allure". I'm your follower for some time now, and watched all your videos. Will be nice if we could one day fish together on a session, we have some good mark's here in Dorset, one of them is chesil beach in Waymouth. I will like to meet you, I'm your fan, learned few things from you, but my fishing style is different from "inglish fishing" , I'm doing more surfcasting fishing style, using 4.20 meters (14 ft) surf rods and big spool reels and thinner monofilament top quality lines from 0.20mm to 0.28mm, using 15 meters tapered or conical shock leaders, more " continental" fishing style, I think is called this way. Keep up the good work, and hope we can meet one day and fish together, that will be an pleasure for me mate. Speak soon my friend.
Thank you for the love 😎👍 I’m very happy to meet up one day on the big beach, I’ll give you a shout. If you’ve watched ALL my videos you will see conti style rods reels and trabuco .28 in use. I’m happy with both set ups and enjoy fishing light but prefer the two piece rods with a nice powerful multi reel. Catch you later 👋😎🎣 Top man

I seen people using ragworms for mullet fishing but these local people they won't share the bait they will catch a lot of mullets bag full when I see them my heart brakes to see that they catch a lot of mullets I'm catching nothing
