My Daily 540i V8 EPIC SOUND - BETTER THAN AN M5?

- Decided to design the perfect exhaust for my 540i Msport.
The stock setup was just too quiet. After Deleting the secondary cats, still too quiet. Deleted the Muffler, better but still not loud enough lol. Decided to delete the stock res and i fucked up lol was wayyy too loud.
Figured the bet way to go would be to install a Vibrant 3 inch res and 3 inch piping the rest of the way bypassing the stock res and muffler. No Rasp, No Drone a perfect V8 soundtrack.

@@e30life_91 not even the V10 of the E60 can hold a candle to the V8 of the E39
I assume that some mod to ECU was done to make those pops, which makes your engine to run rich so you have a bit of black smoke when reving. If it's not the case, i strongly advice to clean cylinders (there is a easy way to do that) to limit oil burning.
The 540i M Sport is an awesome car with the maintenance cost of an M5 and its best feature is that it can used as a daily driver 😀

daaaang...that sounds great.im gonna do a muffler delete on mine this spring.ive got a 2000 540i 6pd .ive had it 4 yrs and i think its a bad ass sleeper .all original except dinan chipped and tuned w/cold air.

Damn this exhaust is the best sounding I’ve found. I am a proud owner of the same vehicle (manual of course) and I have done countless research on finding the best exhaust. This is without a doubt the best sounding. Where can I purchase haha.
He put the info in the description. But i'll tell you here. He Stock headers / cats, removed stock resonator and placed a Vibrant 1794 bottle style resonator and just straight piped from there.
I have a 540i also straight pipe is the way to go

@@marcmuro4076 why would only gain not lose... open headers are best exhaust as long as not too wide of pipes...

Sounds fantastic. Do you remember where the vibrant was mounted? Was it on the tail end or before the rear differential. I’ve got one on order thanks to this video!

Did you experience any loss in torque when deleting the resonator? And any improvement when adding the vibrant resonator?

So if I understand correctly, the setup consists of leaving main original cat in place, after that basically a 3” straight pipe all the way to the back but with just a 3” vibrant 1794 ? I’ll be purchasing one of these soon and want the same exhaus sound! Sounds amazing bro!
Essentially yes. But the previous owner had done a secondary cat delete and over there the piping isn't 3 inch. We did 3 inch piping around the resonator and from it to the back.

is there a completely bare exhaust from the engine to the end of the back of the car?
So after the primary cats we have secondary cat deleted with straight pipe it then forms to one single pipe the same way as stock. We then have the stock res swapped out for a smaller 3 inch vibrant res and then straight pipe after that all the way to the end. No mufflers

@@osadakosihovce2586 only secondary catalytic converter was deleted. Stock center resonator also removed and replaced with 3 inch Vibrant bottle style res and then 3 inch pipe after that all the way to the tips, muffler deleted as well

@@zacklavictoire7646 I guess it comes down to how you drive it. Flooring it everywhere will certainly get you tickets. This video flooring it in the neighborhood would get most people calling the cops on you I'd assume. But averaging maybe 5mpg as a result of my heavy right foot, I've been lucky enough to never get a noise ticket, ALTHOUGH I was pulled over once for, "You accelerated very quickly, I heard it!" so... there's that afterall ahha! I never remove the resonators though, always too raspy and certainly too loud for a street car imho. Rear mufflers, and cats, cars always sound so bad ass.
and of course some 1,60m dude with chair lowered to the max so he cant see sh*t on the road above his steering wheel xD
