The 5950 isn't the best choice for gaming. The 5900 is. Fewer cores in the same space bring better overclocking potential. Go with the 5950 if you have actual work that needs more cores or if you want to make gameplay UA-cam videos. It is most for show off. Then if you go with AMD, opt for a 6900XT. You can have an 6900XT + Ryzen 5900 for the money of an RTX 3090. Unless you care about RayTracing, you have lots of money or you can have any special discounts, it is not wort getting an RTX 3090.

Would have been nice to see more info about noise levels though. Or even a thermally normalized noise chart, ie. How loud are they all at the same temperature. After all, being able to throttle down your fans on a 360mm rad is a big advantage over a 120mm.

A custom loop is too expensive for me and my O11 mini doesn't have room for a pump with a 3090. I do have room for a 280mm rad.
Is there an AIO that I can use or that can even drive this block?? I had a 2080ti with a NZXT X42 140mm AIO and it was incredibly effective; idled at 38°C, 51 under load. Is there something like that for the Gigabyte Gaming OC 3090?
My R7 2700x is separately cooled by a 360mm AIO.

But how much was the CPU used in this scenario? From what i can tell you only run F1 2020. Can you try this with more demanding games (MS Flight Sim) or benchmarks?

Thoughts on experience level needed for either a custom 240 loop in a T1 or dual 240 in an M1? Scale of 1 to 10? Both seem relatively straight forward based on years of lurking on all the build logs on forums, just a matter of what pump/res block and planning for filling/bleeding/draining. Looking to do my first custom loop but also first SFF build. Really like the T1 overall but leaning towards the M1 for optimal cooling/noise. Planning a 5900x/3080 (ti if ever released).
As always, love the content. Thanks

Bought 2x360mm radiators and best way to cool you ur pc seems like pump>radiator>cpu>gpu>radiator>resevoir>pump. Let me know what you think.

Hi, I really like your videos and I am in love with small cases. I am currently try to build a 3d graphic workstation with 24 cores threadripper, 128 gb of ram and a 3090 Asus TUF gpu. I would like to make a build i can easily transport, since I live far from my hometown. Would you suggest to go for a smaller yet ATX case (like the Cerberus X), or should i go for a more airflow focused case, even if it is bigger? I am a little worried about temps. thanks

My man just triggered all of r/watercooling. Folks there will tell you you will need at least a 360 rad for the 10900k alone for close to acceptable results haha

Well you probably do, for heavy CPU workloads. But for gaming you can obviously get away with less.

4:20 Here is a reason: If you increase the rad area you can have the similar temps but vastly lower fan speed. 1500rpm sounds loud to me.
If you have a large case and a stupid amount of free fans, why not?
I have 480 and 360 in a caselabs merlin, push pull on both with 15 sanace fans. They sit at 400rpm and go to about 750rpm gaming. I have never seen the GPU (1080ti) go over 50c even in hottest summer days with 30c+ ambient. It is overkill i know, thats the way i like it 😁
It is suprising what you can get out of a single rad though, certianly impressive considering the amount of heat. I could forgive a computer that is small and powerfull being abit louder under load.

Nice, I have the same PNY 3090. It’s a very underrated card. Stock Bios allows for 110% TDP which lets it boost up to 2ghz+ reliably at around 63c just under 80% fan average. (Stock curve) Water cooling should bring down noise considerably.

Pretty sure this block has directional flow. Input to the GPU which then splits to the left and right.
Might not matter much but that intro B-roll had it going the wrong way :)

How crazy is it that the 3090's clockspeed only goes op 30-40 MHz when looking at watercooling vs air, when the 2080 ti went up around 80 MHz. Aircooling has become so good at this point.

Is it feasible to have 4 x 3090 watercooled? Need a 4 gpu workstation, and top choice so far is A5000 on Asus Sage mobo, but 3090 is cheaper and faster. Main problem I can see is needing 2 slot GPU + cooling (blower style hard to find), so watercooling might be the solution?

Is it possible the loop didn't reach equilibrium? With a 30min test period, I've had at least 2 loops in the past that were fairly small and took 40-50 minutes to do so... Any thoughts on that? A bit hesitant to accept these results, just based on personal experience.

Just curious, did you measure the backplate temperature? I am considering using the block in a sandwich style case, but I heard that these G6X modules get very hot under load. I am a bit concerned due to the lack of airflow over the backplate in that kind of case.
